This laptop suites all of my wife's needs. She is a writer and often writes on a whim. Having a larger laptop or desktop computer was not an option. This is very light, portable, and comfortable to use when sitting on a couch, on her bed, or at the kitchen counter. She is very happy with this laptop. This is our second Microsoft Surface device, and we couldn't be happier with the quality and performance of their hardware.

The surface is terrific...ease of use..speed...durability...compact size

I bought this to replace my windows 7 laptop which is no longer supported by MS. So far so good. No issues setting up or using the laptop. Its light weight and easy to use. I'm still getting use to windows 10 and office 365. The mouse pad is a little large and I've had some issues with it zooming in but I plan to buy a wireless mouse. Now that I'm working from home more I'm glad I made this purchase.

I purchased this laptop for my 14 year old son. He enjoys it thoroughly for both personal use and school use. It’s definitely not for gaming however if you’re looking for a good device with adequate speed, touch screen, decent space, lightweight and good intel core processing, then I highly recommend this surface device. I have one myself through work and they are good devices.

Love the design of the laptop and good quality made. Fast and reliable

This is a great all around laptop. The size and screen are perfect. From an aesthetic standpoint I loved the cushion the keyboard has as it makes it stand out. The ease of setting it up and using the laptop was also a surprisingly easy and quick thing for a windows computer. I need to use it a bit more but so far it is a nice surprise for a windows product and I highly recommend it.

Good computer, love the keyboard. The microphone went out after about a year.

I love this lab top. At first when I was selecting a notebook this was not what I was getting. I bought the openbox because why note save a little. Works amazing. I forget the sales girl name but she was awesome. She showed me that the screen is military approved so when you drop it it wont shatter. I primarily use this notebook for school for CyberSecurity. I also use it for writing stories and right now I have hooked up a SanDisk 1TB, a Acer moniter with a HDMI cord that attaches to a HDMI and USB cord. The RAM is great. That was mainly my primary concern when first purchasing since I'm going to be needing a lot of tabs open and so far its great. The battery is good it lasts about 5 hours before reaching at least 30%. My girlfriend bough a Mac Pro and she is all about Apple but she was really impressed by this notebook.

sold build. screen fickers after a couple of years

I am loving my new Microsoft Surface Laptop. This laptop is sleek, lightweight and very easy to use and naturally I’ve fallen in love with it since day one. The only reason I’m not giving this product 5stars is simply because of the handrest section. This is quite an expensive laptop and the fabric handrest is going to be difficult to maintain. Thank God for Amazon as I found and purchased a cover to protect it from dirt.

Great battery life. Love soft feel of inside keyboard. Fast.

I don't use the laptop for very heavy graphics intensive tasks, but it has great battery life, slim and light form factor, and a beautiful screen. I switched from a Surface pro 4 and like this form factor much more. I don't use the touch screen functionality but it is there if needed.

I spent the better part of the last month and a half testing i5 and i7 models (current and last gen) and finally settled on the Surface L3. It has a superb build and looks great without being over the top flashy. It has a gorgeous, productivity-based panel set which can get very bright. you will need to crank this up whenever you're near sunlight as this is a very glossy panel and highly reflective. The keyboard and trackpad are also very good. The two downsides I see are average battery life for an i5 model in my opinion (about 6-8 hours) but not terrible at by any means. I also am suspect on the alcantara finish holding up for the long run but its doing great so far and feels very nice to the touch, Overall, I am satisfied with this purchase and won't be trading this in any time soon.

I thought my daughter would pick the Apple laptop because that is what her friend had...of course! But after comparing them side by side she pick surface 3 surprisingly! She has no regrets and loves the computer! It's fast, has a super clear screen and great sound. The battery lasts longer than expected and the ssd is great
