I’ve now purchased a second machine because I thought the first one was faulty because the keyboard and mousepad did not work at all. Thought maybe when it was getting refurbished that something wasn’t connected properly. NO it turns out when they reflash the machine they wipe any and all drivers from the laptop so literally NOTHING functions! Wi-Fi won’t show anything, touchscreen doesn’t work and the entire keyboard doesn’t work except the power key. Be prepared with a USB keyboard and mouse to set up the laptop because that’s the only way you’ll get to do it. Also make sure you have another machine to download drivers onto a USB and then transfer it to your new laptop. Absolutely ridiculous when buying something refurbished. Also when you go into Best Buy geek squad won’t even look at the machine even though it states GEEK SQUAD REFURBISHED. Why buy something certified from Best Buy’s own repair center just for them to not care and make you exchange it for another one which may or may not work. I should be able to just take it to their own repair center and have them fix anything wrong with their OWN CERTIFIED GEEK SQUAD REPAIRED LAPTOP. DO BETTER BEST BUY

It’s honestly a great computer. The screen size is huge, so it’s perfect for watching movies or just needing a big screen to browse the internet. The battery life is great lasting me a couple hours before I even hit 50%. As an upcoming college student, I definitely recommend this laptop to students who will need a powerful and fast laptop.

I got this great PC at a great price; actually, I am using it to write this review right now! My PC didn't arrive in original packaging, and it was very clear that the charger had been used; however, if you can look past that go for it! The Surface does have a known over heating issue which I have run into on is laptop- so it's not perfect but that did have anything to do with it being refurbished. I use the PC for word processing and leading out on WebEx. I have played Rolblox and Stardew valley with it with little issue but I wouldn't try anything more than that. You always take a chance with a used/refurbished item but I have been pleasantly surprised.

I never thought that Microsoft would make hardware such as laptops, but I guess it's a natural outgrowth of their successful X-Box products. Now, I'm pretty much set on this product line. They start up quickly and are darn-near perfect for the average user. I'm very pleased with this laptop. I've been using the Microsoft Surface Pro 7 and ran out of room on the SSD despite offloading a lot of my documents to the micro SD card. I also needed a bigger screen for some CAD work I do. This laptop fills the bill. The 15" screen is beautiful. Despite the size of the screen, the unit itself is very light. And thin! The overall build quality is excellent. The entire laptop has a quality look and feel. And finally, the Surface line has a USB-C port. There is also the regular USB-A port and a Surface Connect port. Speaking of USB-C, you can charge the laptop via this port as well as all of the usual USB functions. A phone charger won't do it, though. You will need a USB Type-C PD charger rated at 60W or higher. What is missing from this laptop that is present in the Surface Pro 7 is the micro SD slot. While the SSD is twice as large as my old Surface Pro 7 (256 GB vs. 128 GB), eventually the disk will be filled. Being able to use the micro SD card as a second drive is very useful. On the other hand, the newer Surface products have an SSD that can be replaced, which is unusual nowadays. All in all, this is a great laptop. I'm glad I bought it and glad that I could get a price break buying it refurbished. One thing that I should mention is the packaging. Rather than all the foam and other trash-generating packing material that you usually have to deal with, my refurbished unit came in a box that had the laptop held firmly between a piece of cardboard and plastic film. I was very impressed when I opened and saw how little material was used to package this thing. I care about the environment like everybody else, but what I really liked about the packaging is that I didn't have to fill a garbage can with all the usual foam and cardboard. I don't know how it was originally packaged by Microsoft, but the refurbished unit came this way. Props to Best Buy for doing it this way.

Dead after 2 weeks. Left the charger plugged in and didn't look in on it for a few days. It is hot. presumably overheated. Did not have it where the vent would have been obstructed. It is dead. Won't turn on.
