Beware -- charger may not be working

This power cord did not work on the Surface Pro 3 hardly at all; it did work somewhat on the Surface Book. The problem was that, after attaching the "male" pin into the computer, the light on the pin would come on. I would look at this and assume that the computer was charging. WRONG! After a few seconds, the light would go out. No charging. Very frustrating to go to use the computer assuming it had charged and instead finding that its dead. Forget about trying to use this charger when using the computer. Definitely a frustrating power cord that shouldn't be bought.
