Wether it’s all the accessories, the fact that you can detach the screen and use it as a tablet, or the fact that it’s powerful and portable, this is one of the best laptops I’ve ever used. I can even use this thing for moderate 3D work and it’s a 10th of the size of my gaming laptop. Absolutely worth the purchase.

We had to return one because we kept getting a blue screen on start up. 2nd one seems to be much better. We've had the slim pen stop working with the touch screen a few times. Overall a great purchase.

So far this laptop seems very high quality. I love how the screen detaches and becomes a powerful tablet. Since the screen is heavy for the tablet purpose, I do notice some wobbling in the screen when it is being used as a laptop. I am overall happy with the purchase so far!

This laptop is great for getting almost any task done. It has enough power to run almost any program. My main complaint about it is the battery for me was not as advertised. I was getting a little above 5 hours of battery life doing simple tasks but Microsoft advertised 10+. This problem might be my laptop specifically but I returned it because of this issue. Other than that it is great the high resolution screen looks amazing. The keyboard was the best typing experience I have ever had it actually made me want to type. The tablet would get a little hot if you used it aside from the keyboard. Overall its a good laptop just be careful when it comes to battery life.

This is the 2nd Surface Book that I have owned and I am very pleased with its performance and reliability. The keyboard has just the right amount of key travel to make the typing experience satisfying. I use this laptop for work and it easily handles having multiple programs open.

I purchased this computer for starting college and I couldn't be happier, I've been taking a few summer courses and have yet to really test it with school programs like CAD but I've played a few games on it and it runs like a dream, and if you have a pen, perfect to take notes with.

We got this computer for my daughter to use for school and assumed it would be good based on reviews and it being Microsoft hardware and software, they should know their stuff. Well, it is a piece of trash, the computer froze after 3 weeks, once the battery drained and we recharged it went back to normal. On day 32 of ownership, my daughter received the Microsoft blue screen mid class. For $1800, I expected the quality of similarly priced software/hardware developer products. No such luck, so now it is the most expensive paperweight we have ever purchased. Giving it 1 star is mandatory, I'd rather give it a half star.

I had a first generation for a long time and moved up to a #3. Wow, same comfortable key board but feels stronger and faster. Style may need update but it's the work that gets done that makes it great.

It is exactly what I need. This 2-in-1 laptop is the best convertible for those who need to use it as a laptop more often. And when used as a tablet it does still feel like one since the keyboard can be completely detached. The only issue I had so far is every one or few weeks I need to restart it in order for it to respond normally. But that should be a software issue i.e., you could have that issue on any other device that runs same Microsoft software.

Surface Book 3 is certainly unique, as it’s always been, with the tablet functionality. Due to this and it’s small size this laptop is pretty good at everything but at the same time not the best at anything in particular. If you don’t need the tablet functionality then there are definitely stronger competitors out there that are more affordable. If you want or need the tablet functionality then this is the only option, especially with the 1080p front facing camera.

just bought this to replace the Surface Book 2, very similar computer, much faster and better. i am only rating this one star short because i had to return the first one because there was a manufacturer defect with the speakers, and it gave a high pitched shrill sound and was unusable. Replaced it a Best Buy with no hassle and good to go. However, that aside, I LOVE THIS THING.
