I had the wireless version of this keyboard from the Microsoft Natural Ergonimc 7000 kit and had issues with the wireless so I purchased this wired version of the keyboard instead. Same keyboard just wired and it works great!

Microsoft builds good quality accessories and this keyboard is no exception. nice ergonomic layout. less expensive then some because its wired but at least you never have to change the batteries.

I bought this because my wife uses one at work and really likes it. There are 2 disappointing things about the keyboard: 1) It only comes in a "wired" version 2) The keys are not back-lit. Coming from Microsoft I guess I expected more.

I have a split keyboard at work and wanted one at home as well. Although this is not a wireless keyboard (which I feel are overrated anyway) there was no issues with having enough cable to run behind the desk to the computer. The keys are tactile and although they do not "click" gives a good feed back

I have used very similar keyboards in the past and this was looked the same and felt the same to my hands, which was important. It stands up well to cats laying on it and is light weight and easy to move around. The only thing that would make it better would be if it wasn't wired (meaning if it were wireless), but then I would complain about having to change batteries.

In an age where everything about a computer is going wireless. Why isn't Microsoft taking advantage of going wireless. with the keyboards. The only real dislike I have for this product is the length of the cord; however that isn't something new. They make USB extension, then you have all the wire that get tangled up. When I Microsoft going to realized just because we need an agronomical keyboard it does not have to be wired any longer. I do understand the needs of a business that the keystroke could be intercepted simple answer to this is make the transmitting range 6 feet or make both models until we have no cyber security issues from wireless input devices. I would love to have a wire ergo keyboard. What about the rest of you?

I purchased this to replace an old Logitech Wave keyboard. It was on sale and a colleague has been using one for some time with no issue. My only issue which is minor is that this is a wired device and not wireless. Otherwise it is a great keyboard.

Not too many wired keyboards that have an erognomic layout. Problem with the wireless is that they intermittently have lag. My wife trades stocks and needs the speed of a wired connection. So for her it works great.

Ergonomic design is really comfortable for my hands. Labels on the keys wear off too fast. Cord is a pain. Looking to replace it with a wireless model that is backlit.

Excellent keyboard has everything I need. The calculator button at the top is a detail I never knew I needed. There is a removable attachment that can angle the keyboard from the front which is reducing the pain I've been getting in my elbow and shoulders. It has a cord which is the only drawback wish it was Bluetooth.

I bought it because it seemed comfortable for my wrists. The keyboard has a nice wide rest for my hands and wrists after typing for a long time. The wired vs. wireless functionality may not work for all, but useful for me. It does take up quite a bit of desktop space. Good overall.

I bought this wired keyboard for a desktop PC connected to a TV monitor. The USB wire is approx 8 ft long. Unlike others, this keyboard is truly ergonomic because there is a pronounced "wave" shape, which allows you to keep your wrists at more comfortable angles (thumbs higher than your pinkies). Other "ergonomic" keyboards have the keyboard split and shifted at an angle, but the keyboard itself is flat. The only wireless keyboards that were as wavy as this are over $100; out of my price range. Note: I do not sit at a desk with this keyboard, I sit in an armchair with this keyboard on my lap or one of the armrests. ALL of my work involves typing, so I need to be comfortable. The keys and the amount of pressure needed feel good. The space bar clicks a bit loudly, though, so it might be annoying for your office mates (! @@@@@@@ Pros: 1) great value for the price 2) truly ergonomic; the most comfortable keyboard I have used. 3) simple, professional layout. It does NOT look like a gamer's keyboard. Cons: 1) it IS wired. I do not require any mobility, and do not plan on using this keyboard with more than one computer, so this is NOT an issue, but a fact to consider. 2) the keys are spaced a bit too far apart for me, but I have small hands.

All the wireless ergonomic keyboards now marketed by Microsoft have remote 10-key pads. I prefer my 10-key pad to be firmly attached to the keyboard. So I settled for this wired one. Works fine. Just one more messy cord on my desktop. Sad.

It's responsive and comfortable. It took me a few hours to get accustomed to the ergonomic design but now I've no problems using it. It's helping me avoid the tiredness and stiffness I was getting in my hands and wrists with the standard keyboard. I chose a wired keyboard and mouse because I get tired of replacing batteries every 2-3 weeks in USB wireless units. I've been typing for well over 50 years, beginning with manual typewriters and progressing through to electrics and computer keyboards. This is probably the most comfortable of all of them.

    Good Keyboard - Limited Documentation

This is a large wired keyboard (and heavy). It takes up a lot of desk space so if your desk space is limited, this may not be the keyboard for you. Tactile feel of the keys is excellent (as with other Microsoft keyboards I have owned). Design does take some getting used to even compared to the older Microsoft Ergonomic keyboard I replaced with this one. This highlights the one negative I have with this keyboard. There is no hard copy documentation and on-line downloadable documentation is scant at best. So, figuring out keyboard features and options is trial and error (unfortunately) which is why I downgraded it to four stars. I'll probably be even happier with it once I figure out all its features Still, it is a very nice keyboard and at Best Buy's current price, an absolute steal.

I love and use this keyboard every day. We have a ton of these in the office for people with ergo issues. The lower price, extra buttons, and better key feel make this a no brainer when choosing between this and the wireless version Microsoft offers. However, after extended use, the letters do eventually wear off, and the wrist pad eventually wear down. Another thing to consider is that they don't hold up very well if the cords are moved around a bunch. One person in our office killed 2 in a few months before we realized the keyboard tray arm they were using was putting too much stress on the wire which causes certain keys to stop working. I do prefer the layout and optional stand of the 4000 to the Logitech wave "ergo" versions, even though those tend to last longer. The option to create macros/favorite buttons with the free MS software comes in handy.
