    Best Keyboard Ever

I’ve been using this keyboard for the last 5-6 years! Of course between years I’ve had to replace it a couple times because the letters tend to come off and it’s just a pet peeve of mine (although I’ve memorized the letters lol) nonetheless, if your on the fence about purchasing do not think about it any longer. This is the best keyboard ever. The keyboard is very smooth and has a soft pad to rest your wrist. The latest one I’ve had has lasted me 3 years so far.. and only the number A is slightly coming off. I do think over time the quality in the letters staying on has got better.

My previous MS Ergononic keyboard was worn out. I was very happy with it - but everything wears out - so time to replace. This unit has all the familiar features - but what I like best is the "key board feel" and the comfortable wrist pad. The keys are smooth yet similar to an old fashion typewriter (a nice sound). I have not tried any of its advanced features yet. But the unit has the main feature I was looking for - a very comfortable ergonomic layout. I hope it lasts as long as my previous one.

Great Keyboard - Saves Your Wrists When Typing

I have a similar keyboard at work and even though my home computer is a laptop, I haven't been taking it anywhere due to COVID so I purchased an external keyboard an monitor to set up in my office. This keyboard has a nice feel and since I am used to the split ergonomic design from using at work it was a great fit for me. It is reasonably priced but for some users this may not be a good option just because it is not wireless, there is a 3ft (1m) USB-A cable to plug it into the computer.

I work for Red Hat, so all of my computers run LINUX. This keyboard works great with LINUX. I use both Gnome and KDE and they both can utilize the macro keys. I love the ergonomics of this keyboard. I have 2 that I use daily and even bought a spare to have if one of them eventually dies.

Helps take the edge off extended typing

This keyboard helped relieve (but not eliminate) my wrist pain from typing. I would typically experience pain within about 10-15 minutes of typing on a normal keyboard, but with this one it takes more like 20-30 minutes before the wrist pain sets in. This won't cure your RSI by itself however. Breaks and rest are still very important. My only complaint is that after about a year the keycaps started becoming very shiny.

i really loved the 4000 version which this replaces. It had more programmable keys and an awesome zoom control. this cost reduced version is still excellent except it was stupid to put the delete key where the backspace was and the backspace right under delete. took me forever to get used to that change! i still hit delete when i mean to backspace

This Keyboard is one of the best that I have ever used. It helps my arms to not hurt me when I am having to do a lot of typing and also keeps the burning out of my forearms. I highly recommend this product to anybody who has problems with their forearms while they are typing on a straight keyboard.

This is o e of the best general use keyboards you can get. I use it for work for half the week and use it to write papers for the masters program i am in. It is comfortable and consistent and by far the best keyboard i have used. It may not work for every gaming application but for typing it is the best. Only downside it is expensive

How curved should a curved keyboard be?

This keyboard works, and I think it is good. For my hands however, it is a little too curved and I have a little trouble keeping my fingers on the right keys. It is just a little too large for me. I think a curved keyboard is a good idea, but this may be curved just a little too much. I do think, however, that a little practice and getting used to it may be very beneficial.

The keyboard was a great purchase. Very comfortable for my wrists and fingers during long hours of typing. Has a shim that can be removed in the front of the keyboard. I really like it. It puts the keyboard on a downward slope from a higher point at the wrists to a lower point at your fingertips. Very comfortable and natural feeling.

    Comfy to type on

This keyboard is very comfortable to use. There is an optional riser that comes with it to attach under the front end of the keyboard. It raises it up so that you can rest your hands on the padded surface comfortably while typing. This does put the keys at an "odd viewing angle," but if you're a touch typist it will be no problem.

Good keyboard, not as good as the old one

Good ergonomics, like the one it replaced, but much louder. As others have noted, they moved F6 from the right half of the keyboard over to the left which is annoying, and added an extra delete key on the upper right, which was not needed and is too close to the backspace. Function keys are now too close to the regular keys. They also added the menu key just below Z, which nobody wanted, and that makes ALT-TAB more of a stretch, and also makes it easy to hit WINDOWS-TAB instead. Finally, they took away the indicator lights for Num lock, CAPS lock, and Scroll lock. These used to be in the center section between the keys, but now they are tiny little lights on the keys themselves. The problem is, you can't see if CAPS lock is on, because it's hiding behind your left index finger, which is on the A. So, they took a pretty good product, made it louder, and made a few unnecessary layout changes. They should have left it alone, but the old one is hundreds of dollars on the used market, so we're stuck with this one.

It look a little time to get use to it but I love how the keyboard curves to your hands. The Ergonomics was carefully thought through when this keyboard was developed. It makes sense as to why you hands are somewhat angled, I find it very comfortable.
