The surface book 2 is good regarding the functionality and look. However, it is perfect. There are little issues with the battery/power. When you plug in USB-C thunder the battery/power sign becomes yellow warning. I would have put four stars but changed to five stars because of the $200 discount.

The Microsoft - Surface Book 2 is awesome. The 13.5" screen is perfect for working on the go and the touch screen makes it even easier. It is fast and light - perfect for travel and home. The option to remove the screen and flip it around or use it just as a tablet makes it the most convenient device I own.

This computer was a replacement for one that crashed after the 1st window's update. LOVE this one - so much better + the keyboard detaches, which I wanted, but didn't realize did not happen on my original one. So everything worked out well that I had to return my 1st computer and ended up w/ this one.

While there may be issues sometimes this is an almost perfect marriage of laptop and tablet.

The Surface Book 2 is a useful, powerful tool that functions as a laptop and a tablet when needed. I was initially concerted that it's weight would render it more user- friendly as a laptop, but it fits and carries nicely as a tablet as well. Functional in either capacity, I'm happy with my purchase.

Bought this for my daughter for Christmas and she loved it. She uses it for everything and loves that she can draw on it and use it as a laptop or tablet. She takes it with her everywhere. I know this laptop has many features but those are the ones she really wanted it for.

I don’t know much about computers. But this one is pretty but so heavy. I’m also a little weary about the battery life because of microsofts cool policy about not replacing batteries. But the laptop was on sale and it’s a two in one. If you have money to blow, get this I suppose.

I was upgrading from a surface pro 4 because it was frankly slow and unreliable and I grew to despise the hybrid tablet and magnetically attached keyboard because it was just a hassle to use. In doing my research my wife helped and noted that Consumer Reports as a whole lifted their recommendations from the ENTIRE Microsoft Surface Line due to lack of reliability issues and number of returns/repairs within a year of purchase... I made it 19 days. If I weren't Best Buy Elite I would have been hosed as I didn't get GeekSquad protection! Compare the price of this device's spec'ed screen resolution, processor, and memory vs what you would get with the spectre x360 or yoga 920 and you can see you're getting shafted. I listened to the floor salesman that sold me on the surface having the most unadulterated windows experience. Let me tell you most manufacturers have caught on how much their bloatware irritates consumers and its minimal these days on the other flagships. So given that, the surface book 2's performance was okay... Day 19 when switching the tablet from being docked in reverse for tablet view mode to standard laptop view mode it goes into an endless loop of trying to recognize the tablet as being docked. I could not use the mouse nor keyboard. Oddly the only button that worked on my keyboard was the physical button that allowed undocking by releasing the magnetic hold on the tablet. If you read the reddit forums this is a recurrent issue for surface books. Be honest with yourself when deciding what you want. If you want to use something in pure tablet mode you want something smaller like one of the samsung galaxies or an ipad. So undocking a monitor from the tablet/keyboard base is not a good selling point because are you really going to hold up a 13" monitor for hours at a time? Go with one of the other flagships on a stable hinge where if you really want to do some serious work in tablet mode you can just fold the entire base back. Having the computing power of your tablet reduced by undocking it seems ridiculous in this day and age. Stay away from the surface book hype, it's not worth it. And thank goodness I am Best Buy Elite because I would have been infuriated if I couldn't have returned this brick.

If you’re in the market for a good laptop with the capability of writing notes as a tablet, surface book is definitely one you should consider. Unlike its predecessor, Surface Book 2 does not come with a pen. You would have to buy one if you want to use it as a notepad.

The price may be expensive but the technology in it is so worth it. Typing is a breeze and accessing everything is so easy. I love the facial recognition and the pin that is required if it doesn't recognize you. The keyboard is so sleek and I love the Microsoft line.

I am really enjoying this machine. It is powerful and has a ton of handy software tools available to download. Nice big screen. Also like to use my pencil with it. I can draw, write, scribble on presentations, pull up a white board, post it notes, 3x5 cards and much more.

Just loved using this laptop...easy to carry, loved how easy it is to use.

Great for office use and travel use. Wish there were more options for cases though.

The removable display is my favorite feature, and I often use the PC in tablet mode. The keyboard is excellent, and I've added a pen to enhance use with the screen either attached or detached. My one wish: That the keyboard be wireless-capable.

My granddaughter loves it. She was very impressed with all the features and capability. She was getting familiar with the Pen and its applications. She is very happy with the extra insurance and will find the nearest Best Buy location when she gets to College.

Microsoft surface book 2 is an ideal for the one who is looking for the trendy and useful laptop. The detachable screen mode is awesome, just can be used as a tablet. The stylus pen activity and touch screen great for working with graphics and presentation.
