Best gamepad for windows PC hands down

I have been inbetween consoles for a while waiting to see which one to get. In the meantime I've build a gaming rig and wanted to keep the console feel by using a gamepad. The Microsoft wireless controller for Windows wasn't even a contest. With its plug and play, all I needed to do was update to the newest version of the driver. It says up to 4 controllers can be connected to the adapter. I have only tried two so far and both worked without an issue. I would recommend this controller to anyone who wants to play without a keyboard/mouse set-up.

This is a great item....its very responsive and is the same as any other Microsoft XBOX 360 controller. Much better than any off brand controller, and the chrome finish just makes it stand out that much more. If you don't wipe it down periodically, it does lose its shine quickly, but, for the look, cost, and performance, I prefer this over the regular white or black controllers any day.

    Best Wireless PC Game Controller

I've had and tried many 3rd party gamepad controllers both wired and wireless. The X-Box 360 is the one I found to be the best quality in feel and response. Despite not having any frills and whistles (except programmable buttons and vibration) this is by far my favorite. Easy to set up, and never had an issue with the wireless, even in the most pressing gaming moments. Highly Recommended.

I purchased this to use with my PC. One of the reasons is because need for speed most wanted works without doing anything. Also found several games from steam that work with it. The controller has little click sound sometimes but not a concern as I'm not using it while trying to be quite. Drivers worked without any issue on Windows 10. would highly recommend for any PC gamer looking for controller.

    Should be the standard!

Even though wireless controllers may be the standard package, a wired controller is much more reliable in the long run and better for competition. Since it doesn't use a battery pack, the controller is much lighter. A wired controller never lags and a player will never have to worry about battery life or signal interference, as well as not having to synchronize a controller to a console.

There's a reason the Xbox 360 controller is considered one of the best, if not THE BEST, controller in the history of video games. The shape contours perfectly to your hands. The joysticks are comfortable and don't make your thumbs sore during long gaming sessions. The triggers and buttons are responsive so they won't fail you during those quick-reaction situations. The battery pack doesn't get in the way at all. No pun intended but when you hold it, you actually feel in CONTROL of your game. Plus, the gold design is oh-so-sweet!

Microsoft controllers tend to be very well made, so we paid the extra for a non aftermarket one. We needed an extra controller for multiplayer that could also work with a PC. I had read about the wireless ones having some issues working with PCs so we played it safe and chose the corded model which had the added benefit of being cheaper. It had an ample cord length of 9 feet, more than I think you'd ever need. The controller ended up working flawlessly with our PCs; you basically just plug it in and it works.

Console comfort for the PC master race!

This is the one thing the PC master race does not have over its console competition, a comfortable controller. Having being a fan of consoles, but unable to play the top tier mmorpg I had to break down and build a gaming PC. One problem, I am not proficient using a keyboard and mouse. BAM, the xbox 360 controller solves all my problems. All it is...a xbox controller that I am used to with an adapter cable and software to play on my PC. At worst, I now have a back up controller for my xbox. nuf said. Buy it. It's a win win.

Great compliment to a Great system

this is a great controller that really compliments a great system. Wireless is the way to go these days, and this is a very easy to use controller that takes full advantage of wireless technology. No more wires to trip over or get tangled. And you can use it to power on and off your console from across the room. I would recommend buying the rechargeable battery pack though, you can then plug into the system while playing and it will charge your controller or just decide to leave it plugged into the console and it will charge. Another great product.

I need an additional controller to play Xbox360 with my daughter. My daughter has a lot of hand sweat, so a gloss controller is not ideal. Later I find out the black controllers from Microsoft may be either gloss or matt, and I heard bad connections exist in some of these black controllers. I try this controller mainly because it has a matt surface with various colors so my daughter's hand sweat will not make the controller look dirty all the time (well it's still there just the look is not too bad). Highly recommended!

