    Buy Logitech, not this

Super low quality. USB stick broke in half 2 months after I bought it, simply pulling it out of the port. Upon inquiring further with Microsoft, they said they don't warranty against physically damaged parts: "My apologies if my request was not granted for the reason "any physical damage to the accessory is not covered within the Standard Limited Warranty of the accessory" and "any physical damage to the accessory voids the warranty". The USB dongle is also non replaceable, and it is not for sale since it contains a special program that is compatible only to the set it comes with." So, even though it snapped in half by simply pulling out of the port, they won't warranty the product AND, they don't make replacement dongles...so it's not totally useless and will end up in a landfill. I will add that there is a thread on their website about this model having the SAME issues with the USB dongle and 2,315 people said they have the same issue, before it was locked in January 2020. Arguably thousands of these things are now in landfills because they used some proprietary method to encode the USB receivers and they can't be replaced. Good luck to Microsoft in achieving their sustainability goals by 2030 by being carbon negative.

The keyboard is just like the one I had at work but I wanted a wireless keyboard and mouse now that I am working mostly from home. Very easy set up. It took me maybe two minutes to have it connected and working. The keyboard and mouse are simple - no bells and whistles but are exactly what I need and wanted. The keyboard can be a little loud when I type quickly. Overall, happy with the purchase and would buy it again.

Not really much different than the previous 800 series as far as i can tell. Range isn't bad. Surprisingly good for gaming. My only real complaint is the half-height function keys are somewhat annoying, especially if you use them for gaming on a regular basis, they can really throw you off. Other than that though, the price is certainly right, and the battery life is quite long. the delay is negligible, i found playing FPS's even wasn't bad, at least as a single player. I can't comment on the lag as a pro player, i'm use those types would find it intolerable, but that is not the target audience of this keyboard. For those looking for a good wireless keyboard/mouse combo to use on a daily-driver PC that doesn't require constant secretarial-level usage, or full-blown pro-level gaming, this is an excellent keyboard/mouse combo at an excellent price.

Easy way to get access to an old machine.

I decommissioned my old desktop and moved all the peripherals to the new one I had built by the Geek squad. I could hook up the old machine to one of my monitors, but I had to keep switching my mouse and keyboard back and forth -- apparently I had got rid of all my old ones. This product became a quick and easy way to attach a simple mouse and keyboard; no wires involved, and when I need to bring up the old machine, I just have to pick these up off the shelf. It had to install a driver when I first brought it up (it was easy for Windows 7) and then it worked like a champ. And it's a nice keyboard to use, as well.

Needed a replacement keyboard for my laptop. It’s not my main computer, so I needed something inexpensive. This combo set seems durable and I have not had any issues with it. There are few bells and whistles, but it’s perfect for what I need it for.

This is a basic keyboard and mouse combo that does what I want and feels precise while doing it. The mouse is a simple right and left click, scroll wheel, and dual button click unit. It's comfortable in my hand and feels tight when navigating; Logitech wireless mice have always had a "loose" feeling to me. I like that the holder for the USB receiver is on the outside of the battery case. The receiver snaps into and out of place with ease. The keyboard holds no surprises. The keys are perfectly-sized and responsive. Fingerprints stand out vividly on the black portions around the keys, but they're wiped off easily enough. My only complaints about the keyboard are that there aren't any lights on it to indicate when you have on Caps Lock and Num Lock, and there's no power light. If there are good batteries in the keyboard, it's on. If you want it off, take out the batteries. I live in a small apartment, so I haven't been able to test this combo's range. I'm still on the factory batteries, so I'd say the battery life is good. I bought it to control my laptop from a bit of a distance when I put in a DVD and to do some distant casual gaming on both my laptop and desktop, so this probably isn't a good choice for games that require heavy keybinding. This is a basic unit intended for casual use, and it does that rather well.

I purchased my original set of this product five years ago ( in March 2017). I like the original so much I bought a second one to use at work when I got a new job and didn't want my predecessor's nasty, crumb-filled wired keyboard. My original mouse/keyboard combo died suddenly and without warning tonight. So the first thing I did was dig out a spare mouse and order a THIRD set because I like it and it works very well.

great value for the price, connected easily with good feeling to the keys. The only issue which it shares with many other keyboards is that it lacks an indicator for capital lock

I purchased a Microsoft desktop 850 full size wireless optical keyboard around a month ago. I am quite pleased with the purchase and would recommend this to others. It was bundled with a wireless mouse as well. For the price it was a good deal. I was happy that I didn't have to make two separate purchases. Was on sale and that made it even better.

I purchased this bundle to go with a Mac Mini I was setting up for someone else. I used it extensively during the system setup and found it went well beyond my expectations. First, the price was good. For less than $25 it's a keyboard AND mouse. While shopping I was expecting to pay that for each. Next, it's very sturdy. For the price I expected a flimsy product but it is well made. Typing is fast, both in using the solidly made keys and in response time to the system, and the mouse is very responsive. I preferred an IR device over Bluetooth because conflicting radio signals have made my bluetooth devices cut out while IR just worked. The same with this keyboard/mouse. The Mac Mini I set up to dual boot into MacOS and Windows 10. Being Microsoft products these devices integrated perfectly with Windows 10. The preset shortcut buttons were working as they should and the others were easy enough to map. Though not preset, mapping out the shortcut keys in MacOS was perfectly simple as well. There were no issues using mouse or keyboard in either operating system. Sometimes there are products out there that really surprise. This is one of those products. Anyone needing an everyday input solution with their computers I have to recommend this set. I am contemplating buying another as backup for my own dual boot Mac.

If you need a straight keyboard and mouse you cant go wrong with this for $20. The driver autoloads when you put the USB receiver in the your USB port and everything just works. The keyboard battery lasts forever, the mouse battery lasts at least 5 months with daily use and only needs one USB port

The Keyboard is just what I needed for my work it is set-up to help me do my work and being wireless has made a better feature for me since I can get up and still continue to work. I am very pleased with product and recommend it to all in the market for a new one and it was very reasonable price.
