I needed to replace the Kaspersky product that was expiring and I decided to get the combo package or Webroot Internet Security, Microsoft Office 365 and the Wireless Microsoft mouse. You really save a ton of money by going with the combo package. I am a member of Geek Squad so I had one of the techs install all of this except the mouse for me. I was thrilled that the tech also set up a Microsoft account using my email and password so I can now enjoy earning points for things in the Microsoft store. I really enjoy having the word processor once again. I had a form of it, not just as involved with Windows 7 and it stayed in the computer when I upgraded to Windows 10 but unfortunately when hard-drives fail, you lose more than you want. But really nice to be able to do word processing, grammar and punctuation checking and all that other stuff that you once took for granted until it was gone. The mouse is really great too and love the storage for the transmitter inside the battery compartment. The internet security package works in the background and you only know it is hard at work when something needs to be taken care of. In the first five days, it took care of two threats. Out of the three internet security software packages I have used in the past 16 years, I believe Webroot is my favorite.

Always up to date Office online concept is great

The windows 365 online concept is great but the wide array of options and learning curves are horrendous. For example, I don't want email headers sent to sidebar notifications on my home screen and can't figure out how to turn that feature off. I do want the few update notifications I was getting but have to turn that feature off to stop the 30 daily email notifications. I want to be notified of important stuff to me, but not about important stuff to MSN. Is Office 365 storing my word documents online, or not, it never says? I thought my old browser favorites were being stored online on the MSN server but they weren't, and now have been lost forever. Apparently my online sync box was not checked. I didn't know. Google did save my browser format and favorites on their server. . Many other options are annoying default choices that I don't want. How they got started I don't know and how to turn them off I also don't know. All formatting should be one central program and it should have a detailed setup wizard, possibly one wizard for each different program like outlook, word, and excel. I went from mastering windows 7 options to being totally confused by the wide array of windows 10 options. I will eventually like all the features and options, but so far Microsoft has been wasting much of my personal time with trying to figure out how to set up, use, and turn on or off the features I do and don't want to use.

Use the software every day. from 2010-2014 I did not really use computers. I mostly used mobile devices. But last I tried to purchase Microsoft office, my memories are of a $200-300 price point....I could just be getting old..... anyway, to get full access to this many applications as well as cloud storage and mobile access? Awesome. The Home upgrade over Personal is well worth the cost. I use this on Mac as well as Windows and Mobile. Mac versions continue to be updated and perform well, however they seem to eat up a lot of RAM. My only complaint is that I had a complimentary Personal subscription from a Surface 3 purchase and I did not upgrade that account to Home, I had to purchase a separate Home subscription. There was a Q/A thread on this topic however when I attempted to check out on the Microsoft web page, the cart/checkout process made it seem like the 9 months of Personal subscription left were going to be forfeited and that day-of purchase would be the full Home price. Nobody could confirm that once I pressed "purchase" I would any credit or grace period for the 9 months of Personal remaining so I just had to give the business to Best Buy who had a sweet deal.

I would stay as far away form this product as possible. Every time you have to re-load it, as in when a hard drive is changed, or if you add a new licensee, you get hung up---and have to call MS in India. Their troubleshooters are well-meaning, nice, and proper---but you shouldn't have to call in every time you use this product. You also shouldn't be told by them that it's not working because you have too many licnesees on it--when you don't; b. They don't even KNOW how many licensees you have until you force them to look it up c. There are a million jabberwocky nonsense reasons given why the code, etc. doesn't work each time you have to use it. You waste and lose so much valuable time and energy having to re-call them to re-install this that it defeats the the whole purpose of using a pre-paid, expensive, enduring online program.

Been using Office for years, good stuff! But, I bought an annual subscription at Best Buy on 3/8/16 when I bought a new laptop, and registered Office on 3/12/16 with Microsoft showing expiration on 3/12/2018. However, when I went to renew it on 3/9/17, the Microsoft site directed me to renew through Best Buy again, but the page I went to said 'Service is no longer available'! I found out that Best Buy considers your subscription as starting when you buy the item and walk out the door; NOT when you actually register and start using it. So I was shorted 4 days. So I called Microsoft support directly and they were surprised as it show the 12th with them. So they gladly let me renew through them instead with the next renewal on 3/12/2018, like it should have. BE AWARE SUBSCRIPTIONS START ON DATE OF PURCHASE, NOT REGISTRATION. You may want to buy it on the Microsoft site instead unless installing right away or you don't mind the days lost.

