PROS: Nice hardware. The battery life is good, sound is good and the screens are delightful. The screens are high resolution and bright. The ability to easily move apps on the screens is nice. The unit performs well -- very crisp opening applications and playing movies. All the apps I want are on Android so that is great. CONS: Android is a cumbersome OS after using iOS for many years. No Apple Messages (so my friends all hate me) and no iTunes/Apple Music. I can't live without Apple Messages.

Excellent Phone by Microsoft, an extreme upgrade from the original Microsoft Surface Duo. There are still things that can be added to the new Microsoft Surface Duo 2 like a front screen that would help from opening the phone all the time and would allow you to answer calls, check your messages and so on. I must say, I am totally happy with my Microsoft Duo 2. I've been an iPhone user since day one but when I received my Duo 2 I was extremely happy with its performance can't ask for better. Hinges are solid and smooth working, displays are amazing, running Android 11 feels awesome too.

There's a marked improvement over generation 1 - however, from a hardware perspective I feel this device is a letdown. Three things stuck out to me using this over a week of use - the lack of the ability to lay it flat, the lack of wireless charging and the screen is somehow more fragile i.e. developed a hairline scratch with zero abuse.

Vast improvement over previous generation. Wireless charging should be on next rev if this clicks with enough people know what it's designed to do and does brilliantly. If MS changes the underlying OS or chip, doesn't matter, It's an inanely great productivity tool for the MS App stack and other Android apps devloped for the form factor. A few more compatible accessories would be nice and Ya know, why not Windows? as long as it makes it more - here it comes - MDM friendly with MS management.

Coming from the Duo 1 I can say it is much less glitchy. I really enjoy this form factor, don't know that I want to go back to a single screen. The Duo 2 feels much sturdier than the 1 and I am liking that. I go all day on the battery unless I am spending way too much time on screen. The camera is much easier to use than the one and better quality. The camera is not as good as my wifes iphone but I feel it is acceptable. I bought it after the price drop.

I absolutely love this phone. The build quality is premium and there are so many ways to use it. It is a productivity machine! I would recommend it to anyone who likes a larger phone and one that can multi-task.

After owning the first surface duo this second generation has improved and is now something to be considered as a daily driver. Decent battery life, cameras are good to go and the software experience is much better after a couple of updates. I'm loving this phone and would recommend it to anyone who likes to multi-task and use two apps as the same time.

One must thing of this as a "dual screen computer setup" instead of a folding screen. Once you get that type of workflow in your daily life, it is very difficult to go back to a single screen.

The phone deserves 4 Stars, but the last Microsoft update dropped it to 3 stars. Read on...my first Duo (Duo 1) had its issues, but I loved the form factor so much that I could not get a single screen phone again. I am torn between giving this 3 stars or 4. The Duo 1 was a cool phone, but I could not recommend it to others. I became so used to having 2 screens, that when I felt a single screen phone, I had to get the Duo 2. After the first 2 updates, the Duo 2 was a vast improvement in usability, touch response, camera...I received an update at the end of February and it feels like the Duo 1. I am having constant issues. I live with it though hoping that the March update will cure it. Overall I still really enjoy the phone. My girlfriend has the Duo 2 and her last update has not had issues. Not sure why. Hers is 128, mine is the 256, but you would not think that would make a difference.

Nice, albeit chunky, device that has the best form factor for multi-tasking. I'm not a fan of the camera bump as it makes taking pictures awkward, but everything else about the design is nice. Unfortunately, I had to dock several stars due to a hardware defect with the hinge that causes one screen to stop responding to touch when changing orientations. I tried to return device during the return period but was denied for no reason. Don't recommend buying this device at Best Buy since exchanging / refund is not possible regardless of policy. Having traded in a working phone for this is doubly painful.

This phone/computer is great for multitasking when it comes to my business. I love being able to have 2 apps open at the same time with no switching back and forth.

After purchasing this Microsoft Surface Pro Duo 2 5G 256GB (un;ocked) from Best Buy, I can recommend both Best Buy as well as this tablet without any reservations. The buying experience from Best Buy has been exceptional and noteworthy. This is especially true when compared to other retail stores. That being said, I had to return this item because the Sim card holder failed to release. One critique I have about Best Buy is the the 2 week return policy while others offer 30 day return.

After buying and returning the Duo 1 three times and then buying and returning the Duo 2 twice, I'm finally ready to keep and use this device. It works consistently well and I really enjoy the form factor. While I'm sure there are some software issues out there, I'm having no issues at all. There's a bit of a learning curve but the use is consistent so you get used to the way the device works. If you dive in, you need to take some time to learn how things react and once you have that understood, things work great.

Switched from the iphone and Im not regretting it. Great for multi tasking and the the photography is an upgrade from last years model.

Owner of previous model Surface Duo. This version fixes all of the problem areas of the last version: this version has great camera, NFC for Google Pay, speed, less buggy, Android 11. It takes a while to get used to, but productivity is awesome: reading email on one screen, web browsing or watching movie on the other. I love this device. I can never go back to a single screen phone again!

I bought the Surface Duo 2 and I am very pleased with it's features and performance. This was a replacement for my Lumia 735 windows phone that I have had since 2014. I purchased the Surface Duo 2 on the Best Buy website and it arrived within a couple days. It was easy to set up and use. I will be ordering more items from Best Buy soon. Very happy with my new phone and with Best Buy.

I haven't use it long enough to provide a good review. It has some features I do love, but sometimes I get a kittke confuse with it. Eventually I'll get use to it and comprehend it well.
