Replaced a three year old MacBook Air that wasn’t cutting it. The surface is a tiny bit heavier which doesn’t really make a difference to me. It’s twice a fast as the Mac. I love the detachable keyboard. Very powerful and versatile. A bit pricey, just like the macs are. As a caveat, if you prefer Apple operating systems you’re probably better with the Mac. I actually find windows to be more intuitive so I’m glad I switched.

Love the ability to use this with apps as a tablet and also as a laptop with keyboard. Perfectly portable to do my photography and design work, has been running great for the 2 months I've had it.

My first choice was an Apple IPad, but being a developer and using Microsoft visual studio I was leaning to a windows machine, The Surface wasn't even on my radar until the Surface Book 2 came out. With the detachable screen you can use it like an ipad and still have the benefits of a windows machine. The screen is crisp, bright, and easy to read. The keyboard and mouse have the look and feel of a MacBook and it is light yet sturdy. You don't feel like your going to break it. I opted for the higher level internals, CPU & memory, storage is only 500GB but with an office 365 subscription you get 1TB of storage in the cloud. I've had the device since Nov '17 and very please with the performance and versatility.

Aside from the normal hype, the surface book is quite a piece of art, overall design, and performance are outstanding. Only downside I've found thus far is wanting more USB ports.

I bought this to continue to work and learn with digital editing and it works amazing. Very fast and super responsive. Light weight and sleek.

Love the size, weight and versatility of this computer. I have downloaded photoshop and it has plenty of ram and memory for the software.

I bought this because i needed a more powerful computer to run autocad and other design programs but i wanted something that wasn't so heavy in my backpack every day. This met all of my expectations and more. It does everything i need to, no lag time, and the battery life is amazing. I have yet to use it in tablet mode but I imagine i will at some point. I got a best buy card and bought this with 0% financing for a year so this was a real win for me. Highly recommended.

I bought this PC for my wife who is going to be using it for mostly designing and creative 3D apps. She loves the versatility the surface book offers versus the competitors. The performance is just if not greater than most other PC’s out there. Surface book is capable of delivering and handling most of the creative softwares out there without lag. We have not had any issues since we owned it. Another excellent product from Microsoft!

Awesome computer fast easy to set up and use. The pen is a great addition and the battery life is great.

My old computer was 7 Years old and at the time I bought it from Best Buy, It was also right at the top. I love being able to remove the screen, write on it and it's ease of use for me.

This surface book is so amazing. I purchased this to travel and give presentations with, but instead, I made it my desktop by using the surface dock with it. I still use it for travel, but this so powerful that it is also my desktop. It does heat up a bit after use, and I pretty much never use the tablet by itself, because it also can get a little hot. I absolutely love this computer.

This is the best laptop I have ever owned. Easy to use, great size, and fast.

I bought this 2-in-1 to replace my aging macbook, with the added ability to replace the drawing surface on my iPad. Not only does this device fill both nitches, it far surpasses my needs. My only complaint is that the screen is a bit too heavy for the hinge and it falls backward a tad and the battery could last longer. Get the pen, get a hard case and a screen protector and you're all set.

Fantastic Computer. It is an all in one computer. Docks to be used like a desktop and portable for a laptop then even further it becomes a tablet! I replace an older surface with the new surface. I really enjoy the laptop. Great for gaming, Video editing, and pretty much anything i need to do. Great Screen,

I needed a computer with a good (dedicated) video graphics card for running a 3D home modeling software and I also needed great screen resolution for editing photos. I initially was looking at the Mac workbook with the dedicated graphics card but couldn’t get over the price of $2,500 and then need to still purchase additional products like the SD card reader. I am very glad I started looking into the Microsoft surface. This computer has been great running my 3D modeling software, the screen resolution is amazing. I also love being able to disconnect the screen and just ‘lounge’ surfing the internet like a tablet. I am use to working on both apple and windows products though, so if you have only worked on apple products only there would probably be a learning curve. But I would recommend this computer for anyone looking for a higher end computer for graphics/video/editing/etc

Every aspect of this laptop meets all of my expectations. It has a great keyboard and track pad and an amazing screen. The build quality is exceptional and it has a nice selection of ports. It runs extremely well and has a very long battery life. Over all it’s a fantastic laptop that I would recommend to everyone.

After having Dell XPS15 and several HP devices the surface book 2 is a welcome change. Battery life is fantastic for a machine with such versatility. I use the pen a lot and detach the screen to take notes and draw pictures as needed. Great purchase and glad I picked this over the MacBook.

I've been using this laptop in my last year as an engineering student. It has been amazing to take notes on, run programs, and work on projects. It is fast and has a very nice display.It is simple and useful to switch between laptop & tablet mode making it a great 2 in 1 device.
