Great looking Digital watch - that makes me smart!

Nice watch! I’ve heard that many times during my first few weeks with the MK Runway smartwatch. This particular smartwatch is a departure from I’d come across because it is a beautiful merger of classic watch aesthetics with digital technology. From side angles you might mistake this digital watch for an analog one. Early smartwatches were a lot like early hybrid cars. They were overdone, and made to look too out of the ordinary. Now hybrid cars are looking more mainstream, and so are smartwatches. I am a watch freak, with a collection of over 25 watches. I am a fan of design, engineering and technology. The Runway has found a home in my watch collection sitting next to a full mechanical watch that runs off of gears not electrons. The MK Runway uses the Wear OS by Google, which keeps getting better with every update. There are so many features available to the wearer that it’ll keep you busy during many lunch breaks figuring it out and setting it up. MK makes it a lot easier to do this by providing video tutorials that walk you through configuration. Very helpful! For me I mostly use the smart features for getting messages, being notified when I get a call. Letting me know when I have an appointment. As I’ve gotten older it’s nice to have a device to remind me of things I might have otherwise forgotten. Speaking of getting old… My eyesight gets crappier every passing year. Reading glasses (i.e. cheaters), are a part of my life now. A benefit of the Runway watch is it’s large very bright and very accurate AMOLED display. I can almost see it without my glasses on! LOL! The Google OS software allows me also to make the fonts larger, and if that doesn’t help the Google Assistant can be set up to tell me the time audibly just by saying “Hello Google - please tell me the time”. I find the Assistant to be as good as Amazon’s Echo technology, and better than Apple’s SIRI. I should mention that I’m an Apple iPhone user, and pairing to the MK Runway was effortless. Early smartwatches didn’t do well if you left their ecosystem (iOS vs. Android). Thankfully that is not a problem any more. I own the first version of the Apple iWatch, and still use it. This is just a much better watch, one that doesn’t look futuristic but has more features than I’ll ever need. A major complaint I have with my iWatch and most smartwatches, is that they don’t stay lit. Smartwatches conserve energy and extend battery life by turning off the display until needed. The problem with that is you need to flip your wrist to wake the display up. This has always been a complaint of mine as often I want to discreetly look at my wrist to see what time it is. Many times in meetings I will look down to my watch to see how much time is left before I need to wrap up. If the screen is blank I’ll have to noticeably turn my wrist. If I do that and the person I’m meeting with notices they feel like I have someplace better I need to go. I hate that! There is a new feature on the Runway that solves this problem. There is an option to keep the display lit in a low-power mode all the time! This is great! I’ve been waiting for this feature, and it now removes my hesitation for wearing a smartwatch daily. Yes, this feature does cut down on battery life. However I’ve had good results even in this mode. I’ve kept the watch display on all day at work and still had battery life left at the end of the day. I recharge it and start again. The Runway has all sorts of health related features in it, to monitor your heart beat, the number of steps you take every day. It integrates online with multiple different fitness websites. But to be honest I didn’t get this watch for fitness reasons. This is a fashionable watch. It’s rose gold exterior is shiny and good looking. I don’t wish to use this watch when I’m working out. I have another dedicated watch to do that. But I suppose it’s nice to know it can do both. Indeed this watch is waterproof, so you could swim with it. It’s also got a built in GPS, so it would be great to use in many fitness programs. But I use this watch for business purposes, it keeps me on time and organized. There are so many things to like about this watch, I am very happy with it and definitely recommend it. A watch to me is more than a timepiece, it is a piece of jewelry. That’s what sets the MK Runway apart from a crowded smartwatch space. It looks great, it is well made, extremely lightweight (one of the lightest watches in my collection). You barely feel it’s there when you are wearing it (a few times I found myself checking to see if it fell off). It sits extremely well on my wrist and has been my go to daily watch now every day since I received it. If you like the looks of the watch - buy it! There’s a ton of tech built-in, and I’m impressed by all of it. There’s a lot to like about the Runway by Michael Kors. If you already bought one - congrats! Awesome isn’t it? :-)

