The machine o/s gets use to you! After that... It is fast, comfortable The detachable/tablet is well made. Nice size for transport. Pen is great! Keyboard could use a bit largerspacebar key (get it).Sound is adequate. Charge time is quick. I run and render plans in the field with Adobe Pro and it sucks a little power @ 5 hours full time. Normally use perhaps 8?

Ive had it for about 11 months and so far, no trouble, battery life is great, and I love the style and portability. I would definitely buy this again. Better than Surface Pro because the keyboard has a better feel.

I've had it for 2 years and I feel like it has been mostly okay. I've had some issues with overheating and some updates issues but generally speaking it's a pretty solid computer. I wish it wasn't so top heavy and I don't know that I actually needed the detachable part of it but it's a fun little perk.

This is the best thing that you can get for this price in the form of a laptop. The tablet mode simply make it superb tablet and laptop is super fast ,it does face detection in dark room as well. It's a no brainer, just go for it.

Microsoft's best, a great 2-in-one laptop with great versatility

I am not a tech person, but this laptop has done everything I needed and more and run fast. I like the versatility of having a laptop when I need it but also being able to make it a tablet.

i have had this Surface Book 2 now for 2 months, and couldn't be more pleased. If you like writing tablet style this is as good as a legal pad and gel pen, and you can upload your notes and make them searchable. In laptop mode it has excellent battery life of practically all day, with plenty of power to do anything I have thrown at it so far. I also really like the keyboard, as it is large enough to type comfortably with just enough space between the keys so your hands don't feel cramped typing. I absolutely love this hybrid laptop and truly feel that I have the best of both options. It's also nice to have the touch option when using it as a laptop instead of having to use the touch pad or mouse all the time.

I purchased my surface book at the beginning of the year as I was starting a new job where I work from home. This laptop has been a godsend. It’s light and portable, keeps charge and is convertible. Best choice I made.

I have been looking for a school computer for a while and when I came to Best Buy a sales person named Chris was so very helpful in helping me find the best computer for school! It’s light weight runs amazing and the tablet aspect is top of the line! Great camera as well and surprisingly loud for a computer speaker!

this is my first laptop purchase in over 13 years. i've been fortunate enough to have one that lasted me a very long time, but i figured it's time that i need to upgrade. i considered the usual - dells, hps, toshibas for the PC and macbooks (Air and Pro) for Mac (I've been using a Mac for the last 10 years for work) - and i decided to go with the new kid on the block instead. what sold me was the built quality and also the absolutely ease of syncing with the office365. it's only been three months, but i'm very happy with the purchase. the built quality (man, the keyboard is awesome, especially compared to my macbook pro, and is almost as good as thinkpad x1's keyboards) is amazing, the speed and stability of the product is unassailable.

I am satisfied with the product. I had to do google searches to find out that more than 1/2 of the power is stored in the keyboard and the rest in the tablet. This is why the tablet does not have the specified battery life by itself. There is a charging port at the bottom of the tablet, which is not obvious. This way the tablet can be charged separately and I believe faster. If you buy a good keyboard for the smaller version, Surface Pro, that keyboard has to be charged separately. I believe Surface Book is better because the tablet and the keyboard could be charged together + the tablet could be charged by itself. It is the best 2 in 1 and the improvement I would like to see is extending the battery life.

Bought this for school and love it. It's so easy to take to class, work or wherever I go. I love that I can also use it as a tablet. The graphics are great and the touch screen makes it so easy for photo editing

Decided to make this investment since I had played with my work surface... my favorite feature is you can snap the screen off and use it as a tablet at your leisure. Battery life is pretty great awesome

Purchased and installed the typical s/w including MS Office 2016. Everything works great. It is fast with lots of storage. Wish for the $ it came with a pen. Love the sleek style. Seems sturdy; time will tell.

Screen quality, build quality and performance are top-notch. Price is a bit expensive though, and the machine is in no way upgradeable. As long as you buy it with that in mind, you should be fine.

Just bought the surface book 2 for my wife and she loves it! Great graphics, very light weight, the sound is great and it's very very fast. Thanks Ricky (Compton BB) for your great service and knowledge.

Awesome combination laptop/tablet. Works just as I expected, if not exceeded. I was skeptical and did many searches before purchasing this. Only down side is the thickness, if the screen was re-designed to sit flush with the keyboard, it would have been given a 5 star! Wonderful for every lifestyle.

Microsoft has built an amazing product. I love this surface book and use it for all my business needs. Great purchase at a great price!! I would definitely recommend this product!!

Light, fast, did I say light and fast! Comming from a 15.6 machine I was worried about the loss of screen size. No worries. What a great little laptop, or use as a tablet. 5 stars all the way.
