Nice keyboard

Similar to my other MS ergo keyboard, this one feels nice. The angle of the keys lets me keep my wrists straight as opposed to having to turn them like when using a standard linear keyboard. It's also wireless, which is nice, except when trying to get into the BIOS. I just use a wired keyboard for that and then resume using this for the rest of my stuff. I'm using it as I write this. There are pips on the F and J keys at the bottom of the key instead of in the center. I like that better myself. The 6 keys that include Home and End as well as the 4 arrows are arranged in a standard pattern (2 rows tall, 3 columns wide) so I didn't have to learn to use a narrower style. Also has a dedicated 10-key numeric pad.
I still haven't taken the time to program the 5 special keys.
I wish the Escape key was more prominent. I keep missing it when I want to use it. Half the time I hit the ~ key. Oh well, not a big issue.
I rarely use the wireless mouse, but I would not have bought this duo had it not had the 2 thumb keys that I like to program for Enter and Back. I do the same thing at work and it makes doing things a lot easier!

Great keyboard. Great ergonomic keyboard with a very smooth mouse. Greatest feature is that it’s a very slim Keyboard compared to other Logitech keyboards that are very bulky. Easily fits My keyboard tray which has very little clearance underneath my computer desk.

This is the keyboard and mouse combo for me

I purchased it at a local Bestbuy store yesterday, and I have to say, this combo is meant for me.
I was looking for a new keyboard to replace my old one. I checked through BestBuy.com and found this keyboard was on sale. However, when I was ready to checkout, I found it was not available at my area, and I wouldn't be able to get it after a week. On the other hand, I am also an Amazon Prime member, I checked through Amazon and found a matched price, and I would only wait for two days to get it.
After I made up my mind to order through Amazon, the story went to the opposite way. I was wandering around my local BestBuy and waited to pickup my new Logitech G602 (which was also on sale), I found this baby was sitting alone on the shelf, yes, this was the only one left in the store or someone ordered online but changed his/her mind, even the shopping assistant couldn't explain why this "mysterious" keyboard was there. I took it without a second thought.
Pros:
1. The physical design is really comfortable for my hands, especially for the mouse. I don't have a huge hand, and the mouse is just about the size I can fully grip it.
2. The keyboard is very responsible for a wireless keyboard. It might have about 2~5ms delay, based on how far you put your receiver away from your keyboard and/or your desktop environment, if you have too many wireless device running at 2.4GHz, and your home Wi-Fi just happened to set as the same channel as the receiver channel, this could be a big problem, anyway, I don't have any of this issue. If you are unhappy about this delay when playing games, I would recommend you purchase a separate gaming keyboard like I do.
3. Customize your keys. For a daily use keyboard, you will have 26 keys on the keyboard, and 3 keys on the mouse that are capable to be customized, I would call it "a lot". I sometimes will have to use Macro when doing some work, while I don't like using the combination keys to start a Macro, setup a key on my mouse would save me 20% of the time to switch my hands to press multiple keys when working.
Make sure to download the Mouse and Keyboard Center app from Microsoft. This is the part I think Microsoft could do some improvement in its OS. Otherwise you won't be able to customize your keys.

Cons:
No major problem is found so far.
One of the small issue I found was described above, the Mouse and Keyboard Center is a software needs to be downloaded separately,
The other issue is the TOP customize-able keys 1 through 5 are only available for website or apps quick start. These unnamed keys would be my favorite if I could plant some Macros in it, but Microsoft limited these keys function, but allows you to customize the Macros from other named keys, such as, the homepage key, the email keys, the picture keys, etc.
Overall, I am happy with my new keyboard and mouse.

I never cared for ergonomic keyboards because I couldn’t type like i normall do. There is no problem typing on this keyboard, but it is noticeable more comfortable for my wrist position rather than typing on laptop keyboard. Mouse feels great as well.

I work from home and my employer provides my computer and accessories but I decided I wanted something a little better than the basic keyboard and mouse. I saw this online for $39 and decided to give it a try. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase! Should have done it years ago. This might not be top of the line but for just under $40 you can’t go wrong with it. The keyboard and mouse are both made well, very comfortable to use, and a major upgrade to basic wired set ups. Can’t beat it in the price range!

It's really not a slam at Microsoft but, rather, the general "We're selling this everywhere but we're too cheap to produce instruction guides for each language" mentality of all corporations. There is NO guide for the keyboard when you've got questions. For instance, the keyboard has a series of keys at the top--above the function keys--that I have no idea what they're used for (some are apparently for bringing up home page or adjusting volume but there are keys numbered 1 to 5, plus a star key, and I haven't a clue what these do).
Also, the keyboard is lacking a VISIBLE display showing when the Number Lock or Caps Lock key is in use. Without these displays, entering passwords can be INCREDIBLY difficult (I had to go to the Microsoft website to find a way to do a workaround--had to go to my computer settings to set an audio signal); I think the Number Lock key is "on" by default.
Aside from those inconveniences, the keyboard and mouse work pretty well. I did have a problem early on. I'd bought a new computer but wasn't happy with the keyboard and mouse that came with it (the keyboard was too small for my liking--the arrow keys were kind of smooshed into the number pad and I tended to hit the right arrow key when I wanted to type a 0; but I digress . . .). So, I got this one and it was working fine. Then a pre-installed program had an update that caused the computer to kind of crash. When I called the computer manufacturer to restore the computer, the new keyboard wouldn't work during the process. (That whole F8 while loading thing? Wasn't happening.) I waited a couple of days using the old keyboard before trying the new one, and haven't run across any problems. Of course, I haven't had to try any drastic measures (like the F8 thing).
IF Microsoft would either make a GOOD user's manual for the keyboard (even online--the website's user manual isn't much better) OR included display lights ON the model (the available user manual covers a variety of different models--you have to figure out which features do and don't apply to yours), I would've given this at least 4 stars. If they did BOTH, it would've gotten 5 stars.
As is, the keyboard will mostly do what you need it to do--just make sure you adjust your settings to make the keyboard alarm for the CAPS LOCK key. It will keep you from unnecessarily having to change passwords. (I ended up changing my password for one IMPORTANT site four times before I realized I didn't know if my CAPS LOCK key was on or off. The CAPS LOCK key, it turned out, had been on when I tried entering my password the first time and when I reset, then it was off when I tried entering the password after the reset.)

Easy setup and good reception. Easy to setup hot keys and other features. Mouse works well with separate back/fwd buttons which are nice. Keys aren't too loud, but the spacebar is...not something you'll get away typing on with someone else trying to rest. Can't seem to get the num lock to stay on when I power down, have to turn it back on with each cpu power up, but other than that it's great.

More expensive than many others in the store, but very comfortable to use. Would be nice if the escape key and the function keys were a little larger (I have to look for them instead of using them by touch), but otherwise a very good purchase.
