    Almost PERFECT...

This item is, of course, useful if you want to play with an Xbox 360 console. However, I use it to play games on my PC. It's compatible with most games and worked instantly with Windows 7 as soon as i connected it. Only thing is that you will need an adaptor if you want to connect it to the PC. If you buy this control with the intention of using it on a PC, you need to buy that adaptor. As for the "no off button" issue, it is not a huge deal. although slightly inconvenient, all you have to do is press the release button for the battery, slightly pull it out, and then push it back in. An off button would be nice, but doing that is nothing major. It is a great product. I am not exaggerating in the stats I entered. Great price, design is great if you are used to the xbox button layout, it feels strong and durable (microsoft used good materials to make these, you can feel it), and it fits my hand comfortably. Buy it! It's worth it.

    Overall Good Controller

I bought this cause I play games on PC regularly. It's great design is unquestionably one of the best on the market. Using a controller for pc might sound weird but I am also a console gamer and like the gamepad. I had trouble during installation which was due mainly on the fact that I use a program called MotionInjoi. For some reason I had to go in and switch the settings manually (with the help of Microsoft.Customer Service). If you don't know what MotionInjoi is you won't face this problem as it is a download for something else. Anyway, what's great about it is the way it feels in your hand, the wireless function, and the fact that most games automatically recognize the gamepad. The downside is that since it's wireless it might interfere with your current wifi connection and slow your connection. Another downside is that it requires AA batteries as opposed to a rechargeable battery like a pS3 controller. But overall I'm satisfied with the product.

    Solid Game Controller

The Xbox 360 has by far my favorite game controllers. Comfortable in your hands, natural button layout, and sturdy enough to pistol-whip your Ikea coffee table and survive to tell the tale (My friend gets angry when his kill streaks are broken). Black shows dirt less, but it's good to have a variety of colors so everyone can grab their favorite at a glance. Get a separate battery charger and extra rechargeable packs if you play more than occasionally. You can sometimes find these used for cheaper, which isn't a bad way to go, considering how durable they are. Best Buy's pricing is standard for new controllers, so it's not worth your time hunting around for a lower price, unless you can get a bundle special.

I have owned one of these for two years and recently bought a second one. They have been dropped countless times and still work like-new. The strength of the wireless transmitters range is great, allowing me to control a game on my living room's 52" plasma while I'm outside on the deck having some fresh air. The rumble-feedback/vibration feature works great. If you owned a first generation XBOX then the controllers on the 360 will feel familiar, a bit more compact and slightly lighter. They are very comfortable for long-term gaming. Paired with the Plug & Play kit, these controllers will last for days without need to replace/charge the batteries. If you own the black 360 Elite you must buy these controllers simply for matching purposes! Buy three of these (+ the one that came with your console) for an excellent wireless multiplayer experience with friends and family. No tangles, no wires, no brainer ;)

The X Box 360 Wired Controllers have always been the dominant life of the party, sure, you have to deal with a wire getting in the way as you get up to get your Hot Pocket (Non Recalled Version); but you have to consider these many great things: 1st, the ping time response, basically the time it takes your in game character or model to respond to your button combination is substantially cut down; most people won't notice this, but for those in the gaming elite circle, it does make a world of difference; 2nd, you don't have to purchase rechargeable batteries or a kit and never have to worry about it powering down on you; 3rd, its light weight and believe it or not more durable, ever spike a wireless controller during a huge lag spike or game save error, well this puppy can take the brunt (stares at Halo Reach). So go ahead, get your super over priced scuff or wireless, I'll stick to my traditional Wire X Box Controller.

I got the PC variant, that comes with the wireless dongle as well, and is also $13 cheaper than the one in the Xbox section, for some reason... Anyways, despite it being a last-gen design, it still has solid build quality, comfortable ergonomics, excellent buttons and triggers (minus the d-pad, what the heck were they thinking?), long battery life, and little to no noticeable input lag. Also the dongle that it comes with can support up to 4 360 controllers, so that's nice. The only negatives I can think of are that it's got a terrible d-pad, and it needs a CD for drivers. While the CD is included, and I have a CD drive, not nearly as many people do now adays. So while its a trivial complaint for me, it might be a serious drawback to others. Xbox one controllers do not need CD-based drivers on Windows 10, so if you don't have a CD drive, keep that in mind.

