This is my second surface book. Great laptop, fast,great screen quality, light weight.

Bought this for my daughter to replace her old Surface chrome. The difference is pretty amazing. It is much faster, and has more memory obviously, but just the feel of the Surface Book over the chrome is remarkable. It is a bit heavier, but still very manageable for a young girl. The ability to use it as both a laptop and a tablet is something that she has found very useful.

Its a good laptop but pricey and the pen is separate.

I bought to replace a book 2 that I dropped and was still usable for months using a paper clip to push the internal power button on until it won't take a charge. It turned out two chargers were the problem! These computers have a steel case and are the most durable laptops I've ever used. I have two other larger ones for my mobile business also.

Some minor issues: The detatch/attach doesn't always work correctly, and sometimes while I'm working it says it makes the detach/attach noise randomly. While the screen quality is great, I am used to normal laptops with anti-glare, so the reflections are a bit to get used to. The edge of the computer where my wrists sit is a bit sharp, and typing for a long time becomes uncomfortable. The major issue: While the camera is great for zoom calls, the screen is not. After 3 hrs of meetings, the screen froze, turned streaky, and then wouldn't restart. Shutting off the computer and restarting a minute or two later resulted in a temperature symbol - I tried again a half hour later, and everything seems fine now. However, it is concerning that the screen has a tendency to overheat with use. If this had happened in the return period, I would have returned this device.

Would have been nice to have 1 TB SSD but the 512GB is good enough when I use OneDrive for saving my documents. This machine is very responsive and fast. Definitely would recommend it for everyday work use. Really like the small size as compared to the Dell laptop I had.

The overall design is very nice. You can't perform any upgrades without destroying and replacing the screen. Buy what you need, because you won't save money later upgrading. The overall device integration is dynamic with windows 10. The nvidia gpu is great for graphics but not gaming. Do not purchase this laptop for gaming.... it will require a reinstall of windows to find the nvidia card again. There are cheaper laptops for gaming purposes. I owned this laptop for 3 days and figured a $2600 laptop should not need me to troubleshoot gpu existence issues. It literally says nvidia graphics card could not be found until I recovered and reinstalled windows after fortnite was played.

Nice feature having the detachable screen. Was looking at another computer, however it was not in stock and would be a wait. Went with this one for that reason, but have been pleased with the features and performance. My daughter does a lot of drawing so it has been great for that.

This laptop is capable of much more than I actually need. It has more features than I will ever learn to use. It really is very nice I enjoy it tremendously. I did not give it five stars because I have not had it long enough to judge all it’s features.

I brought this home, loaded it up (simple process) with my different software and whatnot. Very easy. This machine is not only sexy as heck, it is solid. I've never felt a finer laptop. However, in the end, with the pandemic closure of campuses, I couldn't justify the price and so returned it the next day. But I want one again. Hopefully soon!

I purchased this mainly for artwork and graphics. I love that you can use the surface pen with photoshop to sketch right on the screen. There is almost no tracking so it feels like you are drawing on paper. The hinge design, the way the screen pops off the keyboard is awesome. The only thing I would change is to expand the range of the hinge.

A little bit on the heavy side. My unit has problems with the connection of keyboard base and screen, constant USB plug-in and un-plug sounds, so it is going back. Otherwise solid notebook with unfortunately only 10th generation Intel processors available.

This is my 2nd Surface Book. I decided to upgrade from the 1st Gen model I got 5 years ago. I was surprised at how sturdy these laptops are. I travel a lot and constantly throw them in an d out of my bag. It multitasks like a dream, and even handles some minor video and photo editing and rendering.
