Nice design, but everything else is horrible.

I bought this because I wanted a keyboard with a small footprint that would be comfortable to use. This appeared to fit the bill, and indeed, the size and comfort are top notch. The problem is, the thing works only intermittently, if at all. As best I can figure, the keyboard is extremely aggressive about preserving battery life, because it turns itself off after only 15-20 seconds of inactivity. This wouldn't normally be a problem, except that it takes about 3-5 seconds to wake up when you're ready to use it again. For somebody that types, thinks for 30 seconds about what to say next, then types again, this is infuriating. And that's just its working state. Despite a light being present on the device, there is absolutely no warning when your batteries are about to die (after less than a month's use). And when the batteries are getting low, the keyboard completely spazzes out, shutting off randomly in the middle of typing, or getting stuck on a single key and repeating it ad infinitum. And sometimes, even with fresh batteries, it will just refuse to work, such as what happened today. This of course was the final nail in the coffin. Thankfully I purchased it less than a month ago, so I can take it back and get something that's not a piece of ****.

I bought this keyboard to replace a Rocketfish model I had been using for gaming on my HTPC. Setup was very easy and the design was nice. I really appreciated the thinness and table space required compared to the Rocketfish model. It connected simply to my PC and I started to type. Very noticeable lag but it eventually caught up...and then kept going. It was like it got stuck on a key. I thought it was due to the distance but after moving the Bluetooth dongle to the front of my PC and moved myself 4 feet from it... No change. Tried gaming with it (ME2) and it had the same symptoms previously mentioned, plus I noticed it had trouble recognizing two keys pressed at once (for strafing). The only other two choices for BT keyboards at BB were the Logitech PS3 keyboard and the Apple Wireless keyboard. I wanted to stay small so I got the Apple one and it doesn't have the problems the MS one did, plus it looks super. the only problem I have is the key layout is taking some getting used to, especially the location on the left shift key. Plus I need t find some way to map the media & volume keys to work in Windows.

Both my wife and I use this for an external keyboard for our iPads and it is an excellent choice. We especially like having both a backspace and a delete key, unlike the standard iPad keyboard. The poster who complained about the keyboard turning off is correct. On the iPad, you can tell because the onscreen keyboard shows up. You just tap any key when this happens and the onscreen keyboard disappears and you can type. The feel and responsiveness is great. Our only complaint is that it will only pair with one iPad at a time. When my wife uses it and then I do, I have to go through the process of re-pairing it before I can use it. Bottm line, I am going to buy antoher one to take care of that little problem! We have never experienced the problem of the keyboard being too far away and not passing information to the iPad. I have had it for almost two years now and have just replaced the batteries once. When I did need to replace them, the low battery light came on way before I experienced any typing issues. All told, better than the Apple keyboard and less expensive to boot.

I bought this keyboard in February 2011. It has a great footprint, and a nice feel. Battery life is good, I use it 10 hours a day during the workweek. So why a fair rating? After 8 months of use I need a new one. The P key works intermittently, the { } often fail, the space bar comes and goes. It's not full of ashes, or food. Nothing has been spilled on it ;-) It is simply not built very well. For comparison, the keyboard it replaced (Microsoft) lasted ten years... and still works, it was just noisy.

I haven't had any of the difficulties mentioned in other reviews. This keybaord is nice and small and comfortable and it types just as fast as my old wired keyboard. It stopped working last week after 4 monthes of continuous use and only then did I realize I had to replace the batteries. I 'm going to get another one for home...

    Decent design, awful range

Bought to use with a home theater pc. Design and feel of the keyboard was good. Range was pathetic. Dongle was installed on front of pc with clear line of sight and range was no better than 8-9 feet. Returned for a logitech RF. Much better.

Overall this works very well once connected. The problem I've had is I use this on three different iPads and each time I go to use it with a different iPad, I have to pair it again.
