I bought this for my daughter to take to college. She needed a powerful laptop for college and she also plays a few games. It's light and powerful, perfect for a college student. She uses it to take notes in most classes. The battery life cannot be beat!

This is an amazing "laptop"!! The power, speed, and features make this one of the best business tools I have every owned. I wish Urban Armour or some other company made a shell/case for the 15" though. Just have to be extra careful with it.

We bought this computer for our son who needed a high quality laptop for his art graphics design classes. He is a first year college student and the school encouraged students to buy Mac Book Pros, but my husband and I felt the Surface Book offered much more for a better price. We love the fact that it's a touch screen and he can draw out his designs using the stylus. The detachable screen was a big deciding factor when comparing it to the Mac Book and we loved that the screen could be flipped around. It's very fast loading these large graphic programs. We bought the top model for the hard drive space. Highly recommend for serious art and graphic design students.

Been looking for a great laptop that I could do my designing on. It's so fast and smooth. Renders fast. I've had no problems with it at all. Little pricey but you get what you pay for defenitly.

This is indeed a laptop/tablet, but is a true desktop replacement with its power, speed, and capabilities. Also, it doesn't overheat and the touchscreen with Surface pen works great!

would recommend this lap top for its compact travel and two and one capability and battery life. the processing speed is excellent to support several applications at once

I'm a Designer, and making the switch from Apple wasn't easy, but I'm glad I did. Easy to use, long battery life, good range of available programs.

I have been an Apple customer for many years. A few years ago i switched to running Windows on my Mac because the software I needed was not available for Apple OS. I became very comfortable with the windows environment and needed to upgrade my current machine. I considered buying a Mac Book Pro and just installing Windows 10 again because I love the feel of apple hardware. It feels solid. The only machine that could match the power and feel of the Mac was the Surface Book Pro. Its only been a couple of weeks, but I've been very satisfied so far.

Incredibly happy so far with the Microsoft Surface Book 2. Very easy to setup, light weight, and can handle what I need for graphic design. Only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because i haven't had it very long.

If you need a hybrid of a semi-decent gaming pc and a professional work/school type laptop, this is definitely the laptop to get. My first laptop came with a screen defect by manufacture and that required me to return to best buy for an exchange. Best buy returned the shipping fee and used the fastest method to get me the exchange. The new laptop is flawless and beautiful. The 1060 can throw a few punches with triple A titles without lag. Definitely one of the best looking portable, school/work type laptop.

This is my fourth Microsoft Surface product. Thus far it is the nicest one. I use it in meetings to take notes, then return to desk to plug it up and use as my desktop.

This computer has the portability to replace a tablet, the power of a gaming PC and unrivaled productivity. I would highly recommend the surface book.

The surface book 2 has high quality graphics and the intel core 7 is able run any program smoothly, however the 15 inch model seems over excessive with its heavy weight just to deliver a bigger screen. It is a hassle to carry which limits an individual’s mobility who is on the go. The touch screen seems unnecessary since the tablet mode is difficult to navigate and use. Although it lacks in convienince and ease in transportation it delivers the performance every student could want and any individual who desires such a laptop for its high performance.

I needed power, portability and also function. I use this for work, play and also family needs. This laptop checks all the boxes and is probably the most practical laptop but also the best I've ever had. It does what it's suppose to do and does it in the most efficient way possible. It's flexible yet able to play games, edit and the screen quality is amazing. In my opinion it does the whole laptop thing much better than any Apple laptop. This is a no brainer.

Beautiful display with a fantastic pen experience (I bought the pen separately). Plays most modern games without issue.

This laptop is the fastest, most versatile computer I've ever owned. The display is bright, with glorious color and incredible depth of field. It's perfect for computer art, photo enhancement and pretty much anything else any personal computer is used for (and it does it better) I do have one complaint, to wit: the cursor jumps randomly in typing, often deleting text (sometimes entire pages), or pasting it over earlier text.

This is a powerful and compact computer. Great for a student or professional.

I am in love with this computer! I have owned HP products for a long time and have been constantly disappointed. Even with my HP Spectre x360 from 2015. I finally had enough money to take the leap to Surface and I do not regret it! Worth every penny! The material is stunning and has a wonderful feel and the full size keyboard is the perfect size and a really comfortable experience. My biggest concern was the infamous gap between the clipboard screen and the keyboard but this is probably the most durably engineered part of the computer. I am a full-time graduate student with a handful of part-time jobs and this thing has changed the way I do work. Having the ability to annotate PDFs and documents with the pen just like you would on a regular piece of paper is my favorite part about this device. The large screen lets me multitask extremely well and I am loving aspect ratio far more than I thought I would. The battery is large enough to last me a full day and the track-pad is a dream. The small details like that really change my experience here. I was able to play Rise of the Tomb Raider at max setting and it was able to play it fairly well. There was a moment where things were very intense and I had to turn down the graphic settings a touch (turn the 4k down to 2k). The quality is outstanding and it JUST WORKS without having to constantly mess with setting or anything. This is honestly the best use of my money (even though I think it is wildly expensive - but you really are getting what you pay for) and I know its going to last me a very long time.
