I just downloaded the Office 2011 suite yesterday evening. The site referenced that I would receive an email with the product key. IGNORE that message as there is no email containing the product key. It's sad that none of the reps via the tech support line knew this but the product key is actually listed as 'code' once you log onto the Digital Library site and click on the order (once made available for download). As usual, I love Office products...nothing new here unless you're unfamiliar with Office. If you're looking for customization or non-bloatware typically avoided through Mac/Apple products then you shouldn't download its greatest competitor's software to begin with. It is what it is. The speedy addition of my email accounts to Outlook was very simplistic, my existing excel spreadsheets for budgeting generate without issue, and my existing word docs are easily modifiable. I didn't expect to be wowed but this software functions as expected.

Best Buy Downloads are a Scam!

This isn't really a review on the product itself, I have this product on my work computer and it is great! The review is on Best Buy... Don't EVER do their digital download option, pay the extra to actually get the physical discs. I downloaded the Micrsoft Office Home & Business for MAC, when I got my email saying my download was ready, I logged in and what was provided to me was for a PC! I was on the phone with them over an hour for them to basically tell me all they can do is refund me and then repurchase the file. Well if the first time I received the wrong file, why do they think I am going to try it again?!? This is the second time in one month that I have had issues when purchasing through Best Buy when it should just be an easy task, they can't even handle it!

Wow... I am running a Mac Mini for my personal use in the house and thought it would be cool to have the option to use some Microsoft tools. VERY BAD IDEA!!! First you have to jump though a bunch of online hoops and establish an MS account, then it wants to load multiple auto-download programs, etc. THEN, it introduces all the junk that you buy a Mac to get away from... Five minutes after installation it was asking for multiple updates, issuing alerts, warnings, etc. Would not uninstall from the dock... just another sign of what absolute garbage software Microsoft "creates". *** If you just need to use Office at home for some reason, just buy a $300 PC laptop. Much better option than screwing up your Mac.***

The actual product is just fine. You'll need to know the following information about the actual download: 1. I downloaded Microsoft Office Home and Business MAC. On the Digital Library page, it SAID PC. I called them to make sure I did, in fact download Office for Mac, and I did... It just was not clear on the downloading page. In the confirmation email, it also said Mac. Be aware that is unclear. 2. I had to CALL Geek Squad for the PRODUCT KEY. It was not listed or emailed anywhere. After several tries of actually hearing their letter and number abbreviations correctly, they were able to give it to me over the phone and I got it to work. I do recommend just buying it in the store unless you are pressed for time. That was 2 too many phone calls for basic software.
