So much more convenient than having to buy AA batteries all the time. You do have to remember to charge it but it lasts longer than regular batteries in my experience. Overall a great addition to the Xbox controller.

I love how fast it charges my controller. Never need to take a break

After more than a decade of faithful service, my original Xbox rechargeable battery finally reached the end of its life. I decided to replace it with the latest Microsoft Rechargeable Battery + USB-C Cable, and I’m glad I did. The new version charges fully in under 4 hours and works seamlessly with my Xbox Series X controller. The included 9-foot USB-C cable is long enough to keep playing while charging, and the connection feels solid. Battery life is excellent — I can game for hours without worrying about swapping batteries or losing power mid-session. It’s a simple, reliable upgrade that eliminates the hassle of disposable AAs and keeps my setup clean. If your old battery pack has finally given up (mine lasted over 10 years!), this is the perfect replacement to keep you gaming without interruptions.

This is a must-have, especially for long gaming sessions. It holds a good charge and lasts a long time - noticeably longer than AA batteries. It has saved me the comparable cost in batteries many many times over, and I'm not tossing hundreds of batteries into a landfill. The cord is nice and long, so when the battery gets low, just plug it in and keep playing while it charges. I wish it had a charging indicator light on the plug, like the Xbox One version did. The only way to know if it's fully charged is to check the status in the Xbox dashboard. This one is still going over a year later, and I'm fairly confident I will get many more years out of it because the version I bought for the Xbox One years ago still charges great and holds its charge. That being said, there is one minor (or maybe major depending on your perspective) thing that I've experienced with both this battery and the Xbox One rechargeable battery. I'm not sure if it's an oddity of the battery design or of Xbox controllers, but the fix that worked (and is still working years later) for the Xbox One battery also worked for this one... The battery suddenly stopped charging; placing a tiny piece of foam strip or thin cardboard (just a few mm) behind the battery got it charging perfectly again. Putting in the battery gently and charging without the cover on also worked. Allowing the ports to better align with the pins, helps. It is unclear as to why this would even be necessary, if it was designed properly, but it's worth a try before throwing it against a wall in frustration.

Got this for my son's Xbox controller and it works perfectly. Recommend for all Xbox users. Long lasting and don't need to keep buying batteries. It's well worth it

I don't have an Xbox One, but I like using the controller on a lot of games on my PC due to how well it meshes with Windows. I've had the experience of battery management for the decade lifespan of my 360, and it is probably the main inconvenience that keeps me from playing it more often. This product has nullified the main peeve I've had with game pads and wireless peripherals. As for the concept, an additional $25 for rechargeability and a nice cord does seem a bit suspect in addition to the $50 controller it's for. However, since batteries are the things that degrade fastest in products such as these, I actually like being able to swap it out if I ever have a problem. Unlike for a dualshock for example where I would just have a dead controller that cost me a day's pay. but to each their own. The ease of use on this battery pack is great. I just popped it in and have basically forgotten about it. I have never given thought to charging this thing. The thing lasts for blood-clottingly long play sessions without a sweat. The cord it comes with is high quality feeling and long; and since when connected via usb-c the xbox one controller works PERFECTLY with the countless games I've tried so far, just popping it into any computer stupidly convenient. It just works perfectly. No fuss. Just a jump in quality of life and convenience you'll appreciate once you experience it. I genuinely think it is worth the price,

This is a must if you like Gaming a lot! Easy to install! Battery last pretty good while haven’t timed yet. The best tip for when you are done playing is leave you control charging while you are not gaming and it will be ready for action next time you come and play!

A great Xbox controller battery to put in your controller last up for long time

Works great at keeping my controller on and powered. and never runs out of battery so long as it is charged and it charges quickly with its own charge and the cord is long enough where distance isn't an issue great overall.

This rechargeable battery does what is says it does. If you are gaming 4-5 hours a day expect to charge this battery every few days or so. For me it doesn't last particularly long but at least it will charge while playing. Though it has a long charging cable you will most likely need an extension to reach your seat of choice which I can confirm does work. I have only had it a few months so I cannot say if the battery cells will die after time. So far so good. I would recommend this product over traditional AA batteries which do not last as long as this product does.

Must have for anyone with a console also works with my old Xbox one controllers. These things will rapidly pay for themselves and while you can plug them into the console I use my 10 ft cable by the couch. A full charge is running about 20 hours worth of play time but if you forget to plug in at night you can charge while playing. Highly recommended.

This is a must have for an Xbox controller. Instead of buying new batteries every few months (more or less depending on usage) this one-time purchase of this rechargeable battery pack will save you time and money.

The Xbox Battery Play and Charge Kit for Xbox Series is awesome! It means a rechargable battery and USB C cable! I really enjoy not using disposable batteries and instead a long lasting battery pack. I have been using the official Microsoft Xbox Battery pack since Xbox 360. I will never go back! Definitely recommend! :D
