I have purchased this laptop in August and I still am in love with the product. It is a great laptop and the fact that I can take off the screen and use it as a tablet is awesome. I am an illustrator and spend a lot of time using photoshop and corel painter. This computer is perfect for this type of work. I did not give a 5 stars because the battery life is not as they mention in their website. I cannot give you numbers, as the battery life is really depending of how you use your computer, what software you are using and how hard you are using the machine.... etc.

I bought this computer for my wife, who mostly uses it for watching videos and web browsing. The Face ID to log in works perfectly, and everything I’ve tried to do on it has worked with ease. It synced with our home group easily so I didn’t have to use the hard drive to move the old files over. It’s a little pricey, but yuh get what you pay for, Would highly recommend.

This laptop was amazing when I first got it. Super light, attractive styling, serious power. But I'm five months into owning it, and the screen doesn't detach anymore, probably 70-80% of the time. No big deal you might think, until you realize the charging functionality is somehow connected to the detach functionality! Look to a company other than Microsoft for your next laptop.

I love my SurfaceBook 2. It is compact, light, fast and really a great looking laptop/tablet.

This Surface Book was a replacement for my laptop and I couldn't be happier. There have been no issues with this acting as my laptop and the added benefit of being able to use as a tablet has been a great asset. I use this primarily for work and it has been able to help me be more efficient with multi-tasking and has not had any issues with running all the programs I need to complete my work. Very happy with the purchase!

I would have given this 5 stars but once you take the "tablet" from the keyboard, the battery life if fairly short for working. That being said, if you place the tablet backwards on the keyboard and flatten it to use like a tablet, it is very useful. The keyboard carries a separate battery from the tablet and they share power between the 2 batteries when connected. This extends the usable work life of the tablet mode. Great product and very user friendly. This replaced my iPad for work purposes.

The screen on this is pretty good. However, don't expect to take advantage of the extra GPU chipset... and the latch to disconnect the screen and use as tablet won't unlatch most of the time - it has to be in the right circumstances... Whatever those are the computer decides - not you. However, on the surface Pro series you can just detach the keyboard and use as a tablet - that's what I replaced this with... Oh not enough ports should have a full HDMI for this price and a USB-C Thunderbolt. Com'on MS! I do like the magnetic power connection.

Best Laptop i have ever owned, not a single issue, light, slim, best for business.

Lets start by saying Ive own mac computers since I can remember. I bought this computer on a whim and have never looked back. This thing replaced my desktop and my ipad pro all in one. It does everything my work computer and ipad can do in one device. Its a perfect addition. also it runs fortnite flawlessly. A+ from me.

Owned the surface book 2 13.5 8gb 256gb for two months now and love every aspect of it. Used daily for school work (mainly Microsoft Office, research, and SPSS). Battery life is superb running 8hrs without charge (minimal web browsing and word typing). Graphics with CPU performance is great (play Madden 19 & Age of empire with no lag). One of the best purchases I've made thus far. Highly recommend.

Wonderful computer! Fast and easy to use. Good for games and education.

The tablet option is great for illustrations (with the surface pen) and laptop is durable through class lectures and impromptu trips to the library and some quick shooting of footage for projects. Also great for presenting ideas either to peers or to a room full of people with an hdmi adapter to projector. All in all, did not regret this purchase.

A cousin of mine purchased a Microsoft Surface before I got mine. One day I needed a laptop to use and she let me use hers. I really liked it. It was a perfect size for me and I really Liked that it was touch screen. Also, I thought the screen which can b unattached was super cool. I purchased my own Microsoft Surface laptop and I absolutely love it.

This computer is a nice upgrade from surface pro laptops without losing what made the pro laptops great. It has the specs and battery life to handle practically anything. It feels a lot more like a 'real' laptop (with an actual hinge instead of the back flap) with all the options of a powerful tablet. I do hate that the computer DOES NOT come with a surface pen and must be bought apart...

If you have about $2000 to spare. Don't even look for anything else other than the surface book. There are already a lot of reviews for this device, so I will not say more but as a user, this is a very cool laptop to own and just blows away my MacBook. Also, Microsoft has really upped their game in the past few years and now their design is actually envious. The first day I walked into the office with this new device, this device got compliments from everyone around me. Just buy this if you have a lot of money to spare.
