geek squad replaced for me from the store so i did not have to wait for one to be mailed to me. the order system was down so they just took it from the retail store. great customer service in this case.

It works well now. However, I got a replacement from Best Buy before and got to smoking while I was in a meeting so I am not sure it was just a faulty one or not. No complaints thus far for this purchase.

I bought this charger because my old one frayed and stopped working and I needed a replacement in a pinch, still currently working and works better than the old one by a lot!

I have a new puppy that has not learned yet that you should not chew on things that do not belong to her. I woke up one morning to find my charger cord chewed through. My laptop was dead and I had a major project that had yet to be saved to the cloud. I was in a panic but was able to order a replacement online and charge the laptop in time to complete the project. I love that you can either order things to be delivered or have the item picked up at a local store for emergency "my dog ate it" situations.

Wish the wall charger Microsoft sells was more competitively priced. It's expensive, but does a great job keeping my Surface Pro 3 Laptop charged without overheating the cord. Now if I can keep my Dobe puppy from chewing this one I'll be in good shape.

Works great with our small laptop, needed a Surface 65W Power /supply

Magnetic power connects to my Surface easily. Power cord is reliable and provides a full charge to my Surface in a short time recharge. Connective magnetic pins do the magic. This is the only real charger to rely upon.

The Microsoft power plug for Surface devices is compact, lightweight, and does the job well. It charges quickly and reliably, and I appreciate the magnetic connector — it snaps into place easily and pulls out safely if tripped over, which is great for preventing accidents.

Lightweight and easy to pack. However, the magnet twists off fairly easily if you aren’t careful. Wish there was another design.

Rating this 5 stars to let people know that this is indeed the official charger for Microsoft Surface product -- works perfectly with my Surface Laptop 2. But I also wanted to add my voice to others here that I bought this charger to replace the one that came with my laptop after it stopped charging reliably after just over a year of use. There were no signs of damage to the old charger I replaced, and this seems to be a thing that happens often. So, if you're looking to replace your charger for your older Surface Laptop, you've come to the right place. And, yes, your laptop probably stopped charging due to a previous faulty charger due to crap build quality from Microsoft. Yay on Best Buy for stocking the official charger. Boo on Microsoft for making an expensive product with crap build quality.
