Very please with power and performance of this laptop. With 16GB of RAM and 512GB SSD will not be needing any other computer. Do have one minor issue that once you separate the keyboard you must make to reattach firmly otherwise the scroll pad will not work.

Finally a Nice PC

It's fast, not a bunch of junk to slow down, and was surprised how quickly my pictures downloaded from the card onto the PC. I would highly recommend this to any wanting a PC. A little pricy, but then you get what you pay for.

Excellent Laptop

I had the original Book and it was great but this 15" screen is so much better. I also like the fact of how the data is now stored versus the hybrid way it did in the last one. Can't say enough good things but be warned...it will set you back some cash but was worth it for me in my business and justified!

Face recognition works great! Love the solid state hard drive. I travel often and the Surface Book 2 is the perfect size and very lightweight. Couldn't ask for more. Would highly recommend.

I have owned Surface products in the past and have been quite satisfied. I love the flexibility between a tablet and a laptop, the Surface Pen, the sleek look of the product and the dedicated graphic card!

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had the Surface book 2 i5 13" 8GB RAM for over a year and, was very happy with it, but I am a developer and with visual studio, SQL Server SSMS and a few other tools, it slowed way down. I know i should have gone for the more ram and faster processor on the first round. but, alas hind sight is 20-20 This was my goal with the 15" 512GB SSD and 16GB RAM i7 processor. I am so frustrated now though, what was a great laptop/tablet, has now become a curling iron for me. If i use any application with the discrete internal 1060 NVIDIA adapter the keyboard is within minutes so hot i need to put something between it and my lap. I set chrome to use it, and opened up a website and just sat the laptop on a book on my bed next to me. Within 5 mins it was super hot, and i know that running it this hot will not make for a long relationship with my tablet as it will die a quick death running that hot consistently. The slower laptop ran better for me but to be honest i must have 16 GB RAM and i7 at least processor. I will take this back tomorrow and hope for a defective item but as i read the reviews my fears are already confirmed by other reviewers, and other articles i have googled. Sadly i went from an evangelist of this product to a total dissatisfied customer in the 10 days i have owned it. I have ran the Surface tool, and done all the updates, and verified all the drivers. Basically there is no air vent for the Fan in the keyboard and it is just too hot to run the 4k screen from what i have seen. All the other aspects of the tablet are a plus, the windows pro, the comfortable keyboard, the back light, the beautiful screen, and even the detatch process. The design is rock solid. If i could use the 1060 Graphics adapter with its ram, i would be happy beyond measure.

The base provides the graphics horsepower you'll need. only 4 stars because the USB-C is not Thunderbolt, come on Microsoft...get with the times.

My old computer was not fast enough which made it a painful task to edit my 4K GoPro footage. Paired with the Microsoft pen - this will take care of my computing needs for years to come.

I like the pen part though I am not an illustrator, pen enough to create concepts on screen with leverage. It was processor upgrade too.

It’ll be hard to regress after using this kind of luxury. I’ve used adobe Premier and it runs exceptionally well
