THE PADDLES DONT FIT WHEN I PUT 2 PADDLES IN THEY TAL EACH OTHER

Got tired of buying controllers for my son so I decided to try the elite. Seems to be built much heavier duty.

Controller is great for better play and has a lot of configuration options to personalize your playstyle.

We returned this controller. It smelled like smoke and was missing pieces.

I ordered 2 of these at the same time. The two controllers I received were night and day. One looked new, which I believe was a controller that was barely used and returned. The second controller was in bad shape. It was filthy with some nasty looking brown crud all over it. It also had major wear on the body and a number of buttons weren't working correctly. I don't believe they actually refurb anything, but instead just ship out ones that were returned. I once bought a Geek Squad refurbished Apple Watch and it came in poor condition and missing parts. Like the title says, it's a mixed bag. You may end up with something in great shape, or something that looks dragged through the mud and dropped on concrete.

I received my Elite controller. box, USB cable, and all the thumbsticks, dpad, paddles etc as promised. The right Front Trigger is not moving smoothly. clearly this was returned for that reason so I don't believe this is refurbished, just repackaged. It works, it works as promised, all functions, but the trigger is defective and hangs up some. I bought the 2 year plan for just that reason. I don't believe the refurbishing process is thorough. Proceed with knowledge and caution. 2 yr replacement for $24 is worth it since my previous ones didn't last more than 1 yr. I'd only recommend with replacement plan.

Was excited to receive the item; certified refurbished and saving money. Was quickly let down as the received item was in poor condition. It was obvious that the controller had been used very heavily for a long period of time, then was somehow returned. Although conjecture, It would appear that 2-year warranty controllers are being resold as refurbished. The 'refurbishing' process did not adequately address the issues with the received controller. The unit had extensive wear in every aspect; grip wear, body chips, stick drift, buttons stick when depressed, etc.. The item did come with a new set of paddles and magnetic sticks. There were clear indicators that a liquid was spilled on the controller as residue was apparent when looking closely. Item was returned to a local BB and a new controller was purchased. In my instance, the money saved did not outweigh the controllers issues and substantially degraded my gaming experience.

Going on my third replacement. Stick drift plagues this controller, latest problem is that the bumper broke after only about 6 months. The only saving grace is that I have the extended warranty from Best Buy.

Please do yourself a favor and avoid this controller and invest in a scuf controller instead. Just research stick drift and you will glad you don’t have to deal with a controller with known issues and no support from Microsoft.

You gotta wonder what kind of "Refurbishing" they do on these controllers but it's certainly lacking. The controller came in perfect condition looking like it came right off the line but the A button registers maybe once every twenty times I press it. I tested it for several days and tried to find a solution but the switch on that button is just plain broke. I know it's Microsoft that does the Refurbishing, and it's not all Best Buy's fault, but they're the ones claiming their refurbished units are "thoroughly, painstakingly and lovingly tested", so I don't feel bad about giving this a one star review. The customer service was really great with returning the product, though, so kudos to the team at Eden Prairie.

Condition of controller was not great. Loose buttons, dirt in the cracks and pet hair stuck to it. Missing charging cord as well. The quality control process is nonexistent. Tried to exchange but that was a process within itself. Was told to go to a local BB to add geek squad replacement plan after received. I did so but apparently the store couldn’t do it. Said I had to return and reorder and have person on phone add it for me (wonder why when I called for my exchange, the person on the phone told me differently). The local stores don’t care about refurbished items and want nothing to do with it. Save yourself the trouble and just buy new. If you decide to buy refurbished, do so but get the replacement plan because something will be wrong with it in the short term

If you have the money don't waste your time with this one. Just got mailed to me today and the left joystick was completely snapped off.

I bought one of these controllers and returned it because the audio jack didn't work. The replacement's audio jack didn't work either. Additionally, the second one smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. Don't think they are even looked at before being boxed up and sold.
