I upgraded from my Surface and I am blown away by the vivid and crisp screen quality. Also, the processor is very fast, I've had no lag on bringing up multiple programs and multiple screens in Google Chrome web browser. The only thing I dont like, and it may be personal, is the touchpad. But I use a wireless Logitech mouse. Also. I use Dragonspeak which works great. Love this laptop!

I mainly use my Surface Book for video conferencing, presentations, animation, design and leisure (movies, social media, etc.). The battery life is amazing, it's incredibly user friendly/intuitive and customization is excellent. I also travel a lot and it is on the heavier side but it doesn't bother me too much.

The Surface Book 2 is amazing! I purchased the i5 version but when the price dropped on the i7 version, I returned the i5 version and purchased the i7 version. This is one powerful machine. If you never tried any of the Surface products, you don’t know what you’re missing.

I bought this to replace my old MacBook, and it's been wonderful. I needed a PC to run some of the analytics software I like to use, and this Surface is fast and sturdy. It's also not too heavy, and I like being able to detach the screen and use it as a tablit.

The laptop is extremely fast and user friendly, every download or action I do is done faster on this pc than any other laptop I have used and any accommodation or personalization I want to modify I can quickly do through settings. Its design and detachable screen feature is clean and convenient.

This thing is fast, smooth and looks great too. Love the detachable screen/tablet mode. Have not experienced any of the issues of others users reporting battery issues or power supply issues. Zero complaints, I don’t even feel bad about the 2500 bones. now that im using it

I recently made the switch from Mac to PC. At first I was excited. Then the painful reminder of why I ran x86 on a 1st Gen Dell Vista. The good. The keyboard is on par with my previous 4 Macs (17", 2x 15", MacBook Air) The build quality if the machine is great. The Bad: the track pad was horrible several Google searches and a few MS forums and I found out that MS didn't have a fix and no other drivers would work. So I went out and bought a mouse. To be fair windows has done several updates since my June purchase and the trackpad does appear to work much better but I'm still using my mouse 90% of the time. More Bad: there seems to be a problem with the 256gb drives they are on the low end of Samsungs product line. Once the machine falls below 100gb write speeds fall way below 300. You can find an abundance post with a simple Google search that includes the model of the SSD drive. *This only seems to be an issue with the 256gb drive. Even More Bad: the power supply. I use the machine for graphic design, video editing and programming. Out of the box the power supply is under rated for the machine it's 102 watts and 7 of those watts are reserved for the USB port. Leaving 95 watts for the book. When you take in account that the CPU and GPU can eat up over 105 watts this means the supplied power supply is heavily under rated. So, when I'm editing videos I'll get a notice that the machine has gone from charging to depleting. To some this might not be a big deal. To me spending money on higher end gear should deliver a high end experience. At over 2k I would have been better off with my mid 2015 MacBook pro. I'm disappointed with my purchase the sales rep at my local best buy was a good guy, however under educated when it comes to product knowledge. Neither MS or geek squad have provided any value. I've been loyal to BB and have enjoyed the services I've received in the past. However this 2500 mistake is the cause of our break up. I replaced my 9 years old laptop with Microsoft Surface Book 2. It is very powerful and sleek. I use my laptop for school. It is easy to shift between multiple screens. In the other hand, I think it is a little overpriced. One can get a laptop that performs same and pay less. Also, after a month of use, the lid is not closing even. I

Just replaced my primary laptop. Actually this computer is more powerful than my desktop! It is great for video processing, and other processor intensive jobs. And when I relax, I can separate out the screen into a super-sized tablet! Worth the investment.

Love everything about this Surface Book 2. Crystal clear screen and battery lasts longer than any laptop that I have owned. Wished it came in different colors. I would recommend this computer to anyone if you need a powerhouse for your work.

I bought this for work to get the versatility of a laptop and a tablet. It works great! I have the processing power of most desktops (when attached to keyboard) and all day battery life. The arc mouse and surface pen are excellent additions as well.

Great machine for a mobile graphic designer. Windows has been a bit buggy. UI file picker issues and random program crashes. Overall, I am pleased with it. Get 5hrs or so out of battery running graphics software. Screen is very responsive with no lag while sketching.

We bought this for our college student for Graphic Designs. Easy to use with the pen and mouse that you can purchase to go with the computer. Light enough weight wise, easy to travel with and so far no complaints.

Switched from a 2016 MacBook pro and couldn't be happier. I couldn't stand the keys on the mackbook, but the surface book's typing experience is wonderful. It's a joy to type on. This thing handles anything I throw at it.

After debating (and saving) for six months, I finally purchased the Surface Book 2! Despite my previous laptop holding 650GB, I opted for the 256GB for a few reasons... 1.) Save money. I purchased a 400GB micro SD for additional storage to help save some money. 2.) Of all my files, I frequently use maybe...2 or 3 folders? Everything else stays on my 4TB external desktop hard drive, so I really have no need (currently) to dish out another $400 for the 516GB This laptop types flawlessly, which is fantastic for typing class notes and papers! I am in love with the screen, and the fact that it is detachable is wondrous for late-night reading in bed (a.k.a. homework assignments!!) In addition to wanting a laptop that is great for productivity, I also wanted one that was capable for gaming. I'm not a hard-core gamer, as I've not the time, but I do enjoy playing Final Fantasy XIV which the Surface Book 2 plays like a dream. With how well it handles gaming, I sort of wish I purchased the 516GB, but until I game a bit more frequently, I am quite content with the 256GB + 400GB micro SD. I do wish that the laptop came with the pen, though it is understandable as to why it is sold separately. I am looking forward to purchasing the pen, mostly to use for paper-editing. The Surface Book 2 is the lightest of the laptops I was looking at (HP Spectre, HP Envy, and Razer Blade 15), which is great for travelling. I am extremely satisfied with my purchase after eyeing it for six months, and I got it just in time for the new semester to begin. In all honesty, I think my next laptop after this will also be by Microsoft. I think I've finally found the PC company I like best.

This laptop is pricey and a bit large and heavy. However, it is ergonomic, fast, with enough ports to get my tasks done. The pen works great. The battery power is amazing. I can go a full day without needing a charge.

I am a bit of a nerd and have had many high end tablets and laptops. The Surface Book 2 is among top in my list of best, high performing tablet/notebooks. I was impressed how fast this laptop works with programs and the display is stunning. I do like the iPad Pro display a little more but this is darn close to it in color gamut and picture quality. I really loved using the Surface Dial with various apps, and even used it for scrolling more than I used the mouse wheel. It's that fluid and good. Microsoft, I must admit, is starting to reach even surpass the level of specifications of the MacBook Pros and this becomes a Tablet as well! It's not cheap, but well worth the money and it's a gorgeous notebook/tablet.

Overall performance of the systems meets my needs. The system is over priced especially considering the size of the solid state drive. If I had it all over, I would purchase a larger solid state drive. 256GB did not meet my needs. Had to purchase a 4TB external drive.

What an awesome laptop. Microsoft has been nailing it with surface's, and this has to be the best ever. Amazing screen, awesome battery life, my favorite laptop ever for photo editing.
