||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The reason for my three stars is because this is an expensive piece of equipment and it doesn't live up to it's price. The design is low standard. The cord that goes from the dock to the Surface should have been longer. It also should have come with various types of HD or VGA adaptors to suit the users' monitors. If the dock was $30 then I would understand. But when it is over $100 it should have come with adaptor choices. I do like that the power connector that also works as the monitor extension.

It performs as expected with quick hook up to my 2 current monitors, one of which is an older VGA and the other a HDMI connection. After getting the converters for those connections the installation was quick, painless plug-n-play. Haven't had any issues using my monitors, mouse or full size keyboard thru this docking station. If you're going to do document comparison or any other work where two or more monitors are needed this is a good solution. I use my Surface Pro for everything and haven't needed any other computer since.

Even if you need one that it doesn’t have there are adapters you can purchase for it. Perfect docking station for the surface pro and would definitely recommend if your looking for a docking station that has it all. Good buy and good value.

The dock does not hold Surface in place, it would be nice to have a dock, actually dock the surface and automatically begin charging the tablet. This dock has a separate power cord which has to be plugged into the surface. Also, the video input attaches from a cable which has to be bought separately for around 40 dollars each, depending on what type of monitor you are plugging into. If you have a HDMI at home and a different type of monitor at work, that's 2 different cables you need to buy at about 40 bucks each.
