An above average keyboard mouse w/ shortcomings

My old Microsoft keyboard started to die and the top of the line mouse died and I bought this combo unit. The keyboard touch is slightly different and has about 12 less preassigned keys. It's good but once in a while misses a keystroke, I have moved the receiver and so far that solved the issue. The mouse is a huge drop in quality compared with the old mouse. First the ergonomics is fine but no side buttons to backup pages. Roller ball is tactile and good. My desk has a slight raise between two sections and the old mouse glided right over the seem where the two sections comes together. The new mouse does not, it hits the gap stops. I expect I will be buying a better mouse shortly. For a basic keyboard and mouse its good. For a person that is on the computer 3 to 6 hours a day, look elsewhere. Much to my surprise Microsoft has dropped many of their keyboards.

    Ok Keyboard, Horrible Mouse

The keyboard remains in great shape since purchase. It is a little loud, but I don't mind that, especially for the price I paid. The mouse is horrible. The battery is very hard to replace when it dies and the scroll wheel has lost its tactical feel and fails to properly scroll half the time.

Very reliable keyboard and mouse set! The price is what surprised me the most for a Microsoft brand mouse and key set.

I dont like using the laptop keyboard and always use a detached keyboard and mouse. The keys were sticking on my old keyboard/mouse combo so when I saw this one on sale I grabbed it. It doesn't lay totally flat like some which is what I like. Its raised up just right for me to type easily on it. I really like it. Good combo.

I have been pleased with this keyboard and mouse. I have occasionally had issues with lag input on the keyboard. Not sure if it was a range issue or interference with something else. But it has happened enough times to be concerned if I can use this for a long time.

A very good mouse and keyboard set from Microsoft. It has good battery life for both the mouse and the keyboard. The all keys and buttons seem to feel like it's good for office work.

During Zoom calls, I often need to type in chat or other places, but my laptop also needs to sit away from me. This duo helps me bridge that gap. Also, the duo works on one USB port, which enables me to use a flash drive or external hard drive, which is necessary as I work from home.

I own two of these keyboard/mouse combinations. I went out of my way to make this purchase because the keys on the keyboards are slightly raised (old-school-style). I hate the flat keys found on laptops. The only inconvenient thing would be the fact that the mouse doesn't have an on/off switch...but after months of use I still haven't had to change batteries.

My toddler broke my first one of these that I had for a few years and When I went to replace it I did not consider any other options. This is perfect - the number pad, the calculator button, and the range the connectivity has is all excellent— and the price is great

This keyboard works just fine but the only thing that I didn’t like is that it does not have a light indicator letting you know if the Caps Lock button is on or not which makes it annoying when typing in usernames and passwords on different sites.

Bought the Microsoft Wireless desktop 850 keyboard and mouse for my wife. Her only complaint is that it's smaller than she is used to using. I'm sure this will pass as she uses her computer daily. We are both glad I purchased it for her, to replace cords that kept getting caught on her desk.

I required a small compact lightweight keyboard to tie into my Raspberry Pi 3B+ to interface with a 3D Printer. This system powered up quickly and the wireless connection was painless. Key stroke is positive and touch registers that action was done. Very compact for moving out of the way to do maintenance and no cords.

I've had this product for about 2 months so far, and it has met all expectations. Battery life is great, especially with the option to turn the keyboard and mouse off when not being used. I do a lot of traveling, and I love this feature because with my prior wireless keyboard/mouse I would always have to take the batteries out every time I would get ready to travel.

I bought this to set up a work station at home and over the years have bought several wireless computer accessories/devices and Microsoft doesn’t disappoint with this mouse and keyboard combo... I only wish I could get a mouse and keyboard combo with a separate ten key pad as well.

I bought this as an alternative to a docking station for my laptop. Now I just use the laptop as the screen and this wireless keyboard and mouse on the sliding shelf in my desk. Works great. I just wish it had lights or brighter characters as they are hard to see when it's dark, even with the lights on in the room.
