My Mac Pro was becoming super slow and would shut down on me after a couple of hours of editing, now I'm able to put several hours of work with no inconveniences. The screen resolution is probably the best I've seen on a laptop. Disclaimer: This is Microsoft's version of a desktop computer that you could put in your lap. Do not expect this to be an extremely light and super slim laptop, it is a performance one.

I am a long time Mac user so making the switch has been extremely difficult and unusually harder since I am also a developer. However, having the whole screen act as a touch bar is way nicer than having just a touch bar lol.

Until it couldn't handle an external USB drive without overheating. Google told me Surface laptops can have an unsolvable problem with overheating. I decided to have only one external device, plus my USB mouse, attached at a time. It couldn't handle my phone or scanner being plugged into it. It started having problems wuth bluetooth so I disabled that. I went to only having my USB mouse connected. Then it started overheating when I uploaded data -- even if done via cable. I couldn't use it when it was plugged in. The only thing it did OK with was using an SD card. So now I have a very expensive fire hazard. It did pretty good for maybe 9 months. At 18 months it is dead. (I usually kept it on a metal stand with great airflow. This was the only place where peripherals were plugged in.)

Carefully research the port options as there is no DLP or HDMI out, only the USB-C. I purchased an adapter with 4 additional 3.0 USB ports and HDMI port and with an external Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, this laptop now replaces my antiquated desktop box.

It is so easy to take notes while simultaneously watching videos, reading content, etc., right from the computer. I haven't used Tablet mode much but laptop mode, presentation mode and studio love all come in very handy for various tasks. This was a pretty penny but for me, it was worth it!
