Good Replacement for broken Xbox 360

We purchased this refurbed xbox 360 Elite to replace my son's failing xbox 360 pro. Since we already have a 250GB HD and a wireless adapter, buying a slim wasn't our best choice. So far the refurb xbox 360 elite has performed just fine. It does however run HOT so give it room to breath. This console features the Zephyr core rather than the cooler running Falcon core. One way to find out is to check the power brick in the box. If it is 203watts, you're getting the hotter Zephyr. If its the 175watt power brick, you're getting the Falcon. Either way you have a 30 day window to return the unit to Best Buy plus a 1 year warranty from Microsoft. For $200.00 it's a good deal if you don't have a need for the slim and kinect device.

Great option, but missing a little bit...

Longtime playstation owner talked into finally getting my first xbox so I could play with certain friends. its a great deal, but just missing somethings that i have grown accustom to with my 2 ps3's...i realize that this is an older model and the new models have filled these voids, but its a pain in the rear to not have wireless capabilities directly out of the box and the need for an adapter to be able to use an optical audio cable just to use my turtle beach headset sucks...i am able to do everything i wanted with it and have plenty of space to save all my stuff and am very happy with my purchase, but hind site tells me i should have just bought the new model that comes with what should have been standard in the first place...would recommend this to anyone, but be aware what its missing and think about purchasing the newer model if possible...

I was looking at new consoles, then was shown the refurbished one. I thought it was a good deal, but then realized that it needed a wireless adapter. Also it took me some time to realize that it only has a 120 gb hard drive, not the 250 like the newer ones. I do not store anything but games and a few profiles at this time, so not that big of a deal. I added a Kinect to it, everything works great. Graphics are very good, depending on the game your playing, but if the quality is not that good, that is in the game, not the console. Overall very happy.

My refurbished XBOX 360 works like a charm and I've had no problems with it thus far. Plus, for just a little bit more (I believfe it was right around $50) I got the two year protection plan so that no matter where I am, and I move quite frequently, if my xbox breaks down I'll be able to get it fixed ASAP in store which is much more convenient than shipping it off to Microsoft.

Wish I'd known there was no built in wi-fi

Bought this same unit new about a year ago and wifi was built in. This one requires a separate adapter that you can only buy from Microsoft at a cost of $60. Not cool at all. Unit's performance is excellent. Graphics are outstanding. Functionality is reduced by absence of internet connection.

Great console for a decent price.

This appears to be a good price for an xbox 360 that has been refurbished. We will have to wait and see how long the unit holds up. I have a new 360 pro unit that I bought in Aug. of 2007 and am still playing on it today.

Spent a lot of time trying to get this hooked up. I finally called the manufacturer and was told that it had a fatal problem. Best Buy DID give a full refund and handled it well... It was just such a pain when it is supposed to be guaranteed to work.

Same exact thing as the regular Xbox, I got the 1 year warranty with it which guarantees a brand new one if anything happens.

Ive had mine goin on 3 years, no issues at all. When I bought my 1st elite I had issues within months, so this purchase is definately worthwhile.

Great replacement for a Halo 360 system even if a refurb.
