The surface dock does exactly what it says it will. Great for using the surface book around the house and being able to sit back down at my desk and my monitor when I need it.

If you are getting the Surface Book 2 and work in the office, this dock is a must! Has multiple ports and about any option used need with multiple monitors.

I bought a Surface Pro and didn't realize it didn't have a network port and only had one USB port. This docking station adds the network port and several USB ports! A must have!

I bought this docking station to increase the capabilities of my SP4 turning it into a low-end workstation. It has plenty of connectivity to drive a couple of 4K displays, several USB devices, etc. Works great.

For me this device is AWESOME. However, it's not w/o its issues... The USB ports on the back of the dock brick are too close together. For that matter, most all of the ports on the back of the brick are placed too closely together making it difficult to use all plugs at once. Otherwise, I have no other real complaints pertaining to this specific device. My desktop icons are still getting messed up when I disconnect and reconnect my SP3 to the dock - which is a real pain. :( But since I needed to give my low-end gaming laptop to my mom b/c she needed a new laptop, this dock saved me money by circumventing the necessity to purchase an entirely new laptop for either one of us. Yay.

It is not as nice as the docking stations with the integrated port that the laptop docks to, but it does the job. At least since it is made by Microsoft, you know it will work with the Surface.

Allows me to use with 21 in monitor, external backup drive, printer and other external devices with one plug in to surface pro as well as charging the surface pro.

Easy to use, i run two external monitors. Nice to have my desktop set up plug and play ready. As with most things MS, it is a bit expensive....

This surface dock is a great bridge for the surface and is required for any external devices that you want to connect like a mouse or thumbdrive.

Good hub for the MS Surface so you don't have to keep plugging and unplugging components. Takes up very little desk space. Works well. Easy to set up.

I am a big fan of the surface pro however the lack of HDMI inputs can always make it challenging I purchased this product for my desktop application and it works great

Purchased the Microsoft dock, so that we are able to switch from viewing the screen on our Microsoft Surface, to viewing it on our computer screen, etc. with ease.

Had a glitch one day where the display adapter stopped working, was able to fix it by unplugging the power cable and letting it power cycle. Not worth the $200 list price, but best buy price matches

Bought this for my wife's SurfaceBook. Have not used it yet, but it is made for the SurfaceBook and has several useful ports. A colleague has one and it works great.

Having the dock made setting up my new Surface Pro i5 computer and monitor absolutely easy. That is very important to someone who is not terribly computer literate.

Very handy accessories to expand the capabilities of your Surface. I don't really see enough value to justify a $200 price. Wish there was third party options, but I am satisfied with my purchase.

This is a must have for Surface owners who want to work at a desk on a larger monitor. Very easy to dock in and out. This is a great improvement over the original dock.

This dock is great, I highly recommend it if you are purchasing the SP4! I have it set up in multiple locations and it makes plugging in and getting to work a quick process!

My surface would die when I used it at work unless I kept it charged. The dock helped charger it faster for some strange reason and gave me access to more ports! The connector to the surface pro is much thicker and stronger. The dock let’s me plug my monitor right into it so that when. Charge the monitor comes on. Basically it saves me a port.
