It is heavy enough that it remains in place on the desk. I simply get my Surface close to the cable, and it attaches itself. Then the keyboard, mouse and any other USB device is ready. I use a separate 27" monitor which adds a lot too.

Does exactly what it was supposed to do

I plugged this in and it worked great. I am a little miffed that Microsoft has proprietary plug ins and that they didn't go with something more universal to other laptops for the power supply to the Surface but you cant have everything. I love the Surface other than that

I have mine plugged into an Apple Cinema display (pre thunderbolt) with a wireless keyboard and mouse. The ability to turn my surface into a full fledged workstation is one of the best things I ever did. Dont mind the price tag, it's worth every cent.

Good addition to my Surface Book, but...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the size and the single connection to the SurfaceBook, but there's one complaint. While it has 4 USB connections, unlike most docking stations, each USB connection seems to use an additional separate USB resource for the laptop rather than having a single USB resource for the entire station. Limits how many things really can be plugged in at the same time.
