    Ok, Not an Iphone But...

Ok, it's not an Iphone. I have used Iphones for 6 years. Had to buy an Android (won't go into why, too complicated), but I absolutely hated the Android phone. This particular phone is great with some drawbacks. Keep in mind that it's an inexpensive phone. I bought mine for $54 with NO new contract. Drawbacks include: 1) Only a 5 megapixel camera with no flash. No screen camera for selfies (I could care less. Don't like my ugly mug anyway). 2) Much more limited apps. Hopefully this will improve. It has MOST of the ones that I absolutely need, however. 3) Can't get my music from Itunes. I am learning to live with that. I can still get it on my computer at home, at work, on our ipad, our Apple TVs (3), etc. So I can work around this. It IS an absolutely delightful operating system change. I actually feel like I have a new phone for the first time in 6 years. The new Iphones were never a significant change from any previous ones, and I am sorry to hate on Androids too but they are simply modified versions of the Iphone (recall the Iphone came first Android users). This phone has done a much better job than either IOS or Android with both texts and emails - the primary reason that I need the phone. If at the end of the day you are like me and the phone is primarily for: 1) Calls 2) Texts 3) Emails, 4) GPS and 5) browsing the Web, trust me that this phone will be more than adequate. I may go to a more expensive version of a Windows phone later, but I have absolutely no need to go back to either an Android or an Iphone.

For $100 it is a great phone. I have never used a Windows Phone but it was very intuitive, easy to learn, and users can customize the screen the way you like it. I am a believer now, windows phone 8 is a great OS. I find it to be better than Android (coming from a Motorola Droid Maxx and Samsung Galaxy S3). Camera has ok quality in bright settings, it has no flash or front facing cam. Battery life is ok and the phone has a battery saver option. The phone feels cheap from its soft plastic and the phone screen is not very sharp but still good. Cortana assistance is on par or better than Siri. If you ever wanted to buy a windows phone and was not sure just give this phone or the Lumia 520 a try. The Lumia 635 has 4g lte while the 520 is only 3g. I used the phone to test carrier service in my apartment. What ever you do, do not activate a plan with Best Buy when you buy this phone, go to the att prepaid website and activate the $45 unlimited talk, text, and 1GB data prepaid plan. It is absolutely the best value for dollar and Best Buy won't acknowledge it at the store.

I love the look of the phone but it is a bit too difficult to understand and use-I never had a smart phone-I am basically a flip-phone girl and there lies the problem-the instructions are for someone who has had a smart phone before-so they assume you know what the various symbols mean and instruct you accordingly-but I have no idea what the symbols mean and can't seem to pick up the process easily.
