Great laptop, lightweight, fast and friendly, synchronized with my Note 8 phone and feel my productivity went to the next level.

I have a lot of computers 19 to be exact. I LOVE the surface book but am now returning my second as the quality control on this unit is awful or I just have terrible luck. It is light, It has good speed for basic computing, the speakers sound good. But the touch screen has failed on two units in a row. I follow all windows instructions and guess what. The first screen was getting phantom strikes every 1-3 seconds making the pc impossible to use without turning off the touch screen. The second worked for two days and now the entire right side of the screen does not recognize it is being touched. Love the design but for 1200-1300 I expect a product that has been properly tested. Call me picky.

I love everything about this laptop. It works really great, has a great battery life, it’s made well, the programs work great, and it won’t look all scratched up after a couple weeks of use. The only downside that I have noticed so far is, if your battery is very low you cannot disconnect the tablet. So if you have it flipped around to write notes with the pen you cannot disconnect it and flip it back around to put it away. I would recommend this to any high school or college student or anyone really.

This is a great size with all of the flexibility and complexity for performance of many functions, easy setup and travels great.

So I did a TON of research when looking for a new laptop. I narrowed it down to the Surface line, and ended up deciding between the Surface Laptop and the Surface Book 2. The Surface laptop looked great and was really thin and I almost got it for that reason, but I liked the idea of being able to transform the Book into a tablet if needed. I have another laptop for editing/music making so I personally didn't need anything over the top or really powerful. This was purely an extra laptop for business/personal use. I went with the 13 inch i5 256GB version and it has been great so far! I wanted something smaller and more portable, so that;s why I went with this version. If you are looking for one for editing/gaming I would recommend going with the i7 1TB. Only problem is, it starts to get a bit expensive. But if you have the money and you find the Surface Book 2 appealing, then go for it! From what I read, the hinge is much better on the Book 2 vs the 1st Gen Book, and so far that seems to be the case. I have had this for about 5 weeks now, and have not run into any major problems. So overall, you just have to decide what is perfect for you, but the Book 2 is certainly a great choice!

This machine is fast and well made! The quality of the screen is also really nice and the battery lasts a long time.

I use the Surface Book for both business and personal use. I made the switch from the Surface Pro for the bigger screen and I’m happy with it. The ability to detach the screen for use as a tablet is a great feature.

I have been looking for a light and fast computer. I love the fact that I can set it for presentation at conferences.

I use this laptop for graduate school studies. I love how easy it is to navigate. The touch screen is impressive, and I enjoy being able to highlight documents by hand. I do not currently own the stylus, but I don't need it for my use at this time. The keyboard is extremely comfortable. I use a keyboard cover purchased from another vendor, and the keys do not stick. It's speedy and can handle sevwral websites at once. It takes a while to charge, but overall it's a great buy!

The new pc is light, thin and fast. I can take it when travel without taking a lot of room on my carry on

I purchased this laptop for nursing school and it does everything I need it to plus some... I keep learning how to do more and more on it everyday. Worth every penny. I would highly recommend this to any student.

I got this at a really nice discount. Solid performance and a really nice look at feel. I also use it a lot in tablet mode. A little bit heavier compared to other tablets.

It is really light weight, and is super fast. The only thing I wish is they add would be a cellular version.

The PC has been able to handle everything I've been able to throw at it. I'm not a gamer and I don't edit videos but I do work with very large spreadsheets and do a lot of multitasking. I purchased the pen it's not a necessity but a good to have and it works great. I've purchased other Windows PC that have had a pen and my experience wasn't good but that's not the case with this pen it works great. I don't regret this purchase at all.

I went to best buy frustrated with windows based computers and intent on buying an apple. I didn't want to learn a new operating system but i wanted a computer that worked without glitches. They talked me into trying this computer and i am so glad i did. No junk software loaded, no annoying antivirus software. Works like it should everytime and i didn't have to learn a new operating system. No glitches, best computer i have worked with.

Good computer, very flexible. I teach and the tablet functionality with the surface pen has been life-changing for drawing diagrams for my students. It's hard to find grade level appropriate diagrams all the time and editing what I can find used to take so much longer. I've even gotten back into art and started drawing more for pleasure too. Definitely recommend. 4 stars is only because it is expensive and it is still a Windows machine and the constant reminders and pop ups about trying new features drives me insane.

The build quality is excellent, with a nice bright screen and excellent keyboard that's great for typing. The trackpad is also superb. Besides the versatility of this unit, perhaps the best feature is the battery life. While I don't think I'll ever reach the optimistic 17 hours of rated battery life because of the workload I place on this, I can easily work all or most of a day without having to worry about being plugged in.
