I was looking to connect 2 monitors, camera, and some other items I have. It's was extremely easy to set up I just wish the power cord to the Surface was slightly longer. Overall I'm happy it's just pricey for what it is.

This dock makes my Surface Pro 4 function as a stand-alone PC. I can use additional USB ports, but beware of the fact the DisplayPort (DP) is the only video option provided. I had to purchase a DP to DVI converter the next day.

This latest surface dock is the best by far, small, compact, and out of the way. All you could ask for and handles DP 1.2 passthrough for up to 3 compatible monitors off of one video connection.

Dock is well designed and has all connections necessary for multiple peripherals: monitors, keyboards, printers, etc. Well made and does not get too hot when under power for a long duration.

needed a way to charge my Surface, attach my back up drive and other items. Did not like the idea of plugging and unplugging cables. This was a great simple way to accomplish all. Well worth the price..

I was hesitate to spend the $, but the increased speed achieved via a hard wire connection made it worthwhile, plus the options to add other products to this docking station is a plus too!

We use this for our surface pro. We plug the changing cord in and it connects it to the computer monitor and the Kerry board and mouse. It’s pretty cool and easy to set up.

I've had no problems with the Surface Dock. I wished the Surface Pro had more ports so I wouldn't need to buy this Dock. The Dock has plenty of different ports and charges my Pro as well. Works fine.

I like the docking station and it does just what I needed it to. The only con is the weight. It is a bit heavy and that's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. I would recommend this docking station.

I got this for work to dock my surface. I also got an Acer monitor to go with it. I love it and it's nice having "dual monitors" with using the surface as an extended monitor and the Acer as my primary.

This dock was extremely easy to setup and is very easy to install accessories. The only downfall is that it does not have an HDMI port. I had to purchase and adapter for my monitor.

Attach all your desktop items to this dock and all you have to do is attach one connector to your Surface. Easy to detach and go if you're running late for a meeting or class.

I use my docking station with a television with an HDMI port to have an extra monitor and to increase my number of available USB ports. Works great, and I’ve had no issues!

Through the docking station you're able to add 2 extra monitors to extend your Book screen. If you need another one 3rd one, I recommend buying USB to HDMI or to whatever your 3rd screen can accept.

The surface dock is easy to setup and use. Generally works smoothly, every once in awhile my external monitors don't turn on, though this seems more like a software problem and is usually resolved with a reboot

Great product to leave those stationary plugs tied in like the monitor, USB, audio plug. Just plug in power and good to go. I'll he getting one for the home office next!

Upgraded to the Surface Pro 4 and new dock from prior version/model. Like the size and ability to connect dual monitors without additional adapters, but Microsoft needs to upgrade firmware to prevent random on screen popups.

This dock makes it easy to connect everything when I come back to my office. I have my monitor, keyboard, mouse, and large external drive all easily connected with one simple attachment. Love it.

had to return surface book after buying this docking station because the usb ports would keep disconnecting. exchanged doc for new one thinking it was the problem but issue continued with new docking station so I took book to microsoft and bestbuy and both couldn't figure it out but to say I needed to rest my book. they figure it was a software problem. decided I didn't want to do this since all the software on the book was what I needed and didn't want to have to do with out any of them. Therefore, as I said not sure if this docking station was good or bad but as far as it working as a charger it did work well.

Works very well as intended just not sure how much added benefit I get. I have it so I have more ports but only use one port at a time right now...