This controller is your typical Microsoft certified gaming pad with a couple tweaks. First, and most obvious, is the chrome finish. While this does nothing for the controller functionality, the aesthetic look is quite nice to look at. Second, the thumb sticks don't have the 4 little nubs that you feel when you get a new controller and instead opted for a depressed circle. It's different and may take a bit to get used to but it's most definitely more comfortable than the little nubs from the old style 360 controllers. Third, and final, is the transforming D-Pad that Microsoft introduced a year or two ago with newer controllers. Even though the d pad transforms, it's still the same terrible d pad it's always been. However, it functions as it should so I guess that's still a plus. All in all, for the amount of money you'll pay for it brand new, it's worth the investment if you're in the market for a new controller.

The first controller I bought for my computer was a corded one, it worked fine for a while but could not take the wrapping of the cord and became a horrible nuisance. The slightest shift of the cord and control would be lost, spiking a rush to restore control before I took a fatal plunge off the cliff ahead. Naturally I gave up on that controller but eventually to try again but this time I would get a cordless. I bought two controllers not at the same time but neither worked on my computer, so I returned one, but lost the receipt to the second one. So one day I went to best buy to inquire about upgrading options for my computer, and inquired to one of the clerks on a good controller not did he know exactly what I was missing but even had them in stock. If I had gone to best buy first I would have saved me a lot of time and money.

The buttons on these are getting soft, but it's been about two years since I had them. Good thing, because I don't play Xbox 360 as much anymore after getting my PS4. When I did use them however, the ergonomics of the controller are so comfortable and feels sooo good to hold that it feels like it becomes an extension of your hand! AND THIS IS COMING FROM A PLAYSTATION FAN. I guess this is why Sony had to change their controller design after the PS3; the PS2/PS3 controllers just didn't fit into the hand and be cradled the same way these controllers could. I honestly think the X1 controller took a step backwards in terms of feel, but hey, who am I to say? *shrugs* Pros - Great ergonomics! - Having joystick on top left is a lot more comfortable than having them symmetrical like PS controllers. - The light up on the X is cool lol Cons - Battery tend to last on the short side

Before I bought this controller I used a wired Logitech and a wired 360 controller. The Logitech's r1 broke after about six months and the wired 360 got a short after about the same. So far this controller has performed great. Little to none connection issues, and the sticks and buttons are high quality. I use Win 7 and it was more or less plug and play. I bought a second one for my wife, and it is very easy to connect the second controller. We have even played over LAN a few times and the wifi connection between the controllers never crossed. You can connect a controller to a specific receiver by simply pushing the sync buttons on the receiver and the controller. Otherwise the controller will just automatically connect to the first available receiver. I play a lot of games with controllers on my PC and I think this is the best option out there for wireless PC gaming.

pros: works with windows 10 naitively (no drivers or software needed) I purchased the pack that has the "wireless adapter for Windows" so no cables takes standard AA batteries can take some abuse and keeps on working. long battery life Cons: not rechargable without separate purchase has rumble but rumble is weak and must be turned up.( which can kill your batteries) Other Thoughts: you have to disable the Windows 10 game bar for special features to work correctly with other platforms (like steam/UBI/Origin overlays and friends lists) connecting is just like on an xbox. hit both connect buttons and once is connected game on. i didnt test the range. i play about 5 feet from wireless adapter. but i did take it to the kitchen without it disconnecting. dont know how well it preforms at that range (about 40 ft)

    Tired of battery issues

Actually bought this one for my nephew after owning another one for a few years. I grew tired of the battery packs dying on us and refusing to charge, so I opted to grab one of these instead of -another- pack. Only issue I've had with it (both old on and this one) is the obvious corded shortcomings anybody who has been playing video games are used to, so they don't bother me (and my nephew got used to it quick enough). I also use mine for a few games on my computer and haven't noticed any issues with it there either. IMO, cordless is overrated. I'll stick to corded until someone releases a charger/battery that doesn't burn out on us so quickly (2packs in less than 2yrs on one controller). I would definitely recommend this over battery packs/AA's, unless you're sitting in a very large room with a very large tv and corded -just wont work- for you.

i actually got this for my grandson (who has p.t.s.d.) and doesn't sleep much. His doctors wanted him to play "strategic and mind taxing games" for him to be able to sleep; so he went out and bought a 360 slim used at a used game store. as a result, i bought him this controller to go with it, and "The Walking Dead Season 1" video game. He fell in love with this controller, as he could convert it to a positive controller for the "x Y axis" and has used it heavily. He taught me how to convert the "x Y axis" to a "scroll wheel" configuration to use for navigating dvd menu's when he's not here. I must say that it is easy to convert to a "scroll wheel" configuration and it's camouflage design makes me feel very patriotic when using it. I could definitely recommend this to anyone, especially if you want to feel good about what the men and women in the Armed Forces do to protect our nation.