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this watch! (Did I mention I love this watch?) I’ve tried the Apple Watch, the ASUS Zenwatch, and later the Fitbit Versa. I found all the watches lacking in some way. The Apple Watch was uncomfortable, the ASUS lacked many features, and the Versa was just OK. It really wasn’t the fully featured smartwatch I had hoped it would be. The first thing out of the box was how stylish the MK Access watch was. I was a bit afraid that it would look too masculine, but the rose gold does a lot to soften the look. The second thing I noticed was how COMFORTABLE it was! This was my biggest fear. I have a larger-than-average wrist, and I thought I might have to look at getting a different band or an extra link. Good news! It comes with an extra link in the box! I didn’t need it, but how awesome is it that they included one? The metal band is easy to get on and doesn’t pinch at all. I am usually aware when I wear a watch, but I would frequently forget I was still wearing it. It was easy to set up. The watch is partially charged out of the box. I did have to plug it in for an hour or two to charge to 100% after I finished setting it up. I find the battery lasts for a day and a half. It charges super-fast, though – faster than my phone does. The charger is included, though it did NOT come with a plug, so you will need to use a USB hub or another plug to use it. The watch uses Google Wear iOS. It has the features you expect in a smartwatch. The watch buzzes to alert you to phone calls; you can also answer the phone with the watch. The caveat to this, though, is that you cannot use the watch to actually use the phone. The watch has no speaker and no sounds. You can control your Google Music as well – again, though, no speaker, so you cannot hear your music through your watch. You still need to use your phone. The watch also does not have its own GPS – it uses your phone for locating. One of the apps that uses this is Google Health. I won’t say that this app is as robust as the fitness tracking that Fitbit offers, but it’s pretty good. It would meet my needs. I tried the walk function and it located me, then allowed me to start and stop the tracking. It also recorded my heartbeats. The watch also allows you to take random heart rate readings without having to use the Google Health app. You can customize the watch with different faces, though I found the selection a bit limited. I didn’t see where you could download more options for the faces. More features include syncing with various mail apps, weather, and agenda, along with social media sites such as facebook. If you are in the market for a smartwatch, I would recommend the MK Access watch be put at the top of your list.

Michael Kors has just put out their newest line of the access series which i believe is called the runway model. This watch is very typical to most smart watches on the market however this brings the style and elegance of everything you would hope to expect from a Michael Kors line. Lets see if this is a right fit for you and worth the price tag. First off out of the box you can tell they did not hold back when it comes to quality and design of this product. It comes very elegantly wrapped. What you can expect to receive right out of the box is the watch, set up manual and two prong magnetic quick charger with cable. The watch face itself is pretty decent in size. Its not too large but its not small either by any means. The watch comes with a very nice metal band/ clasp set up and the watch will need to be taken in to be sized for your wrist. If you live near a Michael Kors retailer they will size their watches for free. The watch is both compatible with apple and android users. Set up is not hard and was done with in minutes. Simply pair using bluetooth and download the app. One important thing to note as i have seen there were connection issues is to make sure both the app and watch are both update with the latest software or you will run in to connection issues. The watch has a battery life of just a little under 24 hours depending of course on your settings and apps that you are running. Charge time has been stepped up from their latest models to where you can receive an 80% charge time in about an hour. Now i know alot of people tend to complain about the run time only being about an hour but one thing you need to understand is this is not your typical watch. I am a big smart watch fan and own a few different ones and one thing i can tell you is the higher end brand name watches typically tend to be only about a 24 hour run life. This doesn't bother too much as i tend to wear them for special occasions or if i do wear them every day no big deal i just set it on the charger when i go to bed and grab it when i wake up. Don't let the battery life sway you from this beautiful design. Lets talk functionality. This watch is a step up from their other designs in a few ways. For starters they have implemented a heart rate monitor and fitness apps. This watch is also water proof and has apps that track your laps. Me personally i would never take a watch of this caliper swimming regardless just due to the fact that it is a Michael Kors. Aside from a few differences this watch acts and feels like a typical smart watch. You have hundreds of different watch faces to choose from with more styles being added. You have a wide range of apps to suit your everyday needs including tons of fitness trackers. A stand alone GPS in case you wish to leave your phone in the car it will still track your location and miles ran or biked then log it. You can receive text messages, emails, phone calls and basically all the notifications that go along with a phone. The band is also interchangeable in case you don't like the clasp style. You also have google assistant built in. I don't want to drag this on and on about all the features available as they are pretty much the same features as most smart watches out there with not too much stand alone features. This watch is pretty much an upgrade to its predecessor which is good because it means it has finally joined the ranks of what some of the other smart watches out there are capable of doing. Here's my take away from this watch. If you have ever owned a smart watch then all of this will seem very familiar to you with not too many differences. However what makes this watch a nice piece to have is the fact that it is a brand name watch entering the market at a very competitive price. It brings a style of sleek design that you would expect to see from a Michael Kors line with all the functionality to keep up with your every day life rather it be fitness or business. If the one day life span is going to bother you then step away and buy something else. But if your looking for a watch that can do what all the other watches can do but looks very sleek and classy than this is the watch for you.

