The best mouse I've ever owned.

This is easily the best mouse I've ever owned. I have rarely purchased an after market mouse for my computers. But, the computer I now own came with a mouse that was just unbearable to use. I had to replace it, so I went to my local Best Buy and looked over the selections of mice, and locked in on two in particular, both under $30. One was a Logitech device, the other this Microsoft device. They had similar comfort features and design. After looking them over I decided to buy this one as it was 2 bucks less and seemed to be at least the equal of the other. I'm glad I made the selection I did. I have action with this mouse like I had never encountered before. The speed is absolutely incredible, and it requires developing a deft touch to use it. Even after a day of use I'm still not totally in control of it, but that's ok. I'll get there. If you are like me then you don't want to spend uber bucks for the trickiest mouse out there. All you want is a comfortable device with some nice action for use with your home computer. This optical mouse provides you with all the comfort and functionality you'll ever really need in a mouse. If your hand hurts whenever you use your current mouse then this mouse will definitely improve your disposition.

I've had this mouse for a couple of months now and I can't say I'm overly pleased with it. It gets the job done and it hasn't had any technical faults, but for all of its supposed "comfort" or "ergonomic" features, it is not comfortable at all compared to other mice out there. The left and right click buttons require quite a bit of pressure to press; I have found myself using both my index and middle fingers together to press the left mouse button to ease the strain a little. And this is coming from a 20 year old - anyone with weaker hands may have serious discomfort using it. The way that the buttons share the same piece of plastic as the rest of the mouse seems to be partially the cause of this - all the mice I have seen designed this way, while nice to look at, are really uncomfortable to use. The middle click is basically useless due to having to press it down so hard for the zoom/automatic scroll option. At least using it as a regular scroll wheel is OK. All in all, I am not too happy with the purchase and am looking for a replacement already.

GREAT MOUSE PURCHASE FOR THE PRICE!!

Our original one was over 6 years old and had over 2000 hours of game time on it from my gamer-husband before I got it to use on my computer. (he has sizable hands ;) and that was his only complaint when he upgraded) Since then, hundreds more hours were put to the test before it finally died. My 8 year old and 12 year old have been able to use this mouse over the years with ease. It's slick ride, ergonomic design and easy to reach buttons make this very easy to use. This microsoft mouse is well worth the price-I plan on replacing mine with this exact same one. **Recommend this for gamers looking to upgrade from the "out of the box" mouse that most computers start with, internet-surf junkies or document freaks as well!!

    Nice, Comfy Mouse

This mouse is exactly what I wanted. I wanted a comfortable mouse that had a nice magnifier and could work on different surfaces. It has all those features and works with my Windows Vista laptop. I actually didn't have the need for a wireless mouse because the mouse that I use for this laptop was going to sit in my backpack when I wasn't using it and I didn't want to worry about charging it or changing batteries all the time. It is a little bulky for using with a laptop, but is does fit comfortably in my hand. If you don't absolutely have to have a wireless mouse, I don't think you can go wrong with this one.

The Microsoft Comfort Optical 3000 mouse is a very good mouse for the price. It has a tilt wheel for horizontal scrolling, and the scroll wheel is silent and does not make any noise at all. The only problem with this mouxe is that when I purchased it I thought that it had a forward and back button on the sides of the mouse, but it only has a magnify button located on the left side of the mouse. It comes with softawre that allows each button to be modified for different functions and preferences. Overall this is a great mouse at an excellent price.

What can I say? Its a mouse, its comfortable. O MY GOSH. This is the best mouse i've every held. Its amazing. It works on glass. Almost no optical mouses work on glass. Other than the annoying customizable button it is a great mouse, but you can turn off the button so who cares? *****TIDBIT: If you look on the package on the front. The lady is supposedly working on the computer although there is no data on the screen. Just a little Microsoft mistake.

i love this mouse. its awesome. simple, yet has a few extra buttons that come in handy for those not so techie people. you can customize what button does what. for ex. i have my side button as open new tab, and open. so i can go thru sites and things without having to right click and open in new tab. also, i use ventrillo and teamspeak. the side button is great for push to talk. only prob is, sometimes it bugs out on me when i change users on the computer. other than that, its amazing.

I bought this mouse to use with my laptop and it's great! You will need to run the installation disk before the first time you plug it in, but that was so easy and took only a minute or two. The mouse is very comfortable in either hand. It has a magnifier button that will magnify a section on the screen, which is especially handy if you have poor eyesight, if the screen print is tiny, and/or if you are working on a small screen laptop.

It's really precise, and I love using the extra buttons (when surfing the net, they are used for going to the next web page or the previous one). This mouse is very easy to use and easy to get accustomed to it's features. The only times I have problems is when the mouse rolls over a bit of dust or hair. It's pretty easy to clean out with a can of air or a cotton swab.

The mouse fits well in the hands of everyone in my family. It has a natural form and the index and middle fingers lay comfortably on the clickers. Using the wheel is an easy switch with either index or middle finger. The thumb and ring fingers don't struggle to move the mouse while keeping the other fingers ready to click either "right" or "left".

Great basic mouse that works on most surfaces.

I wanted a basic mouse to use with a laptop. I wanted one with a cord and this one is basic enough so there is little to go wrong but still has useful features. It works on most surfaces. (floor, arm of the easy chair, etc.) There is no rubbery cushions which can sometimes get gooey but is still comfortable to use. Scrolls easily.

This mouse packs a punch. When my ancient, roller mouse died, I wanted to upgrade to something optical. And the scroll wheel was a must. I picked the Microsoft Comfort Optical Mouse 3000 and haven't been disappointed. It's a nice solid mouse that fits well in my relatively large (right) hand. Comfortable, accurate, and problem free. I highly recommend.

Drivers cause problems on laptops with WinXP

    Posted

The Intellipoint mouse drivers cause MS Excel to flicker and paint text in the wrong places when switching between files on laptops running Windows XP. It makes Excel mostly unworkable. I have had 4 laptops (3 HP, 1 Lenovo) with the problem and always blamed the laptop. I finally isolated the problem to the Intellipoint Driver.

The mouse is comfortable with a nice, sloped top to support your hand and a surface that is easy to hang onto. The wheel is easily used by multiple fingers. The optical functionality allows it to work well on many surfaces without the need to clean it like a conventional wheel mouse.

This is really comfortable to my hand and also it works very well then other products. That is why I'd like to use Microsoft brand. You can get CD from box and it have special own capacity. I really like it and if you buy for yourself or other person, you will never regret it.

Love this mouse. I have had it for 3 years now. I've never had problem with it. I've actually wore out the color where my finger hits the mouse I use it so much. It is still working perfect. Great multi function buttons too.
