    Decent for chat

Device works fine for gaming in Vista. I am currently using it with Team Speak and Ventrilo. I did *not* install the software that comes with it, but rather let Vista detect it and told it to search for a driver from the Microsoft Update site - which it found without a problem. - According to others in chat with me, the sound quality is a bit "tinny", but otherwise fine. I do use a moderately high-quality Speex Codec which prevents any additional distortion from the audio compression itself. - If you plan to use this device, be sure to test your chat server / application settings with a wired headset if you think you are getting poor sound quality from the device itself - it is probably the codec or your bandwidth. - I do also own a Plantronics USB wireless headset that has much better sound quality, but it cost me roughly 2.5x what this device did. The greatly reduced price makes it worth the drop in sound quality. - I would have given this a 2 star rating if it had been a more expensive device... but for the price, I am pleased with the purchase.

I bought this mic to use on Ventrilo for WoW. I was tired of running over my cord for my old headset. But now I miss it. This headset is always disconnecting even though the receiver is right next to me, out in the open. Sometimes I have no problems with it and then out of the blue people are extremely difficult to hear or it just doesn't work at all. I'm very disappointed in this product and wish I would've returned it right away but instead I waited to see if the problems would cease. Unfortunately the problems seems to be more frequent and worse each time.

I bought this to use with Ventrilo. The sound is very garbly and apparently I sound like I'm yelling down a long tunnel. Vista even picks the unit up as a "Xbox 360 headset," which tells me this is being rebranded and not even intended to be used on a computer. Great idea, but definitely not worth using.

I got this for speech recognition on Vista, it works fine but the only problem is I cannot increase the sensitivity and because it is so far away from my mouth I have to talk louder.