I decided to try the 365 when I had to buy a new laptop. The Microsoft 10 upgrade started on it's own and ruined my 4 year old laptop. So instead of going back to Office 2010, I tried this. One of the appealing factors is that I personally use several laptops in my business including my big workhorse laptop that I leave at the office, my 360 laptop I use for travel, on job sites, etc. However, I was spending way too much time trying to keep the same files on all thru flashdrives, dropbox, etc.. The 365 with one drive has absolutely solved my problem. So no matter whatever laptop I'm on, I simply save that file to one drive and it is automatically available on all of my laptops no matter where they are. While I also make physical backups, it is comforting to know that if one of my laptops crashes, etc. that my files are always there on one of my other laptops. Office 365 features Office 2016 and it has been interesting catching up on all of the changes since Office 2010.

The software package includes all the basic Office software that I need. The software updates and runs smoothly. It would be nice If it came with a Web editing program for websites. On my new Dell Laptop I had problems with separating the Office programs that came with it. I had some problems with importing Office 2007 version files. It locked up and crashed One Note several times. The software checked and corrected the issue's and I was able to open them in One Note 2016. After moving the files around in Windows 10 I was able to get them to Windows cloud. They updated from my laptop to the cloud after some time. The files where 4.8 gig collections of Word, One Note, Excel, and pictures. When I went to access them on the cloud they seemed to be in a very simple graphic and it seemed slow to navigate. I am still working on checking to see if the One Note files update to the cloud as I make changes. I am getting some errors about sinking up.

Office 365 - subscription model may not be for U

Beware that this is a subscription version of Microsoft Office application and is good for one year, thus the name "365". There are Pros and Cons with this model. On the positive side, you'll get free support and the latest updates without extra cost. However, on the down side, the application will cease to work, including all the documents and spreadsheets that you've created during the year once the subscription expires. In essence, your spreadsheets and documents are held hostage until payment is made. Automatic renewals is possible. However, this ensures a permanent stream of payments to Microsoft, making this very costly over time. Since it works off of their exchange cloud servers, you'll need an Internet connection to update and store all your files. With all your files in Microsoft's possession, it would be another trap to keep you paying. Great applications, but just be aware that you are buying a subscription version.

Office 365 is the worse office program yet! When trying to open up a saved document into a blank screen you must click on three different links JUST to get to where you saved the document you want. Then you have to click on the document. Trying to find out where you can do grid line for an excel spreed sheet is no longer on the tabs but when you go to print it out under preferences. Trying to set up a paragraph, after you ahve bullets to line up to the left margin is horrifying and so confusing; this program is not user friendly, well maybe to the techno-savvy elites who are experts in programs but not for the not so techno-savvy people. Getting to download pictures from a cell phone or iPad is almost next to impossible as it says there are no pictures to down load when you have over 2k on the phone... really? For a person who is NOT savvy on computers this program is SURE ASinine!

I am a novice at computers even though I have been using them since 1991. This iprogram is more confusing to use than any other previous used. Word, Excel, etc. click once to open if on the taskbar or if you save it to your desktop, click twice. OK, removed from desktop, taskbar is faster. Open word, where is the pop up blank page? Nope, no longer available. Now, you have umpteen pic's to choose from and you ONLY WANT A BLANK PAGE. REALLY?! Click on the blank page; next, you want to open your saved document. WHERE DO YOU GET IT? HOW? To get to a saved document in MS WORD... You have to click on so many screens to get where you want to go. You work for 15 minutes to try to find the document you want. OH, forgot to read the imaginary pop up window telling you... "go get our kid to help you figure this program out". Overall, this new program IS NOT USER FRIENDLY FOR NOVICES!!!!

Beware, Subscription Model = Ransom Ware

Beware before purchasing this version of Microsoft Office that it is right for you. Microsoft, learning from Adobe, is moving to a subscription model. The benefit is that you will get free updates during the active subscription period. Once the term ends and if you failed to pay to renew, all applications as well as the documents and spreadsheets that you've created will cease to work. In essence, it is a ransom ware. Your work is held hostage until you pay up. Also, since it is working off of their cloud base servers, it is slower than if you had the software residing on your hard drive. Needless to say, you'll need an internet connection to work on and update your files. Don't buy this version unless for some reason having the latest.updates is important to you. Otherwise pay a bit more and buy the standalone version.

