Fast and powerful. I bought it to take on an overseas vacation to use to connect remotely to work. I didn’t want to take my big laptop. It’s small enough to put on my backpack, but it was still workable to check and stay on top of my e-mails and some other tasks while I was gone.

I needed another laptop and I wanted to get something different than the traditional laptop. I decided on the Surface Go because of its great price, portability & size, and the fact that it has Windows 10. I don’t regret my decision at all. I love my Go, especially with the Surface Pen.

I'm enjoying the fact that I'm able to use it as a tablet and laptop 2-1 great product. I wanted something small that I can grab and go especially when traveling. It's perfect size and even if someone was to lean back on their seats it won't disturb me at all.

I travel alot(4-5 days a week) and needed a smaller machine that I could easily store in the seatback of an airplane seat. The size of this machine, and the performance of the machine exceeded all of my expectations.

I like that this tablet can be operated as a touchscreen computer with full workstation capability. The battery only lasts 3-4 hours with heavy app usage. I can get longer life if turning off WiFi, darkening the screen, and using basic computing. I purchased a stand alone high capacity battery with quick canary’s USB C port and a 45w wall charger with dual ports along with a quality USB C cable to cover my power needs. This way i don’t have to carry the bulky charger that comes with the unit (the Microsoft magnetic plug does not fit well with my aftermarket case). This aftermarket charging setup saves space and weight in my bag with multi functionality and charges as fast or faster than the factory setup.

If you are expecting a portable computer this is for you! The tablet is super portable, charges USB-c and works beautifully with adobe connect. It's pretty fast and easy to use. It's small size doesn't get in the way at all. Couldn't be happier.

We use these devices mounted to our forklifts, and for the most part, they are more rugged than I thought they would be. Because everything is solid state, there aren't many moving parts that can break. Only issues have been: 1. A few cracked screens, but that's to be expected. 2. Processor is a tad underpowered for my liking, but I understand that's to keep the price reasonable. 3. Windows updates appear to randomly mess with touchscreen responsiveness in certain apps, especially the browsers - when we attach a keyboard and mouse, everything works fine, but the touchscreen goes wonky. This, to me, is the most frustrating aspect of the device. Not sure why MS keeps breaking things with updates, but it gets tiresome. Overall, nice product for the price, but stop breaking things with updates, Microsoft!

Great small computer/tablet. Gets hot because there is no cooling fan. Not very ideal in a college classroom setting because of the kickstand. Two cameras make it a great portable laptop. Not too heavy, has the latest Windows 10.

My wife kept "borrowing" my iPad so I decided it was time to get another one. But, given I was using my iPad and pencil more and more for productivity and less for content, I decided to give a Surface Go a try. Overall, it is a solid ok. Is it an iPad replacement? Not exactly, in a lot of ways it's better. I review a ton of PDF files for my job and use remote access a bunch. Using Windows 10 is far more productive than using the restricted iPad OS. Is it an iPad replacement? Not exactly, in a lot ways it's worse. The battery life is not as good. Running full Windows 10 is more sluggish than the iPad OS. Overall, I would recommend this, but not at the full price. Make sure you get the pen, but I don't know if you have to have the keyboard.

I DID ALL MY RESEARCH AND WAS EXPECTING GOOD THINGS FROM THIS MINI PC. I AM PHOTOGRAPHY AND WANTED SOMETHING SMALL AND COMPACT WITH A STYLUS FOR EDITING PICTURES WHEN I TRAVEL. I EVEN OPTED FOR THE 8GB OF RAM WITH THE 128GB SSD DRIVE,WITH THE KEYBOARD AND STYLUS I WAS LOOKING AT CLOSE TO $800 DOLLARS THE SPECKS SOUNDED GOOD SO I BIT THE BULLET AND WENT ALL IN. WHAT A MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT IT,S NO MORE THAN A GLORIFIED LOW END COMPUTER ONE WOULD USE FOR SOME VERY LIGHT DUTY WORD PROCESSING OR WEB BROWSING THAT'S IT. ANYTHING ELSE YOU THROW AT IT,IT STARTS TO LAG,SLOWDOWN. RUNNING PHOTOSHOP, OR PHOTO DIRECTOR FOR RENDERING IMAGES AND EDITING WAS PAINFULLY SLOW FOR THE PRICE POINT OF 800 BUCKS YOU CAN DIFFIDENTLY DO BETTER,PROBABLY FOR HALF THE PRICE IF YOUR LOOKING FOR AND OVERPRICED TOY THE LOOKS CUTE TO SURF THE WEB,AND DO SOME LIGHT SPREAD SHEETS AND WORD PROCESSING ETC AND HAVE THE BUCKS TO THROWAWAY GO FOR IT. BUT IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A REAL PORTABLE LAPTOP WITH FULL FUNCTIONALITY LOOK ELSE WHERE I ALMOST FORGOT TO MENTION MICROSOFT HAS PREPARATORY SOFTWARE ON THE COMPUTER WHICH ONLY ALLOW THE COMPUTER TO RUN MICROSOFT APPS. YOU HAVE TO SWITCH TO WINDOWS 10 FULL VERSION TO GET FULL USE OF THIS EXPENSIVE TOY

Huge surface fan that wasn't disappointed

I am a huge surface fan and I owned the previous iteration surface 3 that was launched in 2015. It was due a renewal and I am glad I got it. This model is a bit slimmer both in thickness and in size, (though screen size is smaller it is barely noticable). It is also a lot more comfortable to be in your hands and you can type easier in it on portrait mode (due to its smaller size). The SSD really makes a difference in booting and also in general performance. This one rarely gets delays in most tasks (simple tasks like surfing the web, emails, word, excel, watching a movie). The only downside to it I would say is battery life. I get around 5 hours top of continuous usage, but that's enough for me, I am usually close to a wall outlet. Otherwise I highly recommend it.

My laptop broke before an exam I needed to study for one ASAP. It was on sale and seemed like a good option. Pro: It’s lightweight, portable and touch screen. Cons: Its not sturdy enough to have it on your lap and be able to type comfortably, small screen (thought it seemed like a good idea at 1st), unable to plug in USB without the USB adapter, unable to add a double portable monitor. In conclusion I truly regret not buying a dell or a regular laptop. I rarely use my laptop and ask to borrow my sisters Lenovo when it’s available.

I bought this pad to replace a larger Surface I've used for several years. The new smaller size is very convenient and easy to carry around. I use it and it's keyboard/case to access Office programs and other cloud based apps. I have had no problems with connectivity or access to these digital tools, and the only issue I have occasionally is I miss the mouse if I'm in a hurry and have a lot of scrolling type tasks. I could buy a mouse but don't want to keep track of it so this is ok for mobile use. Also plays Netflicks flawlessly. Battery time is also a bit better than the old pad. I give it 5 stars.