I originally bought one on massive sale, and I haven't regretted that decision in the slightest. By adjusting the d-pad, it finally makes the controller a worthwhile resource for playing fighting games, or other games that require precise d-pad inputs. In addition, changing the style of the d-pad comes with a simple twisting motion to lock it in. This is, by far, the most significant and, for me, wholly welcomed feature of the controller. As far as the rest of the controller is concerned, it's still the same solid build as the other 1st party 360 controllers on the market. A bit on the heavy side at times, but otherwise the battery life is still fantastic (both rechargeable and otherwise), the buttons hold up to some serious abuse, and the overall design is nothing short of stunning. The dual-tone metallic gold on the front marries well with the satin black on the back half.

This product has not given me any problems. I have had this for about a month, and it is still in great condition. Battery life is outstanding, I have a microphone hooked up to it and it still has three bars left. I haven't had to change them yet. The controller fits very comfortably in my hand, unlike the PS3 controller, which is akward to hold. Maybe the only problem I have had with this is the directional pad on the left side on the bottom. Sometimes I want to push the up button and it pushes the left or right one. But, that really isn't a big deal, and it might be my fault... Overall, great product. I would like to see the price go down thought...$50.00!!! Expensive!

I needed to get a controller for one of my PC games (Guacamelee), and spent some time researching online. I came to the conclusion that the Xbox 360 controller would be the most ideal PC controller to use, since I was both familiar with the layout and knew that it would be compatible with Windows. I was able to find it for a good price at Best Buy, and have been very satisfied with it, using it for both my PC and my Xbox 360. Microsoft does provide the Xbox 360 controller compatibility software for free online! You may need to search for it, however. The only con with the controller is that it's corded, limiting the distance one can play from their computer or TV screen. On the bright side, you don't need to switch in fresh batteries ever!

This Controller is Awesome. Hands down,if you intend to do any gaming for a long period of time this the controller of choice. Why? 3 Simple Answers. 1.It's wired,so no dealing with battery...ahem "issues". 2.If your "Pro" or "Hard-core" Gamer you don't have latency problems as the controller gets lower in power. 3.It's lighter & lacks the irritating battery box that weighs it down. As a bonus I'll give you a fourth reason. It works for PC as well which means it's re-sale value is guaranteed to be higher than the wireless than cannot sync without the extra wifi-USB dongle that is only sold by Microsoft with their PC only Controller. Not to mention LAME-STOP no longer carries this unit and will actually give you a good price should you decide you no longer wish to enjoy video games any longer. Enjoy.

This controller has a wireless USB dongle bundled inside that allows any wireless Xbox controller to be synced with your PC. I have used a wireless Xbox for PC controller for 2 years and 6 months before the dongle stopped working. It was plugged in 24/7 with my computer (in several iterations) powered up 24/7. When I unplugged it trying to sync an additional controller recently, the dongle never functioned again. The controller still works great however. Considering the dongle was powered on for just about 2 and a half years straight, I think it stood up pretty well. This controller bundle is great for controller enabled games on Steam. Most controller enabled games on Steam are mapped to the Xbox controllers by default. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this controller.

Excellent deal for anyone looking for a wireless game controller that will work with their Xbox 360 and/or Windows computer. It comes with a USB dongle for wireless Xbox 360 controllers to connect. Install was easy. (Just plug it into any USB port on a Windows PC.) The included wireless Xbox 360 controller feels solid and well made. Even the home button is shinier than the original 350 controller. Overall this was a great purchase and worth getting. Even if you don't plan on using with a PC, it's still nice to have that option. Or if you're tight on cash but still need a controller for PC and your 360, this solves everything. OEM controllers are the way to go. Don't buy cheap knockoffs or generics. They never work or feel as good. Stick to gaming with the official Microsoft Xbox 360 wireless controller!

The Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless controller is comfortable and practical, the black xbox 360 controller unlike any rumors out there, is the same as the original white one. it just looks nicer. Its does however uses up batteries pretty fast depending on how much you use it and if you enable vibrate. but getting the battery charge pack to go with it and it will eventually pay for itself. if there are any technical problems with the elite controller is that the d-pad occasionally miss-clicks or double clicks, like when i press left. i almost never don't use it doesn't interfere with my gameplay. overall this is a great product and i highly recommend it. although all i'm recommending is the cool black color. (and the awesomeness that is the xbox 360)
