Since my surface pro 3 only had one USB port I didn't want to get a mouse that needed a dongle so I went looking for a Bluetooth one. I came across this one a figured I would give it a try. The price was great, out synched to my surface pro easily and I like the fact that it has a dedicated Microsoft button. It works very well but I do have an issue once in a while where my surface pro won't pick up my mouse. I have to restart the surface pro and it will start working. I'm not sure if it's the mouse or the surface pro but other than that it works really well.

Extremely comfortable - I spend hours on my laptop, and the comfortable ergonomic design makes long hours working Excel, Photoshop, and ArcGIS as comfortable as can be. The Bluetooth is invaluable - frees up the USB ports for my external HD and other components.

I bought this to be used with the Windows Surface since there is only one USB port and I wanted it available for other devices but still want to use a mouse instead of the touchpad. The Bluetooth feature is nice since I do not need to worry about needing or losing an adapter but there are times when the mouse stops working as I am using it. Since I have my touchpad inactive when it detects my mouse the touchpad is no use when the mouse decides to deactivate. I have tried reconnecting using the Bluetooth button at the bottom of the mouse but that hasn't worked. The only way I get things to work again is to reboot the Surface. That is my only frustration with this device.

Ergonomic, reliable bluetooth mouse for mac

I bought this bluetooth mouse because my previous arc mouse required a usb dongle and was not compatible with my new macbook that only had usb-c ports. I also find the mac touch mouse not very comfortable (not to mention expensive). I had great experiences with sculpt mice before on my windows desktops. I bought this not sure if it would be reliable on OS X, but it has worked very well and has not dropped connection. Highly recommend.

I have too much 2.4ghz going on in my living room that the only mice that ever seem to work are bluetooth. I was able to get this mouse at a good price (open box) and it works great. I have it about way from my computer and have had no issues. 5 out of 5.

When it's working it does fine once you get used to the 'swipe' instead of the button to go to last page. I don't know if it is a Dell problem (new laptop this year with the latest drivers) or a MS problem but the mouse does lose signal every so often. No pattern, but if I push the button to reconnect Bluetooth it comes back. Not a deal killer for me, but could become very annoying with more serious use. Its best features are it does not use one of the USB ports, and is not one of the real small ones that cramp my hand.

This mouse works well with a PC or Mac OS. It has many features, some that I didn't even realize. The windows button on the side will open your start menu, or in windows 8/8.1 will take you to the tile screen. The clicking action is pretty quiet which is important in school/library settings. It has a good weight to it and doesn't feel flimsy at all. The scroll is up/down, push and side-to-side. There is also some sort of swipe function on the side with the windows button -- I haven't totally figured out what that does, but I know its there! A good buy, only qualm might be the size as its not super travel friendly.

My favorite mouse to use with MacBook pro

It might be odd to see why a MacBook Pro user would choose a Microsoft mouse over apple and Logitech mouses. Simple, it is very comfortable in hands, easy to carry around, tracks amazing in almost all surfaces, and battery lasts long. Only downfall? Without some skills, you cannot really use blue button and can only set to expose. Even with that alone this mouse is a winner and if you have skill to manipulate, this will work even better and still deserves five star

Feels great and like the convenience of not having a separate dongle. Occasionally disconnects. Turning off power save mode for Bluetooth helps with this.

I bought this mouse to use in addition with my laptop sometimes. It is great. I love the fact that it is bluetooth enabled. I wondered if it worked with Windows 10, but it works perfectly fine. I have become used to using a laptop pad. However, there are some things that using a mouse would provide much better accuracy. This mouse does not disappoint. The way it is built is comfortable as well.

This mouse is not loaded with a ton of buttons, but I never used the extras on my other mice. It is very responsive and I have had no problems using it for gaming (ESO). I especially like that there is no dongle, because it connects via Bluetooth. Great buy at a very affordable price.

With only 1 USB port available on Windows Surface Pro 4, it is very important to get a Bluetooth Mouse and as I need to use the only port for other items, this mouse is a perfect fit for the need. At the same time, the windows button on the mouse allow direct activation of the start menu is a huge improvement for the productivity without the need to move the cursor across the screen. The only reason i didn't rate it perfect is because i think there could be a better design to fit the hand to make the mouse more comfortable.

I purchased this mouse as it was BT and needed no receiver plugged into the computer. The 'computer' is actually an off brand Windows tablet that I'm going to use for radio control. It's limited to 1 USB3 port, and I need that port for a cable that runs to the radio. The ability to link and unlink the mouse and a BT keyboard that I bought for this project is almost invaluable. So far, the mouse has performed reliably.

I love this mouse, it connects almost instantly every time I turn it on. I have no problems with it not waking up after its sat for a while not being used. You just have to move it around and give it a second or two and it comes right back to life. The only down side is if you have a rather large hand like me, because of that I tend to hit the little blue windows button. And by hit I mean rub it, you can rub it forward or backward and it will go between windows you have open accordingly. And that is a cool feature to be able to go between programs like that with a mouse in windows 8. My friends have other blue tooth mice and after letting them try mine they like mine the best.

    Wonderful Wireless Mouse

The most important point is that having a Bluetooth connection frees up one of the precious USB ports on a laptop and you don't have to worry about losing a USB dongle. The battery life is over 9 months with light usage and they are the very common AA batteries that can be found everywhere. The comfort sculpt shape means you can tell the back from the front of the mouse even in the dark. Great product!

I've been using the Microsoft Sculpt Wireless mice for many years now with my Windows computers. My first one was accidentally dropped thousands of times on a hardwood floor before it stopped working - but it still lasted for years. Since I often forget to turn off the mouse switch, I started using rechargeable batteries - and cut down my buying new ones considerably. The rechargeable AA batteries last for many years, and work well in the Sculpt mouse before it starts flashing its red LED to show they are weak and need recharging. Changing batteries in the Sculpt mouse is also very simple after pressing the cover button just above the service LED (flashing green shows the mouse is connecting or ready to connect after pressing the connection button on the mouse underside). I'm still using some rechargeable batteries that are well over 10 years old - that were used in my first Sculpt mouse. I particularly like the Sculpt mouse works over a large variety of surfaces. I commonly use mine from across a room 15-20 feet from a computer - while I sit in a recliner. The mouse works almost as well moving it across my clothing, as it does moving across a desk surface. That optical feature is what sold me originally on this mouse. The only caveat is I sometimes have to clear clothing lint from the optical reader port - which is not difficult at all. I have Logitech Wireless Solar combo keyboards on some of my computers and like they charge themselves without a wired connection, but the mouse that comes with them is very finicky about what kind of surface it moves over. Many surfaces cause it to be erratic in behavior or just not to work. The RF frequency of the Logitech mice can also suffer from RF interference over short distances away from the connected computer. The Bluetooth Sculpt mice never suffer such communication problems until they are beyond 25-30 feet from the computer. The Sculpt mouse never fails to please me with its performance. This latest one replaces the mouse that came in a new Logitech Solar Keyboard/Mouse Combo. Using this combination, I have almost as much comfort and pleasure as I have using the now very old Logitech Bluetooth DiNovo Wireless keyboards I have at two of my other computers. The Logitech Solar keyboards just don't have quite the connection range of the Bluetooth DiNovo - which also have an integral mouse pad on their keyboard. This is now my third Sculpt mouse. My second Sculpt mouse replaced the broken one I dropped so many times - dosing off to sleep with it. After over a decade, that second one still works great. As far as handheld mice go, the Microsoft Sculpt leads the pack. Note: I recently paid more for a new ASUS 5.0 USB Bluetooth adapter than this Microsoft Sculpt Mouse cost me.