Michael Kors - Access Smartwatch 41mm Stainless Steel - Rose Gold with Rose Gold Stainless Steel Band This watch is very attractive to wear whether casually or dressed up. It comes in different finishes, but mine is Rose Gold, and with the 1.19" round amoled display, rose gold is an attractive contrast with the at-rest deep black face of the screen. While the body is 41 mm, it is not too large in appearance or use. With the stainless steel body and band, it will look good for a long time. There are other bands available should you need those. The watch face is customizable so that in style or color you can give your watch a new look or simply go with whatever color outfit you're wearing. Here are some of the specific specifications: • Powered by Wear OS by Google™ (includes start/stop music & listen even without phone, check weather, calendar events, reminders and more) • Compatible with iPhone® and Android™ phones (download appropriate smartphone app, some features only available with Android phone) • AMOLED Display: Active-Matrix Organic Light-Emitting Diode • Social Media Updates • Text/Email/Phone Call/Calendar Alerts • App Notifications • Smart Help From Google • Built-In Fitness Tracking (steps, distance, heart rate, calories etc) • Voice-Activated Google Assistant • Heart Rate Tracking • Swim-proof Technology (water resistant up to 30 M) • Payment Technology (NFC) with Google Pay • GPS Distance Tracking (locate places, turn-by-turn directions etc) • Display Animation • Clasp Fastening • Extra Buckle Included To Use With Interchangeable Straps • 2-Year Warranty The Michael Kors Access Smartwatch will give you about 24 hours of use before recharging is needed (depending on the type and amount of use aside from just normal watch functions). It has a magnetic charger that attaches to the back of the watch so you don't have to fiddle getting the connection just right. It completely charges is about 1 hour. It has three buttons on the right side as it faces you on your left wrist. The larger center pusher button powers on the watch and also accesses the watch menu for settings, apps etc. The smaller pusher buttons, one above and one below the larger center pusher, are programmable so that you can access preferred functions with just the push of a button. Connectivity is through BT to your phone, but you can also connect through Wi-Fi as well. If you're connected to your home or office Wi-Fi you can do various things without going through your phone. There are other functions, such as GPS location, that does not require your phone. Setup is a breeze. Follow the simple instructions in the box for setup access and then customize things to your heart's content. For instance, you can set it so that just a quick motion of your wrist will activate the display, or you can set it where you have to touch the screen for it to activate the display. There are many, many ways to customize nearly everything this watch can do. The above is not an exhaustive list of characteristics or functions - there are others, for sure. I think you can see that this Michael Kors Access Runway Watch is very attractive, well made, durable and with much functionality whether in the fitness area or in smartphone-like uses while at home, at work or just out and about.

This is a beautiful stylish looking MK women's watch which is also a smartwatch. Make no mistake as this watch although stylish and chic is a large watch which measures in at 41mm. The watch is stainless steel with a gold tone color. Personally speaking, I tend to love large watches, but for those women who have smaller hands, the bulk of the watch may be an issue. If you are looking for that ultra-sleek, slim looking watch this may not be for you. As with any watch, you may have to size it to your wrist size before use. There are many reviews which mention short battery life. MK advertises that the rechargeable battery will last about 24 hours under heavy usage. I found that to be pretty accurate. Short battery life is an issue with smartwatches, as the more you use them, the less time your battery lasts. Hopefully smartwatch in the future will solve this problem, perhaps by using a self wind mechanism to generate power, or possibly make them solar powered to boost battery life. The greatest feature of this watch is the ability to personalize the watch face. That's really a neat option so have fun with it. The MK watch paired with my iPhone XS flawlessly and is also compatible with an Android phone. Watch is also water-resistant to almost a 100 feet, which is great for those scuba diving ladies. It has SMS, email, calendar, and application notifications. It is also marketed with the ability to track distance, calories burned, sleep activity, heart rate and your steps taken. You will have to move and secure it on your arm just above your wrist for some of these functions to work properly. That's why its important to have it sized to your wrist properly. My overall impression? The MK watch should be a welcomed addition to anyone's watch collection. The MK worked as advertised and I encountered no problems. I can't downgrade the MK because of battery life, as you can obtain an 75-80% charge in an hours time. MK is on my recommended list. Enjoy your new smartwatch. .

My wife wanted a smart watch to go with her Rose Gold iPhone 7 but she does not like the square design of the Apple Watch Series 4. She wanted something that looked more traditional and was elegant to wear out at the same time. The MK Access Runway looks to fit the bill. It looks like a traditional MK watch and as an added advantage has a color that matches her phone. The software on the watch is Google’s smartwatch operating system called Wear OS. The watch needs to be paired with a smartphone and supports both iOS and Android mobile phones. However, on iOS you will be limited by the restrictions that Apple puts on its mobile operating system which will result in a lesser experience than what you’d find with an Android phone. On iOS, you will need to download the Wear OS app to do the initial pairing and wifi setup. The app will need to be running in the background for the watch to receive notifications. The main difference between notifications on iOS and Android is that you won’t be able to interact with most notifications on iOS. For instance, you will receive a notification of an incoming call and even a green button to answer it, but the call will need to be taken on your iphone. I did not actually test the watch on an Android smartphone but I can only assume it would be a better experience. One of the benefits of using this phone with iOS is you’ll be able to use Google Assistant on the watch. As you might expect most Google apps such as Assistant, Mail, Calendar, Keep, Maps, etc. work very well on the watch. With NFC built in you can even use Google Pay to pay for good and services just like you can with the Apple Watch. Battery life seems to be on par with what you would get with other smartwatches. About a day or so but of course your mileage will vary depending on your usage. The charger works very well with a strong magnetic connection to the watch and it charges very fast. Pros: iOS and Android Support Fashionable Design Interchangeable Bands Wifi, NFC, and GPS built-in Water resistant design. Lots of different watch Faces Fitness Features including heartrate and activity Fast charging. Cons: Difficult to resize band. I needed to remove 3 links. iOS will have limited functionality Overall I’d recommend this to iOS users as long as you understand the limitations and for Android users it’s a no brainer.

