I'm a college student, so I use my computer every day. This mouse allows me to utilize my laptop to the fullest, without having to use my mouse pad-which can become uncomfortable after hours of working on homework and research. The sleek design allows your hand to rest in a natural way and yet supports you in all the right spots. I love that it can fold up and fit anywhere without being damaged. I've had mine for a couple years now and haven't had any problems with it. The soft sued like material allows your hand never to become overheated like a lot of plastic mice. I would definitely recommend this product and buy another if I needed to. Enjoy!

    Purchased the Arc in black

I have had this mouse since it hit the shelf at Best Buy, and I have to say it's been the best wireless mouse I've purchased. I've tried several from logitech and a couple from Microsoft, but this is the first one to prompt me to write a review. It responds on any surface with a slight pattern and the dpi makes it perfect for editing some of the webgraphics I do on my laptop. In addition, it's not bad when it comes to gaming. The only other mouse to ever inspire me like this was the Microsoft Optical Trackball - too bad they don't make trackballs like that anymore. When it says would I recommend this friends, I have to say I already am!!

I purchased the Black Arc and gave it a 5 review. Well after a week the wheel quit working, hopefully it's just a manufacture defect for that one and not indicative of a larger issue. Disappointing... we'll see how it goes for number 2. Still love this thing, but for the north side of $60 (after tax) I'd expect it to last longer than a week. I'm on the fence for recommending it at the moment but was force to choose so... no. Luckily my other MS wireless mouse still works after a couple of years of hard use so I'll keep that one readily available if I have to go back to BB again.

Don't buy this mouse!!!! The scroll wheel breaks!

I really liked this mouse when I bought it. I loved the look, and the way it folded up to protect the USB connector-thingy (yes, that's the technical term). However, like many other people, I also had trouble with the scroll wheel breaking way too soon. Also, the fourth (side) button is very hard to reach. Finally, it would be nice if there was another, fifth, button on the other side so you could program both forward and back. DO NOT BUY THIS MOUSE UNTIL THEY FIX THE SCROLL WHEEL ISSUE!!!!

I have had same one for almost 5 years however the scroll wheel got funky after 5 years or so. Symptom is when I scroll 3 down, it goes up once, therefore I needed replacement. Besides this scroll, it is great. What I love the most is that it fits to my small hand and some how the pinky finger goes under the arc making the holding comfortable. I purchased newer version of arc mouse but the mouse buttons are too far to reach with my short fingers and had hard time clicking so I got the older model.

    Same Problem with Wheel

I had the exact same problem as listed above - after less than a week the wheel quit working. I have a feeling that the plastic piece that clicks as the wheel is turned breaks off easily or simply comes unattached. I'm very wary now about purchasing another. If this had a frictionless well such as on the similar Logitech product, this mouse would be perfect. The folding design makes it very easy to transport and attaching it to my notebook is simple and easy. I would not recommend to others, however, until future models potentially address the mouse wheel issue.

Good mouse for laptop, bad range

I have my TV set up about 12 feet from my couch and my computer is plugged into my router right next to my tv. I have a 2.4ghz microsoft keyboard also. Both dongles must be plugged in. There is great interference and poor response at this distance. Other than that, the mouse is great as long as you are using it on a nice surface (not a couch) and are close to the computer.

    The worst mouse ever!

I had this mouse for all of 2 weeks and the middle scroll stopped working. I thought it was the batteries so I replaced them and to no avail. The wheel moves as if it is not attached to anything. I would not give Microsoft another dime, get a Logitech. I surely learned my lesson.
