Great Machine, but poor Choice of OS Version

With that said MS leave off the professional version of the software was simply cutting a corner at the expense of their target customer. 9 times out of 10 this is going to be purchased for an enterprise user that will need W10 Pro, and the org will either burn an Open licenese or have to purchase a license from the store. Really crappy of them doing this. If you do not need Pro then this is the state of the art at the moment

We appreciate you sharing your honest feedback on Surface Laptop 2. We'd like to take an opportunity to chime in regarding our Windows Operating System. Although it is always an option to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro, the previous model of Surface Laptop came equipped with Windows 10 in S Mode. We listened to our customers, and with our newest model, made sure that we incorporated Windows 10 Home Edition. Of course if you wish, it is always an option for you to easily switch to Windows 10 Pro for a fee.
We hope you continue to love the powerful performance, and sleek design of Surface Laptop 2.

I bought the office 365, but have not even started to use it. So, I'm really happy with the function of it.

The build quality and size are really great. not sure I love the alcantara soft surround of the keyboard but it does feel nice. I hope it wears decently. otherwise it feels really really great overall.
