It is what I would have expected from a tablet - small, light, etc. Making it a substitute for my desktop while I am traveling seems to be possible, but far more work than it should be. Starting with trying to install my standard browser, Firefox, the operating system seemed to just ignore my request with an incomprehensible warning about "S-mode". I tried to network it with my desktop but that proved impossible (for me), even when I tried a direct USB connection. I went to the old (very old) method of porting files by using an intermediate external drive. Even that required me to buy a special USB adapter. I have been working on it for about a week now. Making progress but still some way to go.

Good performance at a price. It burns through a full-battery charge like nobody's business. Using power-saver mode is a must when not plugged in. My use of "performance," above, should be qualified. I don't use it for games, only for very simple tasks. Email, reading, note taking (see below). The kickstand isn't good on my lap due to its small size and because of its very narrow edge. I assume they didn't design it to unfold out from the bottom because touching or writing while standing up would cause it to fold back closed. Am still trying to use it as a handwriting tablet. So far, this is hampered by the native Microsoft software - OneNote primarily and the slickness of the screen. Extra nibs from MS that add friction help a bit, but not to my liking, so I bought a 'paper-like' screen protector, which may itself have added sensitivity issues. Not sure yet. I did edit the registry to move the start menu to the top of the screen because my hand or arm kept triggering the start menu to steal focus from what I was writing. Still isn't perfect for handwriting - certainly not as convenient as my Supernote, which is made for just that, but doesn't work with OneNote for Android. (Supernot has its own issues with handwriting, so the killer note-taking tablet is still out of reach for me.) Bought the keyboard as a referb from Amazon. It's cramped and difficult for me to type with it. More training is needed, I guess. I say below that I'd recommend it, but for limited use cases. I ask myself why I didn't just get an iPad Pro, and the reason was that it's more expensive. Not sure if that's a good answer though.

I bought the Surface Go 3 along with the keypad and toggle for using a wireless mouse. I like how compact and light weight it is. It fits well in my backpack for traveling.

Good product, although we had a lot of trouble setting it up. The response from the keyboard is very poor. It is a very basic machine although it has good performance for simple jobs, it is not functional for games

Works wonderfully with my school, personal and work applications. The screen is a good size to be visually appealing. Compact enough to take along anywhere I go.

It's just too slow. It literally can't even run chrome well. It is nice looking, you just have to buy the faster one.

Was so excited to get this, wanted a simple 2 in 1 to do word processing/ web browsing in coffee shops. I even bought the keyboard, pen, and a mouse to go with it. Upon first booting it worked okay, responsive, not laggy. After hours of updates it lost 10gb of storage and CPU runs hot with nothing open. Edge is keeping the CPU maxed at 100% with background processes even when there are literally no tabs open of anything. Using ctrl alt delete took 20 seconds to load, and having 2 tabs open in edge gave page unresponsive errors. I am so bummed out, Edge is bloatware that can't be deleted. I will buy samsung from now on, my Galaxy s10+ phone from 2019 works more powerfully and efficiently than this surface go :/

The surface go 3 is a fantastic windows 11 tablet that can do anything you would want a tablet to do. Fast web browsing, high resolution and bright display, fast boot times, and access to a full windows operating system for more advanced tasks if you need to do them. I would not reccomend using this device as a gaming conputer becuase it is far from powerful enough for that. However, it is great for casual use.
