This is a great ergonomic keyboard. I like that the number pad is separate. The keyboard and number pad both fit on my keyboard try nicely. Note, it does take some getting used to. Be patient!

It took a little getting use to but wanted to try something new. This keyboard contours naturally to the angle of our wrist when using a keyboard to avoid carpal tunnel syndrome. I purchased two of these for the two different workstations that I have for my job and for my private business ventures.

I've tried other ergonomic keyboards in the past and always had a very difficult time adjusting to them. I found that I had a lot of misspellings, but this one was very easy to get used to. I don't know why this one was any different, but it was very easy to adapt to the layout of the keyboard. I also really like that the number pad is separate and can be moved around as needed. It works great when you need it. And finally, I really like the design of the mouse too. It allows me to rest my wrist on the desk and still use the mouse perfectly. It may look a little odd, but it works great and I'm completely happy with this set.

Awesome keyboard ! I think I got it at work once and it changed my life I literally bought one for home when I switched jobs because I couldn’t live without it. I even gave up my apple devices just because this keyboard re-en stated my love for products that are not owned by apple

I have had and used this keyboard for about a month now in my job as a computer engineer. I really like it and find it a definite improvement over the wireless bluetooth Mac keyboard I used previously. While not a perfect fit for the Mac, it is a close enough analogue that this is now my "daily driver" and I really appreciate how "easier" on the wrists it is. I was able to remap most of the relevant keys using the Mac keyboard utility without the need for third party software. The learning curve was not too steep, however, the placement of the angle of the "r" key means I often miss this letter do to the way that I position my hands on the keyboard. This is a loss of one star for this angle issue and the fact that it lacks native Mac compatibility. This keyboard is definitely designed for the class touch typist and the "hunt and peck" kind will not find it very useable. Again, the learning curve is not large, the health benefits are significant, so take the time to let this keyboard help you learn to type properly and you will never regret it. Battery life has been good. The mouse is only a right handed mouse (and "I have news for you--I am not right handed!), so it has been of limited use for me. The wireless number pad has not been used or evaluated by me. One strong word of caution. Each dongle is paired specifically with the keyboard permanently (according to Microsoft), so if you lose it or wish to have one for travel--that is NOT AN OPTION. This may be a deal breaker for some--it almost was for me. This is the loss of the second star. Overall, this is an excellent keyboard the drops to average for a Mac user because of design issues. It is a 4 star keyboard for the PC users. I would buy it again. I think it is a good purchase.

I couldn't ask for a better keyboard. Its shape truly is ergonomic and makes it comfortable to work for long horus without tiring out my hands. The keyboard is also accurate and the keys have the right amount of bounce

Good price for a high quality keyboard. Being able to separate number pad really makes my wrist motions less dramatic to reach the mouse. Only two complaints are: the left-click on the mouse gets lodged sometimes; and the soft wrist rest which is otherwise really nice does stain easily e.g. from oil from skin.

I searched for a while for an ergonomic keyboard that I could spend hours a day on and not get cramps in my hands or feel fatigued. I chose this one because of its shape, layout, and the fact that it is unique. The detached keypad has been convenient because I can move it around my desk as needed. I have had this for about 6 months and it still works great. Only drawback is that the mouse is a little bulky. Though designed for Windows 8, it still works just fine on Windows 7.

Solid keyboard from Microsoft. It takes some time and effort to get acquainted with the shape of the keyboard and mouse. When you finally get the feel for it, it feels great and ergonomically superior to other keyboards and mice I’ve owned, including Apple’s magic branded peripherals

I spend a lot of time using the PC, do a lot of mouse clicking some days. Spending the money on this keyboard/mouse set was worth it. I was starting to have RSI issues in my right wrist, with the use of this set I seem to have mitigated most of the damage on an ongoing basis. My wrist certainly acts up when I'm on a different PC & not using this set! It takes a while to get used to the split and I still haven't got the hang of where the backspace & arrow keys are but I'm sticking with it. The detached 10 key pad is quite useful as well.

I have used ergonomic keyboards for probably 20 years. I always used the wired Microsoft one. It was great. Recently my wired keyboard died. So I was looking to get a new one. This one came up and I decided to upgrade and get a wireless. I absolutely love this keyboard. I work from home and sometimes have to take my laptop and keyboard with me to work in other locations. This keyboard, number pad and mouse fit nicely in the my laptop bag. My old keyboard was huge and did not. I type all day long and this keyboard is so comfortable to use.

This keyboard has been an excellent keyboard and all wrist discomfort has been removed after 2 weeks with this keyboard. The keys take some time getting used to but after learning the layout, it makes typing efficiently and accurately a lot better. I would recommend this keyboard to anyone looking for something with a little more style, wanting to be a little different all while having all the added benefits of a comfortable accurate and quality keyboard.

    Needs Double Shot Keys.

We replaced a MS "Natural Ergonomic" keyboard 4000 version 1.0 with this "Sculpt Ergonomic" keyboard. The four stars is for the same reason we had to replace the model 4000...the keys are not double shot, and many keys are "blank" on the old keyboard. How well the printed keys on the Sculpt last...don't know. This can be purchased with or without the mouse. My wife really likes the domed shaped mouse as it places your wrist at the natural angle verses flat above her Logitech mouse. It is a three button mouse and that's all she uses so it's good to go for her. The Logitech wireless mouse works just fine with the MS mouse by the way. So no issues with more than one mouse. Well, at least the two we use. Set up was kind of weird as I expected a quick start guide. The USB receiver is well hidden inside the mouse, and worse, the bottom doesn't look like it comes off. But it does and inside you'll find the USB receiver. Plug that into a USB port, and it all fired-up right away. The keypad uses lithium, not AAA, battery and same as the keyboard, make sure to pull the insulator strip out. Mine were JUST able to be seen poking out. In use, my wife enjoys the key feel on the keyboard. The replaced model felt mushy but worked OK. The feel is just so much more quality feeling on the Sculpt. She touch types and did say it is angled differently so some in-use time is needed to fully make the switch. The front riser is magnetic and I'd rather have it STAY attached like the 4000 model but so far it seems to stay put once you set it down. Just don't expect it to stay on the keyboard if you lift it by the riser. The keyboard finds the floor when the two parts pop apart. The separate number pad is nice as it gets stuff off the keyboard shelf on her desk. The numbers are still across the top of the keyboard, but with the right most number pad stripped off it is kind of nice when you are working with a bunch of numbers. The price is kind of high for no double shot keys, but Best Buy price matched the MS sale price helping the value proposition some. This is why I use Best Buy as it is a real store and they support their pricing well. If it had double shot keys, so we'd know we won't see letters disappear, it would be five stars for an ergo design keyboard. That would make the $100.00 price easy to accept. Quality and value are 4 of 5 as the life of the product may fall short with printed keys. This opinion is based on why we are replacing it the first place, the MS Natural suffered this fate long before it was really worn out.

The keyboard takes a little getting used to, but once you get used to it, this is by far the best ergonomic keyboard that I have used. The keys are responsive, and I like the option of not having to use the number pad. I decided to use a trackball since I prefer that kind of mouse. The only thing that I am concerned about is the potential wearing of the palm rest, but so far so good.

      Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to review the Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop! We're glad to hear that this is the most ergonomic keyboard that you've used, and that you're loving it. You shouldn't be too worried with wear and tear for the palm rest, but if you are, you can always wipe a clean cloth on that space after use to make sure it stays nice and new.
