Not what you think it is

There is NOTHING about the marketing of this product that indicates it's a *completely* web-based product. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with cloud-based applications. I'm a software application architect and my team is putting the finishing touches on a multi-formfactor, SOA application that's using two separate clouds, one of which my team created. A cloud-enabled version of Office is something I totally get. If Office 365 had a desktop component that allowed you to store files locally, or on the Microsoft cloud, this would have been exactly the app I wanted. A completely WEB-based version of Office makes no sense to me what-so-ever. If you think I'm a neanderthal about this, consider: 1) I have a very long house and I can't get my WiFi in all parts of my house. I've tried all manner of range extenders with no luck. So there are significant places in my house that I can't get to my WiFi... like my living room... and my bedroom. 2) I work as a contractor to a Fortune 10 technology company. Being a contractor, I can't get access to their WiFi with my private computers or phone 3) I just came back from a great European river cruise vacation. The boat had every conceivable convenience including WiFi... but the WiFi sucked. I never, never, never got it to work with my phone or laptop. That's three major places where I could have used a cloud-based version of Office... IF I could store files locally until I could get decent WiFi access. But since Office 365 is completely web-based, if I can't get WiFi, I can't use Office 365. Microsoft & Best Buy... I want my money back.

This product Is like 4 years of 2013 pro plus with the perks easy to install no interruptions on usage when not connected to the internet. the best one for home users. Do the $99.99 a year plan it saves you about $20 a year in the long run (that is good in the current economy). I give this product and A++ in support and user interface. My favorite background is the "Underwater" theme. Not as good using a touch screen unless if you have a surface pro with a pen. Fast install, theme search box helps get the job done. Great with windows 8. please see the other products I recommend please note that the Kaspersky includes mac protection see my review for more info.

I had difficulty getting the product to download, so I called Best Buy. The first phone call I was transferred three times and after 45 minutes of trying to get help I a gave up. Second phone call to Best Buy I was hung up on. Third and final phone call to Best Buy I was told sorry, they couldn't help me, but if I'd like to pay $49.95 they could install product for me! NO, thanks. They told me to call Microsoft. So I did!! In three minutes Microsoft helped get the product downloaded. If you have problems downloading this don't waste your time with Best Buy!

Bought it for my sons school work. I find myself using it more and more for my small business needs. The biggest downside is purchasing it every year, big thumbs down Microsoft.
