I bought this computer for my wife and myself, to use for our jobs, and for our arts and crafts, and other hobbies . I’m learning how to play the Electronic keyboard and guitar, so the portability of this laptop folded while leaning on the stand, makes it safe to view; while taking up minimum space.

I know the first thing that comes to ones mind while buying these products is Omg, that’s expensive! Well, it is. But it is worth it. Couldn’t ask for more. All the features it provides makes your life super-easy. And there’s no other product out there to match it’s level. The best 2-in-1 laptop!

I’ve never had a computer I loved more than this one! It’s a tablet, a laptop, and I can use it as an X-Box as well. Microsoft Office is my favorite and appears to work best on its own product.

I got this for using in my college classes but also i got it for sketching and play some tablet style game and it excels in all 3 of those and i love the fact the keyboard detaches for use as a tablet. Surface book 2 was perfectly done great job microsoft!!!!

Bought my ProBook 2 last May on the recommendation of one of BestBuy’s team members. It has performed flawlessly. Size, weight, performance, BATTERY LIFE, ability to use as a tablet are all key reasons I chose this model and it has not disappointed. I highly recommend this product!

Had to upgrade from old laptop and the surface book 2 was a great combination of weight, size and functionality. Taking it on trips where size and weight were both important. Has all the capability I need without excessive weight or size.

I bought a Microsoft Surface Book 2 for my 14 year old son. It is perfect for his school work as it integrates very well with the Google and Microsoft products used in his classroom. This computer is the PC version of a hybrid Macbook/iPad computer. Great for educational needs in a child.

I was looking for a great laptop replacement for my son. He is in mechanical engineering and this laptop has been great for running all the programs he needs to have for classes. Highly recommend it.

I love this laptop for school I can just convert to tablet mode and write it down everything is so nice WAY better then apple products they still haven't gotten the touch screen down. The touch screen really makes things easier a lot. Overall easy to use and I love it

I've had this Surface Book 2 for a few weeks now, so I've got a solid impression of it. The good: It has a nice strong magnesium body, there's no flex in the tablet or keyboard. The keys have a very subtle rubbery feel, not plain plastic. Keys are backlit, and the brightness is adjustable independently of the screen. The screen is nice and sharp with good color reproduction, and gets very bright at max brightness. It actually has enough horsepower to run games decently, though it does get hot after a while. Using the surface pen (purchased separately) is very natural, with almost no lag noticed. The battery lasts much longer than my previous d*** even though it had theoretically lower power consumption. There are several hidden features that bring value, such as being able to charge the laptop via the usb c port if you forget the included adapter. Overall, the build quality is excellent. Microsoft really made a nicely polished laptop.

I switched from a MacBook Pro because I was limited in what I could do with it. After purchasing this product I am very happy about my decision. I can have a tablet and a laptop in one.

If you're like me, here is the TL:DR in case you're like me and want to get to the meat and potatoes first: No kickstand, moderately okay graphics card, digitizer technology that comes second only to Wacom, the fact that the silver on white keyboard backlighting is for some reason unsurprisingly hard to see in well lit areas, and the fact the Surface Book is essentually just a beefier Surface Pro, I sometimes question why I even considered it in the first place. No I do not recommend the book line of products to pretty much anyone. You can find more value from other members of the surface family, and if you really need the horsepower, other systems like the Dell XPS 15 are boasting higher specs at a fraction of the cost. If you're a graphics illustrator like me, this device is an absolute disappointment. I've only had the device for less than a month and I have almost no incentives to stop using my dying Surface Pro 4 with a broken kickstand and dead pixel count that outnumber the boxes of cinnamon toast crunch my kids rip through in a standard month. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the surface line of products and truly wish that microsoft afforded more money to the R&D team responsible for the Ntrig pen technology. I refuse to support the digitizer monopoly held by Wacom and ended up trading in my 27UHD Cintiq for my first surface pro 4. Bold claim, but I actually like my Surface Pro 4 better than any Wacom Bamboo, Intuos, or Cintiq product I have ever owned. I've even tried those oddball Huion tablets and they don't even begin to compare. So why then would I choose to go with the (still) heavily priced surface book 2? Simply, the prospect of a graphics card. Besides the fact that the windows 1903 update rendered it useless for a few weeks, I am genuinely not impressed by the performance. I understand I wasn't buying a full scale GTX chip, but I still find my surface gets bogged down quite easily when very little is actually using the GPU's processing power. I want to believe this is because in all my wisdom I bought a year+ old device, but I'm not over here trying to stream the newest call of duty running 4k @ 2048 FPS on my twitch stream. Even with gigabit ethernet running through the USBC (also tested with A), letting the Nvidia GPU perform all the video encoding, I still get lockups and sometimes crashes when trying to livestream Clip Studio Paint or Photoshop. Even when the graphics card isn't having a panic attack, I find the experience I bought the device for simply lackluster as compared to other members of the surface family or competitor systems. In fact, whoever thought that not including a kickstand and instead force my neck to rely on this wobbly keyboard hinge needs to have their product design credentials revoked. I had to end up cutting down a piece of styrofoam to prevent my screen from moving when trying to do fine ink work. Sure I could flip the screen around and have it rest in "studio mode", but I prefer my neck not sounding like a bag of agitated pop-rocks when I need to design a conceptual piece for a client 6-10 hours a day. There are solutions around this, but the fact all the surface pro devices have a built in kickstand, there isn't a good enough reason in my eyes they couldn't offer the redundancy, or, release a performance base that works with the surface pros should you need the a graphics card attachment for whatever reason. In my experience, the surface book is made for no one in particular and thereby fails to impress anyone. I have seen plenty of favorable reviews when using this device as a pretty rudimentary platform, but as soon as you get into more niche audiences, the jack of all trades façade really starts to show its cracks. It is for all these reasons that I cannot justify a score higher than 2/5. It's fair -- just..... fair.

I am very pleased with the versatility of this laptop. It allows me to use it as a large screen tablet or in the traditional laptop configuration. I really like the large screen compared to other surface models. It was a great purchase.

I was saving up for this laptop to use for college and gaming and I can say I'm really satisfied w my purchase. It's high quality and all the different ways you can use it are really useful. It's just really portable, flexible, and powerful!

I bought this laptop to replace my MacBook Pro since I’ve heard only good things about it. Since the purchase, I’ve been extremely impressed with it. Very reliable and the I7 processor is delivering amazing speeds.

Microsoft knocked it out of the park with this one. Best of both worlds, good as a laptop and great as a tablet or convertible. Been using it non stop since I bought it, no complaints.

Purchased this awesome computer for work but find that I’m using it for personal use as well. Love how the screen detaches to turn it into a tablet. Would recommend going for the I7 model at minimum as the others are 7th generation i5s.

Power and Speed - the superhero of computers. Runs Windows 10 Pro. Quick and Snappy. Nothing wrong with this machine - more issues with the state of Windows 10 and its subpar bi-yearly update quality (kind of buggy).

I am so glad I followed the advice of the Best Buy employees and upgrades to this instead of a surface pro. This just feels more professional and runs so quickly it never exits applications the way my pro did.

Purchased this latop/tablet for my real estate career. I love the fact this can be used as a traditional laptop but also a tablet for showing clients listings on the go. Very happy with my purchase.
