I needed a laptop and have always wanted a tablet I could draw on. This has been the best purchase to cover those two things. It functions great. Everything works seemlessly. I purhcased this laptop only a few months ago so I'm sure I have many parts of it to explore as yet. I love knowing the keyboard is safely under the tablet screen when I have it folded. The battery life is amazing. Love the magnetic power cord feature!

Battery not holding up as well as Surface Book 2 that preceded it (same size screen, similar processor and ram configuration). Worked well for college needs. There are probably more cost-effective options out there.

Love my Surface Book!

The sales person was very helpful and listened to what I was looking for. When I mentioned that I wanted something that serves as a laptop, but offered the convenience of a tablet, he suggested Surface Book with the removable screen. It’s exactly what I needed. Easy set up too.

Use it every day for all of my business and personal computing needs. Have used it both as laptop and notebook, but primarily as laptop. Use it with pen and port replicator for 5 USB connections including optical mouse, full keyboard, additional monitor and Thumb drives with data

If you don't need a laptop convertible, then I would strongly consider the newer Surface Pro 8 that do have the latest Intel CPU and ability to have external GPU.