Latest and Best Versions of Office Programs

Purchasing Office 365 was new experience for me. I am 66 years old and have been using Windows and the Microsoft office suite since Windows 3.1 I am used to purchasing a license to "own" the software until it becomes obsolete. I have probably spent $1500 over the last 25 years to own Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. At the end of the software's useful life, I am struggling to avoid purchasing the next version. With Office 365 I have the latest version of the software at all times. I also have 1TB of cloud storage that would cost the equivalent price at other storage mediums. So I am getting the best of all worlds with Office 365. The best protection against obsolescence, the best security currently available, More storage than I will use for a long time and piece of mind. JRE

This is well worth the price since it can be used on upto 5 devices. Both my stepdaughters were heading off to college and needed all these programs, I didn't need them particularly, but after doing the math it was cheaper to buy this bundle package for both the girls, and then also be able to use it myself than it was to buy 2 separate ones for each kid. Was a no brainer to buy this. Have renewed each year bc this 5 device package is cheaper than buying 2 individual ones, so the two that have to have it are covered, then have 3 more access codes so I'm covered even though not really needed then have given access to my parents.

Unfortunately, there was a problem with the Office 365 package. When I tried to install it, it accepted the product key, but couldn't complete the install. I had to call an 844 number, where an East Indian speaking woman tried to get me to pay 299.95 to have them remove a bunch of viruses and Trojan programs off my "Brand New" computer. When I said I didn't have that kind of money and I thought this was a scam, she reduced the amount to 199.95 and tried hard to get me to give her my financial information. I told her no and hung up and called the Geek Squad, who was relieved to hear I had not fallen for this scam and got the program installed. He said he had heard of this happening a couple other times, too, so please be aware - don't fall for this scam!!!!

The product has been very reliable and meets all our family needs for a multi-use home computer application. The product is used for continuing education efforts, technical and professional training, work related tasks, and general family usage. Overall, it is an improved version of the MS Office product set that I have used privately and professionally for years. I do not like some of the product feature orientation changes that are a departure from the more traditionally expected feature locations. However, the overall product performance has improved. I am new to the Microsoft leasing approach, but it has not been a bad experience so far.

Got convinced to get one year bundle supscrition with laptop for daughter with mouse bundle instead of buying full license product they said I could return it if I changed my mind. Wasn't sure if she needed it because I thought I still had one more license on an older version. I never openned it went out of town came back a month and 2 days had passed and Microsoft wanted to charge me to return unopened product not out of the ordinary so I thought i.e. Restocking fee. But then they would take product back without giving a refund or store credit because it was over a month, so I'm forced to use the one year and I'm sure in a year they will so kindly offer me another subscription for another fee

Great deal... I have Office 2016 installed now and the updates are nice. It's nice that this is an annual subscription deal with free upgrades to all the newest versions so you don't have to pay several hundred dollars for software that becomes obsolete a year or two later. My only complaint is having to log into a Microsoft account to use it and then they send you emails every day. Good gracious like I don't have anything else to do but declutter my inbox from that unnecessary nonsense! If you have any kind of a life, make sure you go to your account settings and "opt out" of email notifications as soon as you download this. Otherwise, it's a good deal! I had no problems with the download and like the 2016 upgrades.

My Microsoft Office subscription expired, so in the meantime I installed some free office programs. They worked adequately but lacked some of the features that I use most often in my work. I ordered the Microsoft Office from Best Buy and received it on the day they said it would be delivered; however, the product key card's scratch area would not come off some of the numbers. I spent 4 hours with Microsoft Tech (who was very courteous) to finally get a new product key over the phone. I love all the features of the Microsoft Office but it's a little aggravating to spend $100 and receive such a poorly designed key card.

We're still getting used to a subscription based app. The idea is ok, but Microsoft's implementation isn't that great. Be advised that you have to create a new Microsoft user account for every subscription you get. This means just that many more useless accounts and passwords to remember. Also, even though I thought I was adding 5 subscriptions after I processed the card it just added a year to my existing subscriptions, which wasn't what I was intending to do...unfortunately, there was no notice "please confirm you want to extend your existing subscriptions". I'm going to recommend this, but, only because it's office - and what other choice does one have?

Office 365 - just about indispensable for working with all the Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access). Alleged "compatible" products always seem to be missing that key feature you need, or the "compatibility" doesn't quite work. Plus, OneDrive makes it easy to save files so you can get to them from anywhere and from most devices (Android phones, iPads, etc). Yes, it "sucks" to have to renew the annual subscription (you can wait until you find Office on sale somewhere, however). But having the latest version is nice. Looking forward to Office 2019 (which I'll have access to with Office 365).
