Dock is nice

It would've been nice if this expensive 'dock' had more usable ports like HDMI. It's sturdy but my only complaint about the surface as my business work computer is the number of cables, attachments etc that I have to carry with me just to make work. It makes me miss my computer docking station but is what it is until Microsoft figures it out.

Pleasantly surprised

It gives me a lot of flexibility with my desk space. I was surprised with the lack of power output the usb ports are capable of. I can't charge my phone off of the satellite ports but it will let me use the usb port on the surface itself. I have a surface pro 4. Pretty insignificant issue for me.