I use this controller for steam games on my PC. I really like the feel of a 360 controller, especially with platformer games. The bluetooth wireless works great on it and is very easy to set up. My one complaint is that it uses AA batteries (first set included). I would have preferred and charging method similar to a PS3 controller. What makes this a little worse is there is no way to turn the controller off. It will automatically shut off if it is idle for about a min. This seems like a waste of battery life to me.

    Improved D-Pad

First off, the D-pad on this controller is far superior to the standard Xbox controller. For the uninitiated, the "D-pad" is the set of directional buttons on the left side of the controller. These are tight and responsive. You can twist on the D-pad to elevate or lower the buttons, depending on your preference and gaming style. The control sticks are tight and responsive, and the overall color of the controller is attractive and unique. Reminds me of my atomic purple Nintendo 64 controller from years ago...

I bought this Microsoft controller to play games on my laptop. I use Windows 8 and I was extremely impressed how it synced automatically with my pc. It worked perfectly without any additional downloads. I use it to play games purchased from Steam and once again, everything syncs perfectly. I highly recommend it, this controller does not require any additional software or downloads, it works great straight out of the box. I recommend the wired version of the xbox controller.

I bought this controller because I wanted to try playing Skyrim with a controller instead of a keyboard and mouse. I bought it at Best Buy (using a price-match from online, which they did for me at the register; very helpful), took it home, plugged it into my Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit desktop, it loaded the drivers, started up Skyrim, and it just worked. Very happy with the ease of installation and use. Would recommend this controller to anyone wanting to play Skyrim with one, especially on a Windows machine.

there is not a lot to say about an Xbox 360 controller, it's pretty much just like any other controller. fits in your hand nicely, the buttons are very responsive as they should be, I would always recommend getting a wireless controller, because who wants to be wired to the console, and it can save you from disasters like a trip on the cord causing your console to fly off its shelf and crashing into the floor! The only bad thing about all console controllers are the price (although the PS3 controllers cost more)

This is a great controller, and possibly one of the greatest controller designs ever. The one negative sticking point I've always had was the D-pad. The D-pad on the 360 controllers are quite awful for what they're intended to do. This new design allows for the intermediate portions of the D-pad, between the four main directions, to drop away. This design helps, but only slightly. The overall D-pad is still a joystick in essence. They should have just used 4 separate buttons, like all the D-pads before it.

    Great controller for the PC

There isn't much to say about this controller. It is an Xbox wireless controller with a USB wireless receiver. This allows you to play your PC games using a standard Xbox controller. The controller itself is well built. It is very comfortable to use. This does not have the adjustable D-day that the newer Xbox controllers have. Although it is a pretty standard controller, it is a standard because it works so well. It comes with a utility disc, though Windows will install the drivers without the disc.

    Awesome Wireless Conroller!

When I first opened my 360 pro, I took out my controller first and felt so free! Without wires, there's nothing weighing you down while you game and the wireless transmitter is outstanding! I stood at least 30 feet away and it reacted with the console perfectly! With the Wii, you have to hold the wii remotes at almost equal heights to the sensor bar for it to react. Like I said, you feel free, no extra weight, and perfect responsiveness! Great product, good job Microsoft!

    Great Comfort from a Controller

    Posted
    UrbanTechGuru

Microsoft designed an ergonomic controller for optimum comfort and aesthetics. The controller syncs seamlessly to your 360 and you can power the console on and off with the controller as well. I definitely recommend the Play & Charge kit so you don’t have to use disposable batteries and waste your money on them. I still don’t understand why Sony keeps the same awkward and aging controller with their PS3. Overall this is the best controller available for any gaming console.

Xbox 360 Controller, Still the Best

Bought this "wired" XBox 360 controller so that I can finally use my PC with a controller that works. The wireless ones that I had; the receiver broke. I went with a wired one after seeing that there were less compatibility issues and better latency with a wired controller. XBox 360 controllers continue to be the best design, in my opinion. Fits great. Can't wait to use an XBox One controller on my PC. After all these years, these controllers should be less expensive.