My house is a mix of iOS and Android - add in a Google Home, Philips Hue, Logitech - it's remotely smart. I couldn't justify a smart watch, but briefly considered the new Series 4 Apple Watch. I'm just not a big fan of the look. My wife is constantly on the go and would benefit from a smart watch more than I. When I saw the Michael Kors Access...I knew she'd love it. A little about my wife. She's not a fan of new technology. Even moving from one iPhone to another seems to cause some anxiety for her. I've learned over the years to introduce tech slowly and it has to work perfectly. Was I willing to risk my marriage on a smart watch that she didn't know she needed? First off, it passed the "fashion" test. This watch is beautiful - which is what you'd expect from Michael Kors. The band is stainless steel, but not overly heavy and clunky. Depending on the size of your wrists, you'll have to have some links removed. Setup is easy. If you're an iOS user you'll have ot download the Wear OS app from the App Store. This will allow for easy setup of the watch. The downside I suppose is the app has to be running to get SMS alerts on the watch. Not a big deal and just a minor issue when you mix different technologies. Mine required a new version of Wear OS, I'm assuming others will as well. I couldn't notice a difference between the two, but newer is always better :-) Once the watch and phone are paired, all your calendar and contacts sync. The watch will also connect to your wireless network which will allow better coverage around the house if you get away from your phone. There are a lot of other apps you can install as well as different watch faces - change faces to match what you're wearing, seasons, etc. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with the Access. It is a beautiful watch with a great interface. So far my wife has been able to adapt to it quickly without much issue.

I got this for my girlfriend. The Rose gold gives this watch a sophisticated look. You can also use it for jogging or cycling, how cool is that? You'll have to download an app to take advantage of all the features. My girlfriend sync up her spotify from her apps, she controls its through her watch. The watch itself has a built in speaker but you can barely hear it to be honest. I haven't tried to sync it to headphones. One thing i didn't like was that i wasn't able to reply back to text messages through the watch. I have to use my phone. I have to do this when someone calls as well. The battery life isn't a lot to brag about, it last almost all day if you don't use it so much, the watch itself is advertise at 24 hrs. If you try to use the smart saver mode it basically goes to airplane mode. I don't know why everyone is complaining about the comparability w/ iphones, the sync up was very easy. Finally, this watch is very stylish and its Michael Kors! My girlfriend has gotten a lot of compliments on her watch. I would recommend to anyone!!

This is the first smart watch I am beyond proud to have. The feel and look is amazing. The size is a tad large, but does not feel the part. The fact it uses all Google for its apps, I am excited, I am no longer limited to Samsung controlling the watch. The amount of faces to choose from are refreshing as well, no more downloading tons of 3rd party apps to make this happen. Connectivity to both my Essential or Note 8 was simple and painless. Now, it does function the same with both, it seems to be faster with my Essential phone. The charger is a great touch and is easy to connect. I can easily go all day on one charge and into the next as well. The touch screen is very responsive and uses the entire watch, it is not limited or cut off like my old Garmin. I also love I can switch bands as will. The only negatives are vague instructions and no tool to remove the pins to make the stock band fit my wrist. I am very happy with this watch and it is my new daily wear item, the Garmin is in the drawer.

Such a great smartwatch with luxury away from the cookie cutter norm yet having all the features of latest technology installed. My first run was a delight with 5K timing comparable to last last smartwatch. Tracking heart rate along with GPS is tops among features that is a definite must when choosing a smartwatch. My best feature is the sleep and comparing deep to light. Being able to swap out strap for silicone is a major plus for dressing up or down. What more could you ask for with Google Assist onboard. I will be enjoying this little gem for some time.

This watch has gotten me quite a few compliments as it has a very elegant look to it. The only issue i have is that the battery does not last for a full day, but from what I understand that is normal for these type of watches. It is accurate and easy to navigate. Many options for face changes keep it different on a daily basis. I love this watch.
