A perfect addition to the Surface line
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Microsoft tried to do a smaller Surface with the Surface 3, but this is the true answer for a small Windows device. I have wanted a Windows 10 device this size for a couple years but nothing was up to the task. Depending on what you're using this for, and what your previous computer is, you will find this to be a great device that is awesomely portable. Unfortunately, I was coming to this from a faster 14" laptop, so the Go really wasn't for me. The size didn't outweigh the lesser speed. A year ago,, I would have been thrilled, and I'm looking for Microsoft to beef up the specs on this one in the next release. I wound up returning mine, but if there's a speed/performance upgrade I'll look at it again.

Surface Go
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My husband bought me a Surface for Christmas the year they were introduced to the market. I have had it for several years, and have used it for countless projects for work, school, and my personal life. It has traveled to many exciting places with me! It still works great, but I was ready for an upgrade with more RAM and memory. I like my Surface so much, I decided to by the Surface Go! So far, I love it!

Insane value
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 8gb model is a great travel computer that weighs virtually nothing compared to other laptops. I use it in conjunction with the surface pen and have it connected to my phone. Web surfing, movie watching, drawing, light graphic design and video editing with battery life averaging around 8 hours. You can find great deals on this. With the price compared to an iPad, I mean you're getting full windows with expandable storage. It's great.

Not bad for a Windows Unit
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently had to decide between upgrading my MacBook air and switching to a Windows laptop for better game performance. Of course I also wanted a companion tablet for my big gaming rig. So I got a hold of the entry level surface and can say it’s not bad. Couple it with a good case and stylus and it delivers smooth performance and allows for mobile productivity. I use it at home and work, and am pleased with the device. Not a fan of windows but with it running on my new home rig and at the office, this tablet is a good addition to my personal tech.

Great but with one huge drawback
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to finish my senior year of high school and then continue to use it in college. And for what it is its great computer for school. Works great for writing papers and completing other assignments. I did take it out of S mode as soon as I got the product so I could have the full Windows experience. It does some very light gaming (I use it to play stardew valley). And It's a joy to use this laptop. However, there is one major drawback. The battery is terrible. With only about 4 hours on a full charge, I don't feel like I can get everything done without needing an outlet nearby. I just don't feel confident to use this for a full day of classes, because I can plan at some point to need to find an outlet. And I usually only work with one program at a time just to extend the battery for as long as possible. I love this laptop its just a shame that it can only last for so long.

Surprisingly awesome to a macbook lover!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am bitechual (I do both Mac & Windows). My OS preference has been and still is MacOS. However, Apple is no longer really innovating in the laptop space. In fact, my macbook is a mid 2012 top-of-the-line Air that's still running very well. However, I REALLY like touchscreens and 2-in-1 features. Apple is refusing to do that. Microsoft is doing it and, arguably, doing it better than anyone else with their Surface products. What caught me by surprise is how well this little Go is running. While it will likely not replace my Macbook, because of its size, power, battery life and innovative features, it has surprisingly become my daily driver over the last 3 weeks since I purchased it. It is still awesome! I have NO buyer's remorse. I even got the keyboard (overpriced but indispensable). Great power, function, ease of carry and innovation at a great price point! Get you one!

Best little tablet Microsoft has come out with
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just got my Surface Go yesterday. Let me say this...I have had almost every Surface tablet since the first Surface RT came out (what a disaster that was). I have a Surface Pro w/LTE to use for my job..has become to heavy and big to really feel comfortable with. My Surface book detached is also way to big to use in the field at accident scenes. I also have the Ipad Pro 12" w/LTE. Does not have the best filing system for working with files and Office stuff. have been watching this for the last month or so since Microsoft has been touting it was coming. I finally broke down and got it Saturday(8/4/18). Have been playing with it for 2 days. Left it in S mode for the entire trial period. Today I was able to update to Win 10 Pro. No issues there. It is light, adaptable for either desktop or handheld use, My Surface pen and Arc mouse work beautifully with it..although I did get the Microsoft mobile mouse because it was more comfortable to use. All in all I would have to say Microsoft got it right this time...now they need an LTE version soon please...yes the bezel leaves a lot to be desired..but I think Microsoft will fix this in future versions.

Excellent tablet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this Surface Go as a smaller, lighter alternative to a 15" laptop and an iOS phone. Meets the requirement very well, although a little expensive, especially if you add the keyboard cover. But they do work well together. Limitation on installing apps, only from the Windows store but that can be disabled and a full Windows 10 OS used. MS state it reduces secutiry but with good antivirus s/w it's probably not an issue. Good to have the USB-C port.

Nice product with a couple potential exceptions
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Surface Go is a very nice product - very lightweight and portable. I bought the keyboard cover with it and that is great when on the go. The two potential exceptions are battery life and the OS. Battery life doesn't seem that great with my somewhat limited use of it so far - we will see. Also, the OS that comes with the product limits the install of apps. I haven't upgraded to full Windows 10 yet but I will most likely do so soon. That will open up the apps available.

Solid PC for on the Go...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, I feel before critiquing a PC, know what you plan to use it for and plan accordingly. For me, I wanted some portable/lightweight/reasonably priced that would work with classes/assignments/light Steam streaming and multimedia. This computer has done all of that without any issues. If I can nit picky...i feel the keyboard should just be thrown in with the unit and and some of the first party accessories are way overpriced. Otherwise, love this little PC.

A Gift
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this computer for my mother as an early Christmas gift. She wanted something portable and light, but something that could handle photo editing programs as she is a photographer. She’s still getting used to it according to her, and is mostly struggling with getting used to the different interface. Overall, it’s a nice computer that performs functions correctly and works at a nice speed. It’s got good hardware and can handle some demands you may have.

Horrible battery
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Product is great exactly what I need as far as portability, but the batter isn't near 9 hours of life. Even with suggested settings and screen settings, and I kept it running Windows s mode. I also own the same model Microsoft "tested" 8gb ram and 128 g memory. I haven't added a memory card yet because I'm afraid the battery will drains lightly faster. To their credit the charger isn't to large so it's very portable

Fantastic all around tablet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the surface to replace my old laptop after 7 years and it doesn’t disappoint! It’s great for work, internet browsing, and just about every day use. Only thing I wish it came with was a longer charging cable since sometimes it’s hard to find an outlet nearby if you need to plug in and work. But overall, it’s fantastic as a tablet and as a laptop for someone who is always on the go.
