    I recently made the switch from Mac to PC. At first I was excited. Then the painful reminder of why I ran x86 on a 1st Gen Dell Vista. The good. The keyboard is on par with my previous 4 Macs (17", 2x 15", MacBook Air) The build quality if the machine is great. The Bad: the track pad was horrible several Google searches and a few MS forums and I found out that MS didn't have a fix and no other drivers would work. So I went out and bought a mouse. To be fair windows has done several updates since my June purchase and the trackpad does appear to work much better but I'm still using my mouse 90% of the time. More Bad: there seems to be a problem with the 256gb drives they are on the low end of Samsungs product line. Once the machine falls below 100gb write speeds fall way below 300. You can find an abundance post with a simple Google search that includes the model of the SSD drive. *This only seems to be an issue with the 256gb drive. Even More Bad: the power supply. I use the machine for graphic design, video editing and programming. Out of the box the power supply is under rated for the machine it's 102 watts and 7 of those watts are reserved for the USB port. Leaving 95 watts for the book. When you take in account that the CPU and GPU can eat up over 105 watts this means the supplied power supply is heavily under rated. So, when I'm editing videos I'll get a notice that the machine has gone from charging to depleting. To some this might not be a big deal. To me spending money on higher end gear should deliver a high end experience. At over 2k I would have been better off with my mid 2015 MacBook pro. I'm disappointed with my purchase the sales rep at my local best buy was a good guy, however under educated when it comes to product knowledge. Neither MS or geek squad have provided any value. I've been loyal to BB and have enjoyed the services I've received in the past. However this 2500 mistake is the cause of our break up. Please excuse any grammatical errors as I'm typing this from my phone while I reset this expensive paper weight for the 3rd time

    I ended up returning it

    I returned this item after encountering some problems, mostly with the Facebook app. The app crashed several times while uploading pictures. Some of the pics uploaded while others didn’t (in random order) and I had to go back in and try to figure out which ones were missing and do it over again. This happened consistently over a few weeks. The web browser also crashed on me a couple times. I was pretty frustrated and decided to return the item. For the amount this computer costs I didn’t want to deal with issues like that. I ended up with an iPad Pro and an MSI laptop that runs Windows and now I don’t have those problems. If everything had worked the way it was supposed to I probably would have been happy with this laptop.

    I couldn't turn it ON

    Purchased a brand new one on 04/28/2018 . I came back to my house and tried to set it up but the laptop refused to turn on. I tried re-starting it multiple times by long pressing the turn ON/OFF key + Volume Up key but nothing happened . The laptop got overheated when it turned on finally and also the screen froze for like an hour . I took it to the nearby BestBuy store on the same day and yet to receive my new one . I just hope it works and doesn't endup like the last one. I never really expected this from a laptop which is worth $2300 approx. I can provide more details of my purchase if needed .

    Too many issues

    I researched this same unit and read many reviews, so I gave it a try and was disappointed with the many issues it had....wouldn't detach the screen, received overheat icon randomly, couldn't use the Nvidia card for my art software when detached....the system didn't even SEE it had the Nvidia card, no keyboard shortcuts once detached, consumed more power than that the charger couldn't keep up with....a plethora of issues. Returned it.

    Great Design Poor Execution

    I loved the design and in general the overall concept I guess. The screen was INCREDIBLE, graphics were great, and hardware was thin and quiet. What I couldn’t get past was the glitchiness between process changes from dock to undock, the software app crashes and screen freezes from switches processes and lastly the touch response time while undocked from the computer.

    The sales staff at the local Best Buy told me everything that I wanted to hear just so they could get a sale. After using it for a couple of weeks and doing some research I figured out that many of those things they said were lies. After reading accounts of cracked screens from overheating, I wanted to purchase some kind of warranty or protection, but it was never offered and now it is too late. Terrible service.

    Not sure if the issue is with Microsoft or the stocks in best buy but the first laptop I got would not power on at all. Went to the store and exchanged. After a few days, I found that the spacebar was weirdly misaligned. Really wanted to love this laptop, it's amazingly built but until Microsoft figures out the QC issues I won't be buying yet.

    Poor Design

    Although the removable keyboard is a convenient feature, it is prone to problems. The contacts in the keyboard attachment wear out from attaching and detaching the keyboard requiring repair.

    I paid a pretty penny for this device and was expecting a smooth experience. I am a programmer an often times this device just cannot handle the calculations conducted or take to long to compute.
