While the Surface Book 2 is nowhere near as portable it is still lightweight, relatively thin, and has the muscle to play the games I like to play. (Fortnite, Battletech, Champions Online). As a teacher I love that the 15" screen is large enough that I can work on two different apps snapped to either side of the screen and not have to zoom in like I did on my old tablet. And Windows Hello is spoiling me. I like that I can simply sit down and look at the screen and be logged in while never having to worry about a kid watching me log in and getting my password. The added cost of a touchscreen was something I wasn't sure I wanted to pay, but I am happy I did. Quickly zooming into different pictures or trying out interactive SMART Note files before I go live with them with my class, what I thought was an expensive luxury is now something I can't imagine living without. Battery life is perfect for a 12 hour day as a teacher. Enter grades while listening to music, running PowerPoint presentations or SMART Note files, playing videos or songs, and emails, all through wifi.

Nice Machine

This machine is very portable. The fact that it turns into a tablet with a push of the button is great! It doesn't fold over like some other models, the screen "pops off". The geek squad converted my old laptop items to my new laptop. They did a great job!! Overall an easy transition to a new machine!

Main reason I went w/ Microsoft-based product is the ease I can interface w work computer/programs (though using only older microsoft explorer, NOT the microsoft edge). And for work I pretty much always use this as a laptop. But I also love having the ability to use this as a tablet for personal use.

Replacement work computer

My first I bought a couple years ago and it was working great until I spilled coffee on it. The geek squad stated it was a lost cause and because I had the extended warranty they gave me store credit which I used to purchase this updated surface book 2 with the 15” screen. I love this computer especially the larger screen.

15" Surface Book 2

It is a bit heavy (for me) with the keyboard. But when the keyboard is detached-the screen to tablet capability is AMAZING!! The screen has amazing clarity and is lightweight. I recommend this product if you're looking for a larger laptop screen with detachable keyboard!
